Goof buffet breakfast, best Kosher steak we've ever had
It's obvious that soundproofing wasn't a consideration when the hotel was designed and built, so the there were loud noises from adjoining rooms and the floor above, shower had either mold or mildew. Many cooked items on the breakfast and dinner buffets looked good, but had no flavor, indicating to me that they may have been cooked too far in advance of serving.
Luxurious but not 5 stars
The manager was amazing able to accommodate us after I booked the executive suites by mistake for my kids. The beach is the best and most comfortable one on the Dead Sea. The hotel has many pools, and is very spacious. The kids club has many options for entertainment. The hotel is clean.
The spa treatment rooms are very cold. I left without finishing my last treatment because I was so uncomfortable. The beds are on the hard side unlike other 5 star hotels I stay. There is no heating in the rooms, so was cold at night. No option for people who need a low soft pillow to sleep. Before leaving the beach we were told by concierge they have towels at the lifeguard booth. So after we do the mud and wash ourselves at the Dead Sea, we found no towels. He said they never keep towels there. luckily, we bargained with the lifeguard and exchanged two towels for a little flirting offering my nanny as a date (made NO sense but We needed towels for the kids).
Beware - Bugs and Maggots
He Hotel is very fancy, new and stylish.
Unfortunately, looks are deceiving. The bottom of the pool is covered with black mold. I personally removed one cockroach from my dinner plate and a maggot from my orange juice. Staff is clueless and undertrained, the hotel does not have direct access to the water (other hotels do), and they nickel and dime everything, from Internet use to use of a baby crib. This place is not worth the money and is dangerous.
The Isrotel Dead Sea Resort & Spa offers a lovely location right on the Dead Sea, but also within easy reach of most of the attractions Israel can offer. Ein Bokek Beach is nearby, as is the Bokek River. Funtasy Island offers fun and enjoyment for all ages. For travelers, Queen Alia International Airport is the closest to the hotel, which can be found 52 miles away.
There are 298 guest rooms and suites available at the Isrotel Dead Sea Resort & Spa, all of which offer luxury appointments and amenities. Guests can choose between rooms with views of the Dead Sea, suites with water views, family rooms, and pool view rooms. All offer blackout curtains, luxury beds and bedding, flat-screen TVs, cable programming, balconies or terraces, and Wi-Fi. Some rooms offer access to a jacuzzi, while others offer additional living space with large sofas, work desks and the like.
There are plenty of things for guests to enjoy during their stay at this property. The Esprit Dead Sea Spa offers indulgence and pampering, while the Solarium is the ideal place to soak up the sun and enjoy light fruit snacks and beverages. The Ranch House Restaurant serves up hearty fare, including Nebraska-grown beef, while ChillOut serves lighter food by the pool. The Moav Lounge is a great place for light meals and cocktails during a stay.
There is more than enough on the property that guests will not need to leave, but for those wishing to explore outside for additional dining options, there are the Aroma Café, Taj Mahal, Café Greg, and Tapuah Sdom within walking distance.
