Pros: We received a warm welcome from the staff, everybody was very friendly. You are from walking distance from the markets, the Portugese fort and the sea. Breakfast is realy nice in the garden with fresh orange juice, eggs, cake, several types of pancakes and home made jams. The room was very tasteful in oriental design.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Didn’t want to leave the Riad- like an oasis in the town. Would recommend to book a dinner there- best Tadjin we ate in Morocco was there

Pros: The staff is very helpful, they even brought us to go to the money changer. Also, we have to park our car at the carpark and the staff was very helpful to walk us to the carpark and brought us back. The design of the Riad is very nice and good breakfast as well.
Cons: Nothing but you need to have a car to reach there.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff at the Riad were extremely helpful. All of the facilities were clean and well presented. With limited access to restaurants in the area we opted for a meal at the Riad.We were disappointed as the quality of the cooking was outstanding and well worth the request.

Pros: Big rooms and bathroom with all the necessary for a nice staying. Very clean, new and beautiful riad 5 minutes walking from the Medina. Very good dinner and beautiful terrace. Suggested!

Pros: If you go to El Jadida, this is the place to stay! Lionel runs this lovely and gorgeous boutique riad located inside the old medina. He is an amazing host and made our experience in El Jadida unforgettable. Be ready to have an exquisite Moroccan breakfast freshly prepared by a very talented Moroccan chef! I cannot say enough good things about this place :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owner Lionel has been very helpful, nice and funny. He provided lots of information to us for our visit to el jadida and even showed us around on our first day where to eat and where to go. The house and room look even better than what we saw on booking.com, located strategically in the Portuguese city and the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend lionel and his house to travelers visiting the city.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 100 % Hospitality, you feel like at home, breakfast was the best we ever have. Whole Dar and the rooms are decorated wonderful! Merci mille fois monsiuer Lionel, Fatima and Meryem!!
Cons: All was perfect.

Cons: nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This beautiful riad is right in the Medina with parking very close by for those traveling by car. Everything here is first class, from the warm welcome with cookies and tea, the amazing decorations throughout, and explanations to explore the city. But mostly what makes this riad go above and beyond all others is the food. Breakfast included everything you could possibly want and the huge selection of fresh fruit was made into works of art. Thank you Mr. Lionel for a wonderful experience.
Cons: We loved everything

3.0 Mediocre
Cons: It is not a children friendly place
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities and activities are great the food is good although in the dinner buffet they dont of drinks, it was overall a tasty buffet The scenary is great and big,
Cons: Checking out waited for the bags to be collected for more than 30 minutes which made the plane leave us and kept telling the receptionist and they seem like they were offemded just because i wanted my bags, usually when ordering something simple like housekeeping didnt come or an adapter in room service they often take 50 minutes. The place is good but the staff you feel they need to be more active
4.3 Okay
Pros: Shisha in the Buddha bar was great as well as some key individuals in regards to customer service. Although this is the problem, individuals offer great service but unfortunately they are not the majority. Kids club were fantastic as well as the outdoor activities although a little expensive.
Cons: Customer service was better than previous stays, however food was mediocre as usual especially the Buddha bar, which was nothing like its more popular outlets. Also on one occasion we brought some guests for breakfast and frankly treated as if we were trying to scrape free breakfasts for them which was appealing customer service by the lady in the buffet restaurant. On another occasion the guard refused to let our guests pass to see the room again I presume as if we were trying to get free access for them. By the way our guests were distinguished local ladies who were made to feel embarrassed by the appalling security guards customer service and immediate assumption that we were sneaking them in. Frankly it’s disgusting and just mirrors my previous concerns about the dire customer service standards in most parts of the hotel. In addition breakfast is a nightmare scenario, like a cheap B&B. Lastly, we extended our stay by one day and frankly they abused the situation greatly because of this. Double the price for an extra night is disgusting trading activity by anybody’s standards more so by the rip off Kerzner merchants at this hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I liked the facilities of the hotel, the staff were very helpful and cooperative. Great place for families and friends.
Cons: Nothing
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Old carpet in the room

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was easy to find & restaurant nearby was good too.met expectations
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Close to the Portugese City. Lovely, updated riad. Breakfast on the terrace was fantastic!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A warm welcome. The girl at the reception was very kind and efficent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great find in El Jadida. Glad we stayed in this town for the night. Asma was a great host. Very close to the Portuguese cistern.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff tried very hard to please, breakfast was good.
Cons: Property is hard to find and sketchy people around it, parking risky. Disappointed hot tub was closed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation and staff were top class, wish we could have moved them along the road nearer to the sea .
Cons: Although it was situated near the Portuguese city and souk, we did not like El Jadida it was very dirty and the area was not nice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful modern rooms, great breakfast.
Cons: Surroundings area not exceptional.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very stilish place.
Cons: Staff despite being nice was quite clumsy. They were not having even access to booking.com. Hence we had to show them which room and for how many days we booked it (they did not know it).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Riad La Villa & Spa (Asma, Rizlan and Swet) are THE most hospitable, attentive and sweetest people ever! I literally cannot thank them enough for being so great during our stay in El Jadida. Each room in the Riad is different, but you pay the price depending on which room you stay in. Breakfast is included and was full of plenty of fruit, yoghurt, roti and pastries. Asma let us have breakfast at whatever time suited us which was great when we needed a bit of a lie in! The Riad has plenty of great communal spots - we often had breakfast or tea up on the rooftop and the boys definitely made use of the hot tub! Though El Jadida does get VERY cold at night and so I stayed clear of jumping in.
Cons: One thing I thought was a bit odd and is slightly awkward is that there arent any doors in some of the toilets and so unless you are travelling with someone youd feel comfortable hearing all of your toilet business with, maybe pick one of the more private rooms :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, very hospitable staff, clean rooms, delicious breakfast, unique arabic style. Very quiet and comfortable place right in the heart of the old city centre. If come to El-Jadida again, inshallah, will definitely choose this nice Riad.

Pros: Very nice place, not directly in the center but was perfect for us traveling by motorbikes. Owner is a very friendly woman, the dinner was the best we got in 14 days marocco. We stayed there two nights
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything 's been perfect. Nothing to compaint.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful house, beautifully decorated with simplicity and elegance, ample and comfortable. There's a lovely view of the area from the house and really nice gardens. It was really an oasis of calm for us after days on the Marrakech medina. Fatima's food is excellent as well! We highly recommend this gem of a place.
7.5 Good
Pros: The rooms size is really big and the setting is lovely but it was just too cold in the bedroom. Hot water runs out quickly.
Cons: Not enough hot water for shower. Rooms are very cold in the winter.
Maison d'Hotes Cite Portugaise - El Jadida - Bedroom

8.6 Excellent (494 reviews)
7.5 Good
Pros: The hosts went out of their way to supply me with special bread for breakfast, for my allergies.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The staff was nice and the location was good.
Cons: The room was not clean, the bathroom was disgusting and our room smelled of cat urine. One of the beds wasn’t made. We waited almost one hour for our breakfast, despite having scheduled it on the night before.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Manager very friendly. Pleasant open lounge area where you can sit and socialise. Enjoyed being able to buy a bottle of wine. Nuts and olives provided for free as we sat around chatting.
Cons: Wifi not great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly. After a quite night, the breakfast on the sunny terrace was delicious.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The location is fantastic and the property is lovely. The staff were welcoming and generous.
Cons: I gave this hotel a bad rating because we paid to SLEEP here and that was the problem. The property manager was a very nice person and he was sweet and accommodating with my 2 year old daughter. However, he stayed up very late with one of his friends talking underneath our terrace room. Their voices kept both of us up until about 3 AM. I had to ask TWICE for them to move downstairs to talk. So, of course I had a sleepy toddler on my hands the whole next day. I feel like the staff need to actually stay in their terrace rooms. The shower also has a serious issue with the hot water. It drips scalding water and the handle on that hot water gets so hot you can't touch it. Obviously, this is a little dangerous. I wish I had had a better experience overall.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked absolutely everything here: amazing place, amazing people...They take care of every detail, It is just ideal in all aspects! Highly recommended!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Tent is very hot. Breakfast is too simple and WiFi is weak.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful terrace with beautiful view to the wall and the medina. Nice, clean room and king size bed. We arrived one day later and it was very easy to chabge the date. The owner is really nice. We had a short but perfect time in the city.
Cons: The medina itself is not so clean than it was in Essaouira, but the city is more calm. :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, nice breakfast
Cons: Things move at vacation speed

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fine with the hotel. My wife arrived early and Fadwa was very helpful and accommodating until I arrived. We had the same room as before and it has a balcony. The room is a good size with seating and cupboards for storage. The room is a typical design and has a lot of natural light coming in.
Cons: Driving a car close to the Riad is possible but it's tight because the roads are narrow.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We checked in at night and everything was fine. There is a registration / booking process as with all hotels and this was quick and straightforward. Fadwa is very helpful and will help with requests. Ahmed, I think this is the name of the other member of staff is also kind and polite. It was a good experience and Fad and Ahmed look after us very well. The rooms are cleaned very well and toilet paper and towels are provided. Fadwa provided a very good standard customer service, from what my wife said to me. Don't be shy, ask Fadwa for anything.
Cons: Cars can drive close to the Riad which is in the old city but taxis will probably drop you off at the old city entrance. The Riad is about 1 minute walk from the old city entrance.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very good location - nice Riad. Very friendly welcome. Nice breakfast.
Cons: Basic room without window with outside view. But this probably in line with the price paid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nada.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the staff were so welcoming and helpful, fadwa and azeddine were too nice. The room was like in the pictures clean. I have had the best experience in there. Thanks for all the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect but the Staff is the best asset of this place, special thanks to Fatwa who made my stay even better with her kindness attention and amability!
Cons: Nothing, this place is just the perfect spot to enjoy Eljadida at its bestt
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was a nice and very affordable compared to other places in the area. Great staff, close to the beach, and a good place to relax.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Excellent location, just a minute from the main attraction - the cistern.
Cons: We were given a room the the groundfloor, sadly it was not equipped as a typical riyad, the bed was clean but the bathroom was not really. There were a lot of hairs from previous guests in the shower, no hot water at all and power sockets and some lights not working. We were not able to sit on the terrace at the top (if there is any) as in other riyads. Payment by cash only.
6.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good and Azzedine provided a warm welcome and nice service.
Cons: Overall the facilities are outdated and in need of repair and updates (for example, the bathroom door didn’t shut, bright orange towels were fine but felt musty and worn out). The quality of this riad could be improved and would make staying here more pleasant. We visited El Jadida during the off-season and did appreciate the nice welcome staff provided.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room size was very good and had a lot of natural light. The location of the Riad is close to the beach and amenities. The staff are very good. Fadwa is very helpful and will always provide information and on what we can do and where to visit. The staff at the Riad are good people and the room is cleaned everyday and we always get new towels and toilet paper. Our room had a balcony but the Riad also has a roof terrace and the views are fabulous. You can see the sea and have a panoramic view from there of the city. I stayed at the hotel from 3rd July to 8th July. However my stay in El Jadida was extended because I missed my flight and so I stayed from 8th July until 11th July at this Riad. I have stayed at many hotels in El Jadida but Riad Ksar is the best. I intend on staying at this Riad for future visits. The staff have a good level of English and this is very important.
Cons: Everything was great at the Riad.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spent a great time in Riad Ksar El Jadida, which was just renovated and has a wonderfull terrace with view on the harbour. It was very clean and the hospitality of Fadwa and Azzeddine makes your stay in the middle of the cité portugaise very easy. Azzeddine is a wonderfull host, who can give you a lot of informations, if you need them. Can recommend the breakfast with fresh orange juice, cheese and very tasty pastry.

Cons: the rooms are big and luminose but they might need a little rennovation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful. I had no problems with my big dog ( a Landseer ) , he could run in the huge garden . The room , I booked , turned out to be a huge suite , a bathroom to dance in it . The whole was decorated with very good taste, the living room had an access to a small private garden ...... just a dream ! The menu was very good, even the wine list had a wide range of drinks and cocktails and wine .
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The place is beautiful
Cons: It could be cheaper
Pullman Mazagan Royal Golf & Spa - El Jadida - Building
9
8.3 Excellent (1,275 reviews)
Overview Reviews
This 5-star hotel in El Jadida Bay is not only where you get away from it all, but where you get it all, too: peace and quiet, forest and sea, and a superb 18-hole golf course. The Pullman Mazagan Royal Golf & Spa was entirely renovated in 2012 and happen s to be a great place to have a meeting or get some work done. In a lovely setting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very nice experience, the hotel is big with very nice and clean rooms, service on point and the workers were nice and welcoming. We had breakfast with a breathtaking view !
4.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good Pool area was nice
Cons: Room was not ready upon arrival. Very inconvenient as we had a crying baby with us. Initial room the door was broken, phone not working, bed unmade, toilet not clean. Alternate room was not clean, with ants all over the floor Reception unresponsive
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Every thing else was awesome
Cons: Prince little higher than I expected
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: I had a really bad experience... unacceptable for this type of hotel. The bathroom wasn’t clean when we arrive and was not working.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff very bad. Old room furniture.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Swimming pool
Cons: the breakfast was quite varied considering the price we paid. The restaurant was poorly organized. The front desk staff was not very welcoming. There was a disturbing smell in the room facing the garden, apparently it was an insecticide.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Do not miss the Moroccan part of the restaurant, the food was AWESOME!
5.0 Okay
Pros: I got a sea view room but extra 30% which is fair but it offered nothing extra in executive room. Room service is good
Cons: The room is old, bedsheet were very old and damaged. No air condition. Foods are very expensive, more than London 5* hotel price. Dinner (buffer) is £50 but very minimal options. No local taxi service to local town (10 minutes drive) but they charge me £50 return, expensive. No gym or good facilities here. I really don’t know why this hotel is rated as 5* which is misleading. As no airport taxi is available in local, I have to book hotel taxi which cost me £280 to airport. This is totally low standard hotel but you would pay 5* rate. No one speaks English including breakfast staffs.
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast spread is good. The eggs were made to order and great. The Moroccan tea was excellent.
Cons: They served cold parathas. The availability of brown bread was limited. They had no low fat options and only ordinary butter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the confort that I had. Thanks
Cons: Everything is well

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is worth the value

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed and big breakfast.
Cons: Noisy street and not enough noise isolation of the windows.
6.8 Good
Pros: It was located in the centre and the breakfast was freshly made and delicious.
Cons: The staff speaks so poorly English, the rooms are clean but all the furniture is old and needs change. The street is really noisy and it is difficult to sleep even when the windows are closed. The view from the room is not so nice because of the neighbourhood - the higher the floor the better. We told the reception that we will add one more night to the stay because we were at a wedding till 7 in the morning and they wake us up at 11:30 to check out- so annoying.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The kindness and friendly staff, very nice place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great and very helpful and friendly staff, always answering questions and helping with everything. Great price. Good location, close to ENCG university, ONCF station and bus station. Lovely ocean view from the rooftop terrace cafe (seaview and great cocktails). The beach is just a minute walk away. Super clean room and lovely maids - the room was shining ;). I have visited more than 50 hotels in Morocco, but this one had no flaws at all (comparing the price to the quality)
Cons: Honestly... nothing! Walou, koulchi mzian! ;)
10.0 Excellent

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Dar El Jadida in El Jadida, you'll be just steps from El Jadida Citadel and Citerne Portugaise. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and luggage storage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big room, really nice roof terrace with good breakfast. Excellent location, portuguese historical city is really awesome.
Cons: The only negative was a dog from another house barking almost all night.
6.3 Good
Pros: Inside the city walls, breakfast, cost.
Cons: Sadly, we got no sleep between the barking dog, rooster and imam we were awake all night. Since the main reason I book a hotel is to sleep I cannot recommend it.
7.0 Good
Pros: good location, easy to find. Big rooms and nice terrace.
Cons: Wifi was terrible, even my 4G didn't work well on that location.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location but very noisy outside. Basic breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and cute little Riad with a lot of history. Rooftop has a great view over the sea. Breakfast on the rooftop was fun. Owner very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Dog tied up on a rooftop with a short rope next to the Riad, barking all night. Animal abuse. Nothing to do with the owner of the Riad though. Parking is not free. One has to pay a security guard. Nothing to complain about at the Riad itself . Everything was perfect.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room/bedding, etc. was clean, smoking in room allowed. Breakfast simple but adequate. Nice terrace and view .
Cons: Had some missing money when returning from shopping - three other travelers later also had money missing - the wife of the owner would knock on the door everyday to see if you were in the room - apparently it was her who was going into the rooms and stealing money. She would smoke hookah in the breakfast room - loud television in the morning - cost ten euros to use the kitchen. Internet access would go out for hours before router re-set. Very loud neighbors throughout the day and night, including dogs, cats and roosters. No screens on windows means flying/biting insects prevalent inside the room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean bathroom and great breakfast
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooftop was beautiful, the dar was in a convenient location in the medina. The room was huge, by far the biggest I found in Morocco staying in locations at this price point. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The private bathroom was divided into two sections. Inside the bedroom was a shower and sink. Outside was a toilet with a sink without running water. Not the end of the world but it was a bit weird. Would have been helpful to have known this beforehand.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The place was adequate with a small but adequate breakfast. The owner was very nice and helpful Italian guy.
Cons: It was an o.k. place, but the neighbors were loud even late at night/early morning. There is no screens on the windows, so insects were free to come and some bit. Internet went out once in a while and took a while before it was re-started. There was some petty thievery by the owners wife - theft of about 20 euro from me, but three guys that came after me was missing about 100 euros. Loud television woke you up in the morning for breakfast, owners wife smoked hookah in the breakfast room, too sunny and too windy to sit outside for breakfast most mornings. Most of the eating places were outside the fort area (long walk). If you want to use the kitchen to cook anything it costs money. It is a small fort with not many sales shops, but the shops that were there were very (too) aggressive.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Very poor breakfast. No air in the room.....

7.5 Good
Pros: Great location and amenities, with a delicious breakfast.
Cons: Unfortunately, we got bedbugs from staying here. I think they must have come from previous travellers, as the room and bed were clean and comfy. Hopefully the owners take care of the infestation quickly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, good communication, great breakfast, clean rooms, great location — a bit tricky to find at first, but they waited for us and took us there. Definitely recommend this place.
7.5 Good
Pros: The decoration and terrace were nice.
Cons: We didn't dare going barefoot in the bathroom. In three days there has been no cleaning.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The family is friendly and helpful. Very good Moroccan breakfast with Msemen and juice and mint tea.
4.3 Okay
Pros: I cannot say... because we were not at the riad!!
Cons: The problem is... we were not accommodated in the Art Riad! Our “room” was an apartment far away from the riad. Not the thing agreed during booking stage.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Riad, nicely decorated. Very sweet housekeeper. Owner has two riads. We booked for this one but Moulay upgraded us to Art House. Guess it suits to have all guests at one Riad rather than one or two guests at two Riads. Art House is directly inside the entrance to the Médina, we meet Moulay at his shop Nomad, which is also on the same road, so easy to find. Great roof terraces on different levels.
Cons: Being on the main road inside the Médina we got to listen to daily & nightly life of the locals. This is enjoyable most of the time until you want to sleep...earplugs help solve that. Apart from that, this is a great place to stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A nice, good value little riad in the heart of the Portugese City with great views from their two terraces. Their communication is good and it was relatively easy to find the local contact who was very welcoming and helpful.
Cons: A bit short of kitchen goods.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: very nice place with beatiful terrace with view to the port. nice clean room. Located dirrectly in the old city center. Staff was kind and helpful.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is in between of houses inside the Portuguese City where you could experience the daily life of people living there. A nice place to just walk around at the alleys (I was never disturbed; I received only silent smiles). Could see the sea from rooftop rest area. The hotel is comfortable. Hot water is available. Breakfast is good. Quick (a fast food restaurant) is just 5 minute away.
Cons: It could be lonely if there are no fellow travellers around.

7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly owner / manager.
Cons: Somewhat challenging to find at first. There was classical music all evening while I had preferred to sleep instead
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Riad was nice and clean, the room was nice and spacious with nice bathroom. The guest-keepers were really sweet and helpful with tips how to get around the city. Breakfast was simple and delicious, with the best morrocan tea we tried so far on our holiday here. The Riad is close to the old Portuguese city, few minutes walk distance. However finding the location was a little tricky. It’s the best to call for an advise on parking and how to get to the Riad. We were picked up from a mall by the owner, who is really nice, for the first time. After that we just used google maps till we got around the tinny streets of the medina.
Cons: Slightly tricky location.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Yacine is a great host, the Riad is extremely well located and El Jadida doesn’t have the usual hassle of other Moroccon cities.

Pros: The place is charming and elegant.
Cons: The woman at the front desk did not speak English well and was annoyed by having to answer in English. Very uncomfortable. At breakfast, if you ask for water, they charge you for it.
