Very close to metro station. The stuffs are very friendly and nice. Nothing specific.
5 min from the acropole. Friendly staff
Staff very nice, friendly, helpful Neighborhood is iffy. It meant that we couldn't wander around looking for a restaurant in the evening without staying on main street. but one block from Metro which trumped everything!
excellent, professional staff - clean - stylish hotel, close to attractions, to metro. Recommend it to everyone
The hotel was stated to be a 3 star, it was no were near that. It was dirty, small, the A/C was not working very well. No view and the price was to much for what they offered. Everything, the price, the room, the lack of cleaning, the service, etc.
excellent service and hospitality, clean room, good prices, close to the centre.
Central location Double room too small, double bed not comfortable, not very clean; description indicated new re-modelation and we expected modern hotel.
it was quit close with the metro station. the rooms are to small and you have to have your breakfast in other hotel crossing the street. One day I haven't electricity and of course no air condition. It was terrible, and then 2 days the elevator doesn't work and I have my room located at 7 floor. So, I have to ask for changing the room.
The staff in the hotel was very friendly and helpful, the hotel is located very close to the center, 3 minutes away from metro station - perfect location for sightseeing tours. Room for 4 people was extremely small and not very comfortable; even though it was said there is a free public parking outside, it appeared the parking needs to be paid for; the hotel needs some renovating.
The staff were good the guy on the front desk was brilliant. Close to the Metro and a quick hop to the Acropolis. Good hotel, cost effective would recommend.
The location is not close to the main city center, but the excellent metro, a few footsteps away, compensates everything. No unsafe feeling, because the neighbourhood is always relatively busy day and night . The staff is extremely friendly and warm. We didn't take breakfast nor took part in other facilities, so no comments there. A showercurtain woud have been nice. And wifi instead of wall sockets.
Very nice staff, hotel easy to find just outside train/metro station.Location might not be perfect but it is very close to the public transport that takes u to the city, big supermarket few minutes away few cafes around, room was quite small but extremely clean and comfortable na
The staff was very helpfull and adorable - great for a family stay with young children and only a couple of metro stops from the old centre.
Excellent value for money hotel. Recentle renovated, close to the center [1 metro station away, even by foot] without the disadvantages. Perfect for a couple of days or more. The rooms were clean and tidy. Personally i've stayed at much much more expensive hotels in Athens that didn't offer the same quality of service. highly recommended I honestly couldn't find a way to turn the airconditioning off, but didn't bother to ask for help at the reception, so i can't complain, it wasn't that much of a problem
The staff were very friendly and our room was clean and had everything we needed. Our room was located next to the main road so the traffic was a little noisy.
Convenient location. Do not book this property for a romantic stay, or if you want to lounge/swim/be a beach bum. Do book it for a convenient access point to explore Athens on a city break or if you have business in the area. It is a well managed, clean and pragmatic property which offers friendly personnel, excellent facilities incl free fast wifi and accessibility (car, rail).
the food in restaurant the noise in the rooms
Hotel in the centre and rooms as quiet as on the countryside. Price of the breakfast at EUR 20. I don't eat that much to make up for such an elevated price, so I went out for breakfast.
Hotel stuff were very reliable, helpful and cheerful. Also, it was a fast-speed internet access in the rooms, that is quite unusual.
Wonderful staff and service, lovely breakfast, great location
The decor was really unique.
Over the top design hotel which makes it a different and fun place to stay. Big breakfast buffet. If you have a design hotel (or any hotel for that matter), maintenance ought to be a high priority. Unfortunately this is not so much the case. The room was fine, but the svimmingpool in the basement was really dirty and worn down. Rather a shame.
the reception is super cute with the mini cooper reception desks and the design of the hotel is very artistic. my room had a batman painting on the wall. not hanging on the wall, ON the wall. well the only thing is that the doors make these weird alarm sounds when u're entering, and the morning of my stay someone's door alarm had gone crazy and i was woken up to have to call the reception to help turn it off.
Location was great, very close to Monastiraki Square for lots of shopping and good eats. Staff was very helpful. Would have loved a pool, but knew we weren't getting that when we signed up. Great value. Would stay here again. Would have loved a pool, but oh well! Everything else was great!
Nothing The rooms and facilities were not of a 5 star standard as advertised. The surrounding area was not very pleasant.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Gave us good ideas on where to go for dinner and booked the restaurant for us.The hotel room was very pleasant and trendy. Our wake up call was late by 20 min. I believe there was a confusion from their side and we got the wake up call when the taxi was ordered for.
proximity to office unfriendly; smelled of smoke; overpriced breakfast; no real hairdryer in the bathroom
Everything was woderfull. No, the hotel was wonderfull too.
Staff were very polite and comfort was excellent No English tv
I was for a holiday with my son (he is 21 years old). The staff was very friendly, very helpful and the room was good, spacious and clean. It is not close to the center, in any case you can not go by foot. A metro station is close, but if you are going during the summer (how we was) and outside are 37 degrees even this distance is a lot. The hotel have a shuttle for the center, but they are only 4 by day
I was on a tour. The first night was on me. very good room and this extended to second night. Off i went on the tour and returned for last night. This room was very small and nothing like the first night. There was painting and construction on floor and we had to pass through this to get to the room. The hotel did call to let me know about the length of work and offered a new room. I was too tired to move. They did send up a lovely tray of fruit and bottle water. I think the size of the room was picked by the tour not the hotel. The staff was great. The business center. Not personal at all. I walked in asking about the getting a boarding pass. The lady pointed to the computer. I explained that I was not knowledgeable about computers. I was told to key in my airline and follow instructions. No help. She was not busy. I guest I look like a tourist and not a business person.
The pool is very nice - the bar up there should be open for a longer period
excellent hotel esp for this price a stain on the chair, didn't actually matter
Perfect for Easter Break, Hotel one of the best Iv ever stayed in
all, but the staff more
Our family enjoyed the rooftop pool as a wonderful break from sightseeing, and the included breakfast far exceeded expectations !!
The executive floor service and the ambiance in the reception area. Style of the hotel was old, classic, not what I would expect from hotel classified as mainly business hotel.
The views of Athens from the rooftop where the pool and gym were situated were wonderful. Breakfast was too expensive
Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The common areas of the hotel are beautiful. Room was spacious. A/C worked exceptionally well. Bathroom was large. Room furnishings a bit dingy. Minor problems such as burnt out lightbulbs, no remote for the TV, shower drained very slowly. But for the nightly rate all these things were worth it.
Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Exceptional room. The area around is not the best, but quite close to main attractions.
The staff of the hotel is very friendly and service minded, even at night they provide you with internet wires, drinks etc a tiny criticism , the breakfast coffee is really not strong enough.
location, friendly staff and informative with tourist information
The friendly welcome received after the while it took to get there was really pleasing, free drink and informative talk of where to go and what to see. Nothing bad about the hotel itself, just the outside location of poor quality but then again most of Athens is of poor quality.
Friendly stuff. Dangerous area
The hotel is great. The staff very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and theie English superb. On the day I left there was a taxi strike and they offered a car free of charge to the tube. The breakfast is very good. The rooms quite large and very clean. Internet connection in the room is an added bonus. The Art Hotel is a little away from the Plaka near Omonia. It is a 15 minute walk to the main tourist sites. The 5 minute walk to the tube takes you through an area frequented by prostitutes. I felt safe at all times and was not hassled at all but this may make some people feel uncomfortable.
The personell were very polite and they were trying to help you all the time! The breakfast was very good and the location of the hotel excellent. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were excellent. Great value for money definetely recommending it!!
Decor was unique, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Eileen was helpful! They made us a breakfast two hours early before time because we had an early flight. The room was small, which in Athens is understandable, but the furniture was too big for the room. There were two a/c units in the room, which we didn't know one didn't work. Missing remote for the working one, and never cooled the room down. The phone didn't work until staff said we had to jiggle the cords. The area of the hotel wasn't the best, but the price reflected.
The hotel staff were very friendly and we were greeted with a complimentary drink on arrival. The hotel rooms and deco are very fresh, bright and modern. The hotel is located in a rather rough part of town with lots of people hanging around on the street.
The surrounding area is horrible.
Polite and friendly staff at the reception desk, big clean room and bathroom. Location is not very good for the tiorist
Excellent value for the price. Wonderful people, very basic but clean room, and it had a balcony, everything worked fine. I would say this is a good 2.5 star hotel, you are not in any fancy neighborhood at all, but it is a four minute walk from the metro and very easy to find. If someone is on a budget, this is as good a place as any for basic accommodation. Breakfast was fine as well. All in all exactly what one expects for a budget hotel in a large popular European tourist destination. Nothing I did not like based on price paid. If you want a luxury hotel this is not the place for you. If you want good value, basic clean accomodation, very friendly and helpful owners, and are not looking for an upscale neighborhood, excellent value here.
The hotel all together is good for the price. The rooms are clean, the staff is nice. We missed some vegetables and fruits from breakfast, but still, it is o.k.The surrounding is horrible, but it is not the fault of the hotel.
Incredible location for what you're paying. The staff was super nice and they've got a little bar at the location if you want to have a drink before you go out. The beds aren't really comfortable but I mean that's just nitpicking at that point. If you're in Athens to sight see and you won't be in the hotel much then I cannot find a good enough reason to not suggest this place to someone.
It is a comfortable hotel and the breakfast is good The area where the hotel is located is not good. I do not recommend this hotel to a woman who is traveling alone, the area of the hotel at night can be dangerous
Breakfast was good, bath was small and air condition didnt work
near metro, good location breakfast
very comfortable beds
Very near to city center and metro. Nice and good environment as opposed to other hotels in the same area. Guidance on how to visit the city , what to roam around etc. No proactive guidance.
nice location, easy access by metro and walking, but a bit dangerous surounding area. not stabile hot water supply, during bath, it can turn to too hot or cold.
The location is good as it is very near Omonia metro station (about 5-10 min walk). However, the staff was rude and not very helpful (esp the hotel manager). The hotel is not service oriented at all and would not go out of their way to assist or pacify unsatisfied customers.
It is centrally located in the centre of Athens about 150m walk from Amonia Metro Station. This station also provides easy access to the airport by Metro. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean. This hotel offers good value for money for the relatively inexpensive nightly rates. I would stay here again if in Athens.
Staff is so friendly although they will agree taxi charge upfront with the driver so watch out. And if you are up for being in he centre of red district-go for it!! ;-) Poor breakfast although warm and crusty pastry is making up for it.
The staff were friendly and the location and bar prices were excellent. The fact that they doubled the price of the stay because of the UEFA Champions League Final being hosted in the city.
very close to the omini station on the metroline and only one change from the airport + direct route to the olympic stadium
,clean, a few steps away from subway entrance, free wifi in the room
Location was great Shower nozzle has no place to stand while taking a shower. Has to be manually held
Very convenient location. Very poor facilities.
All staff were so friendly and did they best to satisfy customers. The location the hotel is based became the worst for the whole Athens during last 10 years.
The place is good and it has a good food The people is so rude
The hotel is within a ten minute walk of the Larissa Metro station. Hotel and the street bordering the entrance are being renovated which degrades the ambience, but the hotel staff provided a renovated and quiet room away from it all.
breakfast old furniture in the hotel qnd if having a shutle from Airport to the Hotel it will be excellent.
Very nice hotel! We enjoyed our stay and had an amazing time in Athens! It could have been a little closer to all the sites, or closer to the metro station. Next time we will probably stay in a hotel near the heart of Athens, so we wont have to use the subway as much.
Modern facilities Rooftop was not lit at night, Unable to have drinks on the rooftop (even if October, the weather was still fine), location was very bad (did not go out at night as did not want to walk in the area at night).
Decently large rooms by European standards, nice view from the rooftop pool. Decent price, and comfortable bed. Pool hours are very limited, I figured I could go for a swim after being out for the day only to be told the pool closes around 1830. Presumably, they don't want to sacrifice the bar ambiance around the pool by people actually using the pool. And it didn't reopen until 9am in the morning, too late to be useful before needing to run out for the day. Typical terrible Greek hours. Very disappointed that the pool, one of the main reasons I booked the hotel, was 100% useless. You should consider it for show only. The hotel isn't in a bad area (by comparison to the rest of Athens), but the walk to the metro is not the most enjoyable and I kept an eye out for unsavory people. I was surprised to find a Novotel in such a residential area - nothing close by that you'd want to walk to (except the metro to head to a more interesting area). The view from the roof could be Lebanon or the Gaza Strip if you didn't see the Acropolis way off in the distance.
The size of the room. The area where it was situated, though it is in the center of athens, it's probably the worst part of athens. But still, for that price you can get a cab (if he decides to work) to anywhere you like and still pay less than a hotel of the same quality in a better area of the city.
all rooms are renovated
clean quality service parking city center easy to find
Good sleep after a month on a yacht in Greece
Clean nice hotel, good breakfast, nice view from the roof The location is terrible
It was available on short notice, was very clean and pleasant. We found a great restaurant 2 blocks away!
We dont like at all. Reception doesnt speak english, air condition doesnt work rooms, internet doesnt works.and you must beg morning you got it one cup coffee, nothing else, rooms smells, and we chance rooms couple of times inside 24h and every roms is same.MAXIMUM Is 1star hotel, allmost every hostels etc its much bedders like this "hotel".
Friendly Staff Not that easy to find
value, conveience, location and staff
i had to change my room 4 times in first day.and internet didnot work in intier hotel just at the cafe
Clean rooms and near the sea and boulevard, access to public transportation, quiet area. It is a hotel also for people who stay half days or some hours to perform some other business.
The hotel was clean. The area is quiet. The staff is not very well trained to serve customers. The bath needs some reparations on the ceiling. It looks almost like a cave. I hated their offer for breakfast.
fine location, in the middle of shopping center. breakfast was excellent.staff willing to help. cleaning service was excellent no terrace restaurant
The location is the main advantage of the hotel. I didn't like the small bathroom in which it was difficult to move.
Very convenient location, very comfortable.
Excellent customer service, modern and spacious room I will definitely come back and stay with Electra.
Location, comfort, cleanliness and value for money
Convenient location, very comfortable double room for single person! No
Friendly, courteous, helpful staff, great location, clean, attractive facility
location, staff, and enviornment
good location One staff in reciption was not polite in giving info about additional taxes and wanted me to just sign the credit card bill quickly!
Excellent location, at 2 minutes walk from stop of X95 bus from airport; around corner from Akropolis. Good room, friendly staff, great breakfeast No complaints
Room was tiny, bathroom was tiny, staff was incredibly rude. Make sure you state the number of guests (e.g., 2) and not just that you need one bed or they will try to give you twin bed.
it was clean and new Not very near to metro
break fast, friendly staff Man door outside lift, 3 steps to access the room
The bathroom was roomy, clean, and nice. The furniture in the room was all matching and liked nice. Late night check in was a breeze. The bed was extremely hard.
Room, free internet
the room was very big. the breakfast buffet offered a wide range of choice
service value no wi-fi access
Very good hotel facilities, nice roof garden!! Value of money as a four star hotel.
Breakfast was great Room size good Friendly staff Good wifi
Personal muy amigable, eficiente y servicial.
Good Hotel, was nice to stay there! Close to the market and metro as well to the city centre.
Polite Reception Stuff. Price! Definetely worn out and shabby, not 4*! Breakfast was of poor choice, and there was too much noice in my room!
The location is great, only 3-4 minutes walk from Omonoia square. The view from the room was amazing, Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill. The bed was very comfortable, and free wireless internet!!! Small thing that isn't worth to mention. The value for money is very hard to beat.
Not sure this hotel is worthy of a 4 star categorisation. Room was very small and the shower inoperable
The view from the rooms is amazing. The service was really good. We consider the hotels' roof garden with it's great view relaxing atmosphere a great place for food and cocktails. It's close to the center of Athens and we had easy access to the metro(Omonia Station). We highly recommend the Bistro next to the lobby for coffee and evening drink. If you visit Athens and you are looking for a pleasant stay,go to Polis Grand Hotel!!!
The breakfast and the staff were excellent. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The walls were thin and you could hear your neighbors. The bathroom was very poorly set up. There was no door to the shower so water got all over the floor. If someone was using the toilet and another person opened the door, it would open onto their knees. The toilet paper holder was located in an awkward position behind the toilet...hard to reach. The hotel is located in a rather rough neighborhood.
close to Metro subway. close to Metro, but bad environment. Too laud to sleep. Window sound insulation is terrible.
The position was good, friendly / helpful staff / good breakfast
Breakfast and the 8th floor restaurtant which has an amazing view of Athens, Nothing. Basically the holel has low quality of mattress and pillows. They do not provide complimentary beverages of any kind. The location is on a busy street and is surrounded by narrow streets and apartments. The hallways are dark and lights are too dim to see the door number or the side of key to put into the electronic lock. I am not sure it is a 4-star hotel.
A nice looking hotel with a fantastic view of the surroundings from the top roof! Wonderful breakfast and nice staff at the breakfast and in the lobby. Not very alert personnel at the top roof restaurant, lots of mistakes, the food was ok but costed more than it was worth! The beds were far to hard for all of us and that is the reason why we would not choose this hotel again even if our room was very good. The poolhours could be more generous.
Pool very nice Nothing
very helpfull and friendly staff. clean hotel. nice location. away from downtown rush. none
Nothing-This is not a five star hotel (a five star hotel has workable equipment, supplies dressing gowns and slippers and usually the beds are of a reasonable size-we had the opportunity to stay in a 3 star and it seemed like heaven compared to this hotel. Paying extra for a hotel with a swimming pool is simply a waste as it was closed and does not open until after Easter. The AC was not working, the decor was poor, the toilet seat stained, towels worn out and dirty, bed not a double and couldn't even fit the child on the single bed supplied and due to the AC not working the windows had to be opened resulting in it being very noisey and got bitten badly by mosiquitos-the hotel could not even supply an electrical or any mosiquito remedy.
Very good welcome, real feeling to be a customer. The staff did all their best so that we had an enjoyable stay Room air conditioning little bit noisy
Tout en général Internet payant
Good position of the hotel, the room number 711 (superior) is better and with good panorama (Partenone and hill). Good service and quality for Greece and not expensive. Five stars as four in Italy, France or Germany, but really very good for a nice weekend. Thumbs up!!!
The hotel is under reconstruction in some area and there is noise, also the rooms had a bad smell and it was necessary to keep the window open. The location is good, we had a nice view but I don't think that the 5 stars of the hotel are corect ( maybe 4 stars is right).
The location is far from the city center. The hotel has only one restaurant including a pool bar which was booked for a private function for 2 nights. This limited us to dine in the indoor restaurant. The female waiter was too rude and didn't want us to sit in the dining area but only next to the bar.
Breakfast is very nice and the staff are helpful The room is old. The nearest Metro station Victoria station is closed during my stay!!! Can't beleive it!!
close vicinity to all sights
Location is very nice.
Excellent service, good location, excellent spa & fitness center. Nothing
The comfort and service were of the highest quality. We enjoyed our stay, and were made to feel welcome. The food and beverage prices were extremely high, so we availed ourselves of these to the very minimum!
Very pleasant and knowledgeable concierge We didn't like the room first provided but after complaining received smaller but with much better view. Why not to provide the better room initially?
Fantastic foyer, great roof top garden restaurant, luxurious.
Loved the elegance of the hotel, service and roof top dining. Nothing, just perfect!
Room is well appointed and very comedienne. Staff is friendly and helpful. A beautiful well decorated old hotel with modern conveniences. Service in restaurants was a little sporatic. Water pressure in shower a little weak. No check out on TV, and in person checkout was slow.
the service and rooms were all exactly as advertised this is truelly a 5 star hotel.
The hotel as name suggests was very Grand the design was very beautiful
Friendly staff that speaks English really well. Perfect location: in quit street next to busy Plaka. Nice breakfast with view on Acropolis! Rooms were simple (especially bathroom was sober), but at the moment of staying there they were renovating rooms.
The location is very good and the view of the Acropolis from the rooftop garden is superb. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bathrooms need some upgradation.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Internet connection was terrible. The signal was on and off and you can use internet not more than a minute. The computers down at the lobby are very slow. The bed was making peculiar noise. It was like a nightmare to turn from one side to the other. The mattress was ok but the bad base was making noise. And also the room was stinky. I had to keep the balcony door open so many times to get rid off the smell in the room. There is no shampoo in the bathroom. Other than all the above, it's a good and safe place.
Great location, can walk to most places of historical interest. And breakfeast overlooking the Acropolis was worth the stay.
nice staff, location with walking distance to everywhere, breakfast in the roof garden with view of the acropolis, balcony in everyroom bathroom is not that good
Breakfast at the open terrace with Acropole view Cash payment
Competitive rate for a hotel of decent quality, helpful staff, decent breakfast. Located on an unattractive street, although the location relative to City sites and the metro is fine.
They had a good American breakfast each morning. The staff were helpful in helping friends that had been pickpocketed. The halls were very warm, dim and an ugly colour.
location: near the metro stop named Singuru-Fiks The AC was aimed at the pillow/head area of the bed/ too chilly for me
The reception and communal areas are excellent. The breakfast was very good too, one of the best hotel breakfasts that I've had in a while. The rooms let the hotel down. They were fine but i think if they modernized them a little the hotel would be loved to 4 stars.
The hotel is clean, the staff is courteous and the location is close to the Parthenon/Acropolis and public transportation. I was not unhappy.
Ο πρωινός μπουφές σε συνδιασμό με την τιμή οχι
The front desk staff was very good and helpful.
The staff, the location Bathroom was a bit tight. Lack of decoration in room. Bed was a bit hard.
