Nice breakfast offered, not included in price of room. No transportation from airport when flight is delayed and gets into the airport after midnight. Only taxis at a cost.
Located across from Heathrow property with free shuttle (city bus) to the hotel front door. Quiet comfortable bedroom. Great breakfast ($15). Good service. Not very close to local restaurants. 20 minute (easy) walk to closest pub (The White Horse). Cannot exchange currency at hotel. ATM located in convenience store 10 minutes away.
Comfortable bed, quiet, complimentary drink on arrival. No coffee maker.
First off I couldn't book the room through the hotel. I was forced to book with third party online. My bathroom had flooded when I had taken a shower, due to the shower threshold. I had upgraded my room simply just looking for a king bed. The only room available was a sweet which had cost me 275.00 pounds. They only compensated me 50 pounds for a soak and wet bathroom that I had to mop up with all the towels in the room.
Close to the international airport with easy access to cheap shuttle bus service. Rooms were clean and heating/cooling easily adjusted. Staff were friendly and good with children. A good menu for kids. Rooms are very small, even for overnight stay. There is no lift so luggage must be carried up two flights of stairs which is back breaking if your traveling overseas with a large load. They claim to be 4 star which is a bit of a joke... More like 2 1/2 to 3 mainly due to the fact it is dated (looking worn), lack of lifts to upper levels and lacking 4 star facilities. WiFi was a bit dear. Most places in this pricerange where we stayed offered free WiFi.
Close to the airport. Elegant in its own way. The rooms are a bit small.
Close to the airport The rooms was far too hot.
Reasonably priced, comfortable, very close to Heathrow No complaints, would stay again.
The concierge staff were very helpful and friendly, but something need to be done for the check in and check out front liners. We checked in on 25 \nov 2010, arriving about 10 pm plus from Paris enroute to scotland, the check I staff was not very friendly. We checkd out early morning on 26 nov 2010, the check out staff was also not friendly. A simple eye contact would have been helpful for the hotel management.
The food was great, and the service terrific too. Doors a bit scratched up.
Slick check in, very clean and comfortable
the strict minimum!! 14 GBP for wifi
close to the airport for our departure home the next day cost means to make our own coffee and tea mini refrigerator nice sized bathroom had to walk along way down a hallway to access an elevator to the 2nd floor and then had to walk back down another long hallway there was urine in the toilet in our "clean" hotel room and the TV was all ready on - it left us wondering if our room had really been cleaned no extra pillows or blankets
Nothing decor very tired, noisy
Relatively clean I chose the hotel because of its supposedly superior pool and fitness room, but they closed right after I arrived. Why would an airport hotel close its facilities at night?
Location The hotel was very noisy and the housekeeping staff kept slamming doors keeping us up. In addition we asked a server about the menu and she rudely told us to ask someone else and walked off.
clean and comfortable
The convenient possision, the room was very quiet, no airport noice. The bar area not very acceptable for eating a light meal
Returning to the US from a European trip, we needed to transfer from London Gatwick to London Heathrow late at night, and then depart the next morning from London Heathrow. The Hilton Garden Inn was ideal. It is located close to Terminal 4, and gave us a good place to stay for the night. Staff are very helpful. I can't think of anything
Checkin was quick. Food at the bar was good (see also what I did not like) I picked the hotel because of the name, I stayed in excellent Jury's Inss before, also because it was (said to be) close to the underground & heathrow, Only at the exit there was no indication where the hotel was located, and the hotel was not visible. So I had to ask around, before finding the hotel. It was a bit farther away than described. At check-in they told me the restaurant would be open until 22h30, and gave me a key-card for my room that did not work. When coming back down to the restaurant I was told it closed early, so I had to go to the (overflowing) bar, and had to wait to get a seat. My room was close the the elevators, and poorly insulated, and I heard the elevators moving up and down, and stopping at my floor all night.
location for airport
The Staff were friendly and very helpful. Food is great at reasonable prices, everything looks smart and well organised. it is right next to the tube station which was convenient. The rates are low and you get much more than you expected for this sort of price. the breakfast was great and plenty of choice. Basically I would use this hotel again if I am in the area – very pleasant stay.
More for convenience,as I have to catch early flight. Proximity to the tube is the other plus points. none
My wife needed to see a GP and they quickly called one out for us. They were very helpful.
Very convenient, great location to airport
Brand new, lovely hotel and a superb Garden Inn. Comfortable and crispy clean. Nice staff at the bar and check in. Easy access from Hatton Cross Tube stop. Read a review that transportation was bad and have to agree. Expensive at GBP 4:50 each. Worse yet was the SURLY, RUDE, UNHELPFUL CRETIN that drove the bus. Awful.
The bed was inviting and clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was lovely! I didn't have a computer with me so was grateful I could come in free of charge to write an email. There was nothing I didn't like.
Executive lounge small room.
Staff attention to detail, quality of room and location
Location This hotel is old and not very clean. I am surprised that Marriott has let this hotel go this far in dis-repair. Not worth 200 USD a night.
Comfortable room and fast internet and ease of taking the public bus system 5 minutes to the terminal cannot be beat. Hair in the bathroom and in the tea cup suggested it did not get cleaned well, and about a 45" wait to get checked in made the stay less than ideal. Both are probably one-off issues though based upon reviews available.
Location Service in the restaurant was very efficient and friendly We were not informed that the hotel is going through a TOTAL renovation. We were initially placed in a recently finished room. After a real ordeal to get there, we found out that our room reeked of chemicals (gave us a headache within 5 minutes and watery eyes), still had some construction debris and the bathroom door handle was not installed. Had to carry all our luggage back and had to be moved to a different room.
Quite up to date Small room
Room is Comfortable and modern. Lobby and pub/bar very spacious and comfortable. Endless corridors and small rooms for such a huge hotel.
Location, lounge 1.the hotel could not find my kayak reservation so I am Not sure that I paid the kayak rate, in fact there is a good chance but I was charged twice and I'll have to find some way to reconcile this. For some reason the kayak reservations were not acceptable for their confirmation numbering system, the staff acted like they never seen a kayak reservation. 2.none of the hotel had internet access whatsoever it was down all night. Only one staff was manning the concierge desk and with the internet down the line was very long, yet it seems like the staff didn't put 2&2 together....perhaps you should increase the number of people at the concierge desk when the internet is down. At times the concierge would just just disappear I think probably hoping people would just disappear as well. Myself and another guest helped ourselves to the concierge desk computer print out our boarding passes for flights. 3. the entire hotel smelled like smoke despite the non smoking room. 4. the television didn't work in the hotel room and looked quite dated even at the kayak rated this hotel is not worth the money
Location State of repair/decor. Food---terrible !!! Seemed cheap for a Marriott --now understand why.
Close to airport, clean and upgraded rooms. Dinner was very good and the breakfast buffet was great.
Big lounge, helpful front desk service. Discounted pricing relative to other hotels in the area. Outside decor and current renovations give very poor first impressions. Room was typ Marriott-type accommodations. I'd recommend spending the extra $10+ to stay elsewhere if possible, but would consider again at same price range when renovations are complete.
What a great location. As a weary traveler it's nice when everything goes smoothly. Staff was very accommodating .
The staff in reception is really rough, especially some guy from indian or middle east, ask the staff to let me join the novotel club for 3 times, but he did not anything and lie to me.
The staff were very good. Public areas ofthe hotel a bit tatty but the rooms excelent.
The food at the restaurant was excellent - a fantastic meal.
clean, modern and comfortable
Good service and a decent room. Free wifi. Overall, I was there for 2 days before I left England so it served its purpose. Check in was supposed to be at 2 pm. I got there around 3:30 and still had to wait about 15 minutes before getting my key.
Convenient for our touring itinery.
Location of hotel, which allowed quiet ambient atmosphere during the short stay
Comfortable, clean hotel. No real complaint about the hotel itself but it could be better signposted from heathrow/M4 and the junction
Location adjacent to M4 -good for connection to London but tube connection better than bus routes. High taxi fares in the locality because of this High taxi fares-charged £28 for 7 mile trip.
It was totally fine for an overnight stay at an airport hotel. The pull out couch was actually more comfortable than the beds themselves. The air-con did not work in our room and they gave us a small fan to rectify the situation. The front desk staff was also very helpful on the phone, but never followed through with the requests we made.
Extremely polite and service-oriented staff. Convenient location. Good value. Flexibility in accomodating a family of four in one room, a rarity in Europe.
The staff were polite, helpful, and unobtrusive. Also they were well turned out. The evening meal could have been better, however the full breakfast was excellent
The location is superb, Stroks restaurent was fabulous, couldn't fault the hotel at all
The location is stunning, right on the Thames at the bridge that links Eton and Windsor. The staff were friendly and attentive. The facility is a little worn, but it's an historic hotel and we didn't mind.
The position of the hotel in Windsor and ease of getting everywhere
Location Superb The pressure in the shower was the only fault. Otherwise it was perfect
cleanliness of the rooms and cooperative staff. Car Parking facilities or should I say lack of them.
Room of adequate size for a single. Comfortable chair. Poor level of lighting for reading. Couldn't turn down radiator so needed to keep fan on all night!
The location is perfect for central windsir;everytrhing is within easy walking distance.
nook rooms across the road fom the reception are very nice...ask when you reserve! breakfast could be better...
The curteous & helpfull staff.
the staff was very helpfull the room was excellent they should had place like a balcony or something for people who are smokers
The room was spacious and well appointed Vegetarian selection was limited
The Oakley is incredible! The room was the perfect style to match the hotel, the bed was very comfortable, and the sandwiches are amazing! It is beautiful to walk around the property both at night and during the day. The whole hotel is gorgeous! I can't find anything bad about this place!
The staff they were very friendy and efficient. We requsted breakfast for 04:00 and this was no issue. Bar and restaurant staff were also excellent. No everything was very good
fantastic building with unique history in lovely surroundings would have been nice if the room had been heated prior to our check in as it was freezing and explain how it worked
Excellent quality in a beautiful setting with very good facilities.
location, excellent for windsor horse show.
emptying bottle bins at 6.30am!
The environment is excellent
The view of the river from the room, and being able to check in a little early
Amazing building with lots of history, we had no idea over 200 movies had been filmed there! Also, we hadn't realised the famous village of Bray was five minutes away, worth a mention on your website. Fabulous location right on the banks of the River Thames.
The grounds Did not like the Beauty Salon, Booked my wife for a 40 min massage on her Wedding Anniversery and only got 20 mins. Absolute rip off.
the location was excellent for everything we wanted to do and see in Windsor and the view from our four poster bed was amazing we looked straight out to the castle lack of staff on reception for checking in and out
Proximity to the Castle was excellent. Being situated in the High Street was a bonus, especially for the complimentary car parking and access to the shopping area Our room was situated in the top floor of the annex with no elevator, which was an inconvenience, but the staff were there to pick up and deliver any heavy cases.
Rooms were excellent. Comfy bed and lovely soft feather pillows. No faults at all. The location was great, close to station, Castle and shops Breakfast for the money was pretty poor, in as much as quality, although plenty of choice.
Thought the room was big and comftable Staff did not speak good english
free upgrade! still not enough sound-proofing from flightpath
room and breakfast
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Location excellent for our trip to legoland as shuttle bus to legoland directly across the road. I found at evening time and early morning the noise of aircrafts flying overhead quite annoying. But would probarly be the same at any other hotel in windsor.
It was central to tha area where I wanted to be.
excellent room and bathroom and well situated hotel in the heart of windsor with easy parking being a great bonus. overpriced hotel bar tarnished our evening as prices were a third higher than nearby bars and restaurants.
Friendly efficient service. Central position in the town. Good breakfast service. Over heated. Needed to use the room air conditioning to counter this which was a waste of energy. Could not open the window because it was too noisy at night - a minor grip about a very enjoyable stay.
Great Location (across the street from Windsor Castle). Polite & helpful staff.
overall an excellent hotel and very helpful staff made our stay very enjoyable. great location close to Windsor Castle
The hotel was excellently situated and well appointed The bed was too small and the breakfast expensive
Excellent hotel, very well placed directly opposite the Castle. Staff very polite and friendly, modern room very comfortable
We requested non-smoking and breakfast, but it didn't arrange. We waited many time for check-in and check-out.
The room was clean and spacious. Check in staff was unwelcoming. Almost was given a smoking room until I complained. Breakfast was expensive and did not live up to the price. The location is far away from the airport and suited to business travelers. Will not book a room at this hotel again.
Early check in after a long haul flight was not possible
Clezan, mostly quite quiet, ideally located for Heathrow / m25 For the second time in succession it took nearly an hour to check in as the Active Hotels Booking had not been received by the hotel. Required phonce calls to Active Hotels to resolve. Not what you need at 7pm at night after a long flight etc etc.
Plenty of facilities; restaurants, gym, spa and shop. However we chose the hotel for its locationa nd the shuttle service. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Thought the internet was poorly priced, i.e. too expensive.
It was equiped with a very nice staff no breakfast deal in a quite handsome amount of money
Very nice hotel, and served my purpose well as an overnight stay to be close to Heathrow for an early morning flight back to the States.Nice and quiet, even though it is so close to Heathrow. Don't know who's fault, but when I arrived, hotel had no record of my reservation. a little scarey, as I was being dropped off by my parents, after a 5 hour drive from South Wales, before my flight the next day, back to the us. After probably 15 minutes, the receptionist made a new reservation, and all was well. The other thing that was not good, was that I did not get my 6am wake up call, which could've made for a bad situation, as I was catching a plane! Also, it was not easy to get to off the M4...got lost and ended up on the m25!!
The assistance of your staff.Did not like being charged £9.00 for taxi to Terminal one as I thought £4.00 was figure mentioned by your staff.Patrick Madden.
Had to wait for check in, had no record of room with breakfast booked over the internet but found booking was in first name. good job I printer copy to show.
Hotel staff generally good. Room ok, but sink drain a bit slow! Hotel could not find my booking on the system at all - I.E. no record of the Active Hotels booking. So check-in took nearly 20 minutes whilst we sorted out a new booking.
Proximity to Heathrow airport. Quiet. Brilliant breakfast.
The room was large, comfortable, and well apportioned in terms of what it contained (TVs, tea and coffee amenities, iron, etc). The convenience to the airport is stellar, and the amenities within the hotel (bars, restaurants, gym) are good. Staff was very friendly. The room was weird. There weren't any outlets near the bed, which doesn't make any sense because it meant there wasn't an alarm clock and also you couldn't plug your phone in by the bed to be an alarm clock. Also, not having a free shuttle to the airport seems usurious.
This is boutique quality hotel with new amenities, at an amazingly low price. They do this, by offering small, but very nice, rooms with single beds. Its about a 10-12 min walk from the Hounslow East Metro station (4 stops from Heathrow), which isn't actually that bad. Fare is 1.5£, taxi is 20£ or so. (Turn right when you exit Hounslow East.)
Proximity to Ascot races The size of the bedroom.. very small for 2 people. Also the bathroom did not have a bath.
Friendly, attentive staff, who had local knowledge.A welcoming bar, with a good range of quality bar meals to support the restaurant.
Very friendly staff They did not give me the executive double room that I booed. Finally they charged me less as a normal double room
Wow it was a fantastic hotel and such value.
Peaceful surroundings, good old fashioned service
staff and decor and spa very noisy.
Spa and pool facilities were excellent. Good breakfast. Nice location. We booked two executive rooms. One was very nice but the other was disappointing and in need of a makeover.
the beautiful location, the general ambiance of the hotel and the lovely breakast, also the convenience of easy parking the room was rather small and dark
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is out of the way but castle can be easly reached by car. We like to walk so walked to castle which took about two hours.Breakfast was nice.
Hotel was of poor standard and looked nothing like it did on the website. the room was dirty and the food far to expensive. Hotel staff had very poor understanding of English or they just didnt want to know. the way out
The size of the room and the Hotel's location poor service at the restaurants
excellent facilities. main restaurant closed. drink and mini bar prices too high
The bed was very comfortable and the room in general was very spacious. Staff were courteous and professional and the choice at breakfast was impressive. The corridors are a bit like a 'rabbit warren' and difficult to locate room.Television required better instructions on simply being able to watch basic channels (button 1 didn't give you BBC1 etc).
Location and friendly staff Cleanliness
the room very comfortable....near airport. dining a little pricey..but breakfast buffet very good
Easy to find, very good parking deal and helpful and very efficient staff. Room very quiet considering its proximity to Heathrow.
nice room, very comfortable. cheerful and friendly staff. Willing to help. Quite nice swimming pool. Starbucks in the hotel My room was beside a stairwell leading to the carpark and it was left open often. shame the starbucks wasn't 24h
Had an unexpected layover at LHR. Hotel was convenient to airport. Kind staff, was upgraded to a Club floor room. Room was nice, clean, and comfy.
Relaxed atmosphere, good food and efficient staff. The excellent poolside atrium closed at 10 p.m. -- a pity because it was a very pleasant place to sit and relax after dinner.
First class all the way Limited menu selectin in the sports bar
Friendly personal service No on site car parking. Car park a little way from b and b
Very friendly hosts, very close to centre of Windsor. A good base for a visit to Windsor. We found the lack of bathroom door to the en-suite a little off-putting, especially as the toilet faced the room door. The room was very clean, however the odour of bleach was slightly overwhelming.
nice welcome and advise re parking, which is little difficult on this street. good location just off the M4 link road, an a 10 min walk to the town centre. Some nice pus nearby as well limited room for breakfast if yo all rive at the same time, but not really a problem as such unless you are in a hurry ! Good breakfast though
Wonderfull stay - steve and dee lovely and a comfortable bed, en-suite in a clean well furnished room. Breakfast amazing too! Thank you also for understanding about my late arrival due to weather :) Arrived late and local parking quite difficult. However possible.
Owner of b and b 'Dee' -warm, friendly, generous. Room spotless and homely. Breakfast- delicious and plentiful. Slightly impratical not to have a door on ensuite especially for when you need a number 2! Car park a little walk away and a little added cost.
Very welcoming host, value for money. Great room size and facilities only lacking an Iron. Definitely be stopping there again as location is ideal for Windsor attractions.
Very Friendly place & Ideally located close to Windsor's main tourist attractions. No Parking Facilities.
The good points are summarized above and there is nothing to add. The room was extremely cramped and was barely suitable for a double bed. Worse, the wc and bathroom were separate, with no hygiene facilities in the former. The room had no window, relying on “borrowed light” from the wc and bathroom. The bathroom had no door. The wc door was glazed, with attendant lack of privacy, and was located just a few inches from the bed.
Booking: - I didn't like to leave details of my credit card, although they were not required for payment. - It would be helpful if customers could use special criteria like "Creditcards exepted", "parking included" in their queries Value for money: Generally everything in the uk is more expensive as abroad. So the best possible vote is "fair".
Unobtrusive management BIt pricey
friendly and helpful staff and very close to town centre mattress too soft
Nice 'n' Very Big Room., Owner is veryyyyy courtesy and nice. The hotel is so convenience in parking and free. Breakfast is fine. Not a lot of various breakfast menu but you could tell them to managed it for you.
Very comfortable and pleasant stay
Friendly owners made us very welcome. Excellent breakfasts. Kitchen and tea making facilities available. 5 minutes from town centre and station.
Hotel staff were friendly also the breakfast and evening buffet vwas excellent none
Room and ameneties Wanted to extend my stay but hotel fully booked
The hotel staff is very friendly, helpfull and professional. The Lock restaurant is excellent: we had a very good dinner.
Lovely service, great food, nice location to the river Make sure you get the right room. Our first room was very are very small and bed wasn't too good but the second room was lovely
Breakfast excellent Room was poorly soundproofed to corridor and noisy inside - a/c or pipework
Lovely setting, very attentive staff, Excellent breakfast Rooms rather small.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was quiet despite being located across the street from the hotel. n/a
Cleanliness of room N/A
Location is close to the airport and very nice inside. Did not try the restaurant as there is a really nice pub just around the corner. Better value for the money and the food is good. A la carte pricing for everything. Feel like they will nickel and dime you if you are not paying attention.
The Execuitve Lounge was very small and uncomfortable and certainly not worth paying for an upgrade to get use of it.
Overnight stay at Heathrow, prior ot flight
Convenient to airport. Shuttle bus is GBP 8 per person. If 2 people that's GBP 16. Taxi is GBP 18 - go by taxi! Hotel has a pretty good restaurant. Room upgrade is not worth it - rooms are the same as regular (having stayed before in many rooms here). Good gym and pool. Only 1 computer station in the exec lounge. Should have at least 2. Lots of times had to wait >30 minutes.
Family room was offered hence we could stay in the one room as a family. Price of the restaurant
Close to the airport, quiet, well cooked breakfast, excellent Italian restaurant far too expensive for a transit hotel, no warmth, bereft of human kindness in architecture and facilities, matress well worn, so poor nights sleep before travelling, need a second mortgage to buy food and especially drink
I thought the reception into the hotel was excellent, the staff were very helpful and polite. The room was well appointed, comfortable and very clean.
The location, the services. And we really like the casual coziness of the Barhemia lounge and cafe. We always enjoy relaxing there, watching tv with food and drinks.
We only had a overnight stay in the heathrow Marriott so none of the above catagories apply, Nevertheless our short stay was very comfortable, and I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel
