Pros: The staff anticipated our every need. They thought of everything down to the smallest details. Outstanding service and truly a memorable stay.
Cons: It was all perfect.
Pros: Excellent service, great location, wonderful beach, lovely lap pool, great food
Pros: Fabulous location a bit too close to the beautiful shops for my husbands liking I had a ball in the sales! Breakfast wonderful and the staff are so professional and friendly we just love it and will return again and again if we can.
Cons: What is there not to like?
Pros: We could not fault the Sandpiper. The staff are amazing, and will do anything to help. The room and bed really comfortable, and the food sublime. We will definitly be visiting again and thoroughly recommend it. Small, intimate and very friendly.
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel provided for all our needs and is in a lovely location directly on the beach. The hotel food was excellent and plentiful. We hope to return before too long, in line with many other guests there.
Cons: Nothing to report.
Pros: The hotel is very well maintained.Gardens are nice, beach place is great as there are enough of beach chairs for everybody and the hotel provides beach service such as water and sorbet.Restaurant and beach bar offer high quality food.We are usually critical but we were really happy here and there was nothing to complain about
Cons: We really could not find anything to complain about. There is not TV in the room but we did not mind
Pros: Everything! Simply fabulous
Cons: Nothing. Amazing place. fabulous facilities. First class service.
Pros: Very nice people, lovely beach and pools, excellent food and Service. We were there at end of their season so not full making our stay more Pleasant.
Cons: Food in Barbados is expensive.
Pros: Hotel. Staff.food.beach. perfect staff lovely cant do enough for you but we appreciated all of it.
Cons: Stuck up guests. To stuck own backsides to say thank you to staff.
Pros: Staff is extraordinary, very polite, warm and genuine. The hotel property is exquisite with all the amenities you need. And hotel offer free SUP, sailing and snorkeling. I'll definitely be back!

Pros: Great location! Easy access to holetown via bus or walking (30 min). Fish market stand right across from hotel. Beach is 2 min walk from hotel. Staff are quite helpful! The security guard was very nice- friendly and helpful! Very comfortable and clean in the living unit! Very eco-friendly with the air conditioning unit! Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Barbados!
Cons: It would be nice to have a larger balcony!
Pros: The hotel was quite new and very clean. Staff members are helpful. Great service - We didn't even need to do an official check in at the reception, everything was ready when we arrived.
Pros: Clean, friendly people, quite to relax, the nature to enjoy, it was a wonderful stay.
Pros: (2 adults 2 kids) we loved the place and truly recommend, if you are searching for what we have found: - three pools - very friendly and helpful staff (from cleaning staff, to security staff to gardener and all others) - clean and well maintained facilities. Daily room cleaning. Fully equipped kitchen. Big rooms. Good sleeping. - welcome drinks at the breathtaking private house of the hotel’s owners every Thursday - beach across the road, which you can walk at low tide to Sandy Lane Beach - rental cars available on the property, very easy, convenient as no need to bother to return car after excursion - very good restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - Mike and his family are great hosts and the food is delicious - perfect for a dinner at the pool while kids can enjoy the pool. Two special dinners served (Italian Night and BBQ night) - the Cliff Restaurant just across the street - bus stop in front of hotel to jump on yellow bus south to Bridgetown or north to Holetown/Speightstown - fish market on the beach if you fancy fresh fish and vegetables/eggs to cook on your own in the apartment - WiFi in apartment and next to pools - and more...
Pros: The suites were beautifully laid out. We were on the first floor and the pool was our backyard. The food was delicious. They have beach chairs and umbrellas for guest to use free of charge. Beautiful beach was right across the street.
Cons: The early morning housekeeping. Make sure to put the do not disturb sign on the door unless you like 8am door banging. Shuttle to take you to Holetown only at 10 or 10:45 am which was fine for us but they didn't inform us you will need to find your way back on your own until we inquired about pick up.
Pros: Great view over the ocean. Close to Holetown. Rooms are large and well equipped.
Cons: Very noisy - other reviews have complained about the main road but in my experience the partying that goes on and roosters (starting at 3 every morning) from the neighbours makes for one not getting much sleep.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
Cons: Didn’t like entrance to property. Not clearly defined or marked. Short
9.5 Excellent (65 reviews)
With a stay at Little Arches Boutique Hotel Barbados - Adults only in Oistins, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Miami Beach and a 4-minute drive from Silver Sands Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: From the moment we arrived, Sandra, Michelle and staff made us feel like family. We enjoyed every single second at Little Arches and are already planning our next trip back. The sea view room with our own private pool was heavenly, and the food at Cafe Luna was delicious. We have never met such friendly staff, I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat! x
Cons: Nothing. We loved everything (but the rum punch welcome drink was a clear winner)
Pros: Great staff, very helpfull. Room was very clean and stylish. The Luna restaurant is very good. Short walk to the beach and to town. Many resturants nearby.
Cons: Can not think of a single things.
Pros: The staff at Little Arches is absolutely amazing! I have never felt more welcome at a hotel than I did here. I was celebrating a special birthday so I received a room upgrade, a small gift and they decorated my room while I was out at my birthday dinner! They couldn't be more helpful. I didn't have to lift a finger while I was there. The food at the restaurant was really fabulous too.
Cons: The only downside of Little Arches for me was that there weren't other restaurants within walking distance. However, the St. Lawrence Gap area is just a 10 minute cab ride away.
Pros: Lovely property, great location near the beach and Oisitins, fab food and the most fantastic staff. We could not have wished for a more perfect wedding and holiday!
Pros: Great location for a tranquil stay. Just a few steps to the beautiful beach. The Hotel set up sunbeds and Parasols on the beach each day and can organize a drinks cooler which was ideal as the beach food/drinks van wasn`t operating when we visited. The Restaurant located at the Hotel has a fabulous setting and the food was excellent.
Cons: Minor point but the courtesy room would benefit from AC
Pros: the staff was super friendly. quiet neighborhood. well kept place.
Pros: Room is spacious and beautifully appointed. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is wonderful. Two sinks is a lovely arrangement.
When you stay at The House by Elegant Hotels - Adults Only in Paynes Bay, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Paynes Bay Beach and 14 minutes by foot from Sandy Lane Beach. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, limo/town car service, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The staff could not have been more accommodating, the location is perfect and our fellow guests all seemed to be totally chilled out. We loved it.
Cons: The restaurant facilities concentrate on high end catering but there are enough options close by that it was not a problem.
Pros: Great breakfasts with champagne flowing for the whole time.....
Cons: Underwhelming reception for a returning guest...
Pros: The location and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The friendly staff and the way you are made to feel special.
Pros: Chilled out hotel with 1sr class staff
Cons: Nothing to dislike
When you stay at Coral Reef Club in Holetown, you'll be on the beach, within a 5-minute drive of Sandy Lane Beach and Paynes Bay Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: An extremely well run hotel with exceptional facilities and staff, and one of the highlights are the beautiful well kept gardens which are fantastic.
Cons: I was under the impression that the yoga class was one of the facilities that was included in the hotel price, I had checked it in the book of instructions in my room and NO mention was made of any charge, but when I turned up I was asked to pay $45 BBD on my room bill.
Pros: The staff were the friendliest waiters and bar staff and pool/beach attendants that I've experienced anywhere. Most of them seemed genuinely happy and wanted people to have a good time. They were smiley and attentive, and always happy to help.
Cons: We liked everything about the Coral Reef Club. This is our second time staying at the property and we find it relaxed atmosphere. The food in the restaurant is delicious such as the fish daily specials and the salads. The evening meal was as good if not better than any of the other recommended restaurants we tried in the area. The kids enjoyed the buffet in the evening. The sandpiper food was also very good - especially the curry. Lovely beach.
Pros: The staff are so friendly and happy. There is a wonderful atmosphere in the hotel. It is like a big family. The O Haras are doing a wonderful job. It’s one of my favourite places in the world and I travel a lot.
Cons: Nothing to not like ! Everything was perfect.
Pros: Room upgrade without asking and allowed check-in as soon as room was ready and to use the facilities before that.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were nicer than expected. The grounds are excellently maintained and full of a huge variety of beautiful flowers and plants. Service was excellent. Owners are very present and make sure everything is tip top. Non-motorize water sports are including in the price of the resort which is really nice. I highly recommend a guided hobby cat tour. Food was some of the best we had in the Caribbean. Definitely make the BBQ night if you can - Thursdays. Overall an excellent experience. We will be back.
Cons: This is not the hotel's fault but my only complaint is that local taxis seem to take advantage of tourists and charge 25 - 50% more than published rates to take you from one place to another. Also, taxi fee to return to the airport on departure was literally double the arrival fee.
Pros: Good choice of quality food, great staff.Well maintained beautiful gardens. Cold drinking water dispensers dotted around property. Complimentary mid morning flavoured sorbet served on beach. Good wifi in rooms. Evening music in restaurant.
Cons: Noisy service trollies with solid wheels, pneumatic tyres would be better.
Pros: The hotel grounds were beautifully kept, the facilities were all of a very high quality, the service was exemplary and there was always lots of space for peace and tranquility if wanted! Overall, one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at.
Cons: hotel is very quiet which is great if that's what you want from your holiday. As most of the occupants were couples with an average age well over 50 the vibe works well!
Pros: Plantation Suite great. Breakfast great. Location great. Restaurant food excellent but a little limited. Staff wonderful. Beach amazing. Beach service brilliant. Bar very well stocked. A little old school, but overall highly recommended.
Cons: Only issue is age of gym equipment and ancient barely functional AC in the fitness centre. Plunge pool could have done with a clean. Bar in room needed better stocking and facilities. Beer not really cold enough at the bar.
Pros: Breakfast was good!
Cons: Our room has had a toaster which was useless since there was no bread. We wish we had a coffee maker instead. (with coffee bags included, of course:).
When you stay at Hopeville Apartments in Charnocks, you'll be in the business district, within a 10-minute drive of Crane Beach and Silver Sands Beach. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It was very nice in all ways very well aquiped. Very clean nice neighbours. Just the location but that’s not the fault of the property. It’s just next time we would prefer somewhere closer to the beach.
Pros: Very clean and cozy house. A home away from home
Cons: Not walking distance to the beach, but minor issue.
Pros: The apartment was well appointed, clean and tidy; I was able to get a good night's sleep. Heather was very helpful as host and Chris provided airport pick up and transportation services during my stay.
Cons: The apartment is located in a residential area within 15 minutes walking distance of the airport. Closest place I found to buy food was at the airport itself.
Pros: The place is just awesome... talk about relaxation... the apartment has everything you could warm, all it needs is a pool but who need a pool when you have the beach couple minutes away.
Cons: That there were no room service.
Pros: Everything. Host heather was above and beyond. Even gave us gifts for the Easter. What more can one ask for?
Pros: Great to be close to the Airport, you can actually walk there. There are buses you can take to get into Bridgetown. It was very clean, peaceful and quiet. Get for couples who don't want to spend a whole lot of money to be close to the beaches.
Cons: Couldn't find a place to deliver food. Taxi service needed or bus service needed to get closer to everything.
Pros: Proximity to air port
Cons: There was kitchen ware but not enough. Needs more pots maybe a rice strainer.
Pros: The place was immaculately clean, fully equipped with everything you would need for both leisure and business. The location was spot on, very close to public transportation and also right next to the airport, less than 10 minute walk. A very quiet location as well. Simply perfect.
Cons: There was not much not to like. It is apparent the owners thought of all comforts . But I would have liked the option for a warm blanket or comforter as part of my bedding options. The bedroom can get quite cold and there is no blanket to help stay warm.
Pros: We were provided with a few breakfast items as well as laundry detergent. Host was exceptional
Pros: There were so many things that I loved about the place, from all the rooms to the hospitality of the host. It was really nice to get complimentary groceries.
Cons: Nothing!!! I loved everything
When you stay at Bougainvillea Barbados in Maxwell, you'll be on the beach, within a 5-minute drive of St. Lawrence Bay and Miami Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and laundry facilities. Planning an event in Maxwell? This resort has 814 square feet (76 square meters) of space consisting of conference space and a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff was friendly, attentive and gracious. Rooms were spacious and clean. Love we had a microwave and refrigerator in room.
Cons: The beach waves were rough and rocky seabed. Wish they had more night entertainments at the hotel. No elevator but stairs were not bad. Needed more varieties on menu.
Pros: I loved the breakfast! It had a great variety and it was on the beach. Hearing and seeing the ocean was lovely.
Cons: Consistent ice water would have been great.
Pros: Love the friendly hotel and restaurant staff.
Cons: Definitely need elevators as I was on the 4th floor and had to climb 48 stairs each time! Cable did not work and gave fire stick and that didn’t work either. TV kept going out and repeating the same words which was annoying . Had to give me a cell phone as room phone did not work. Could use an update to the rooms such as tiles on floors in tub, bathroom and all rooms.
Pros: The hotel is beachfront, nicely laid out, comfy, clean.
Cons: It does not protect the guests from taxi overcharging - the only country I've been to (and I've been to many) where taxi fare from the airport to the hotel is cheaper than from the hotel to the airport!! Taxi overall is expensive, and there are no cheaper alternatives for families. Ocean waves were all the time too choppy to swim. Hotel could use renovation.
Pros: Facility was clean and the staffs were friendly, always willing to assist.
Cons: Breakfast. My toast was burned and I asked for medium cooked eggs but got something before over easy. Totally uncooked.
Pros: Very clean rooms, comfortable, nice terrace with a nice view.
Cons: A lot of seaweed on the beach, no breakfast included.
Pros: It room was extremely well furnished. Impeccable bathrooms.
Cons: Personally: cats around the property.
Pros: Staff attitude was very professional and accommodating. Service in every department was excellent. Location of our room (4th floor no elevator) was challenging at times. Mother Nature did not cooperate with rough ocean that made our beach adventures difficult. First time that we visit the island of Barbados and we hope we can come back next year again!
Cons: Location of our room(4th floor).
Pros: Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Good location, 5 minutes drive to St Lawrence Gap, etc. Amenities such as gym were very good. Great pool area and a step away from Maxwell beach.
Cons: Wi-Fi connectivity wasn't good in our room and kept on fluctuating and disconnecting. No complimentary tea / coffee in the rooms.
Pros: Great location. Staff and everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Clean hotel and facilities.
Cons: The menu at the restaurant was limited and nothing to write home about.
Pros: The resort was beautiful and in an excellent location! Gorgeous flowers! Two lovely pools and steps away from a beautiful sandy beach. It was extremely well maintained and had all the amenities we needed with a full kitchen. We loved sitting on our balcony and having breakfast or lunch and listening to the ocean and viewing the grounds. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Nightly music was nice to listen to either poolside or in the restaurant. We had a wonderful dinner in one of the restaurants and they provide take out if needed. A grill was on the property if you wanted to barbeque. Easy to walk to the bus stop to tour around or the hotel provides a shuttle on some days to the grocery store in town. A wonderful holiday!
Cons: It would have been nice if there were more kids activities available outside, such as table tennis. There was a very nice kids room but it was in the basement of the resort, out of the way of the main activities. The little park across the street had a small play set and the highlight was the tortoise and the hare living there! Maybe you could offer a kids movie under the stars one night?
Boasting the ultimate location on the Platinum coast of the island, Fairmont Royal Pavilion, is setting new standards of ultra-luxury in the Carribean and beyond, retaining a sense of serene seclusion with a unique beachfront position unlike any other resorts on the island. A multi-million dollar renovation at Fairmont Royal Pavilion has dramatically changed the hotel's guest rooms and raised the bar for luxury hospitality in Barbados.
Pros: average breakfast - nothing special. We get clean room as it i expected for extremely high price and 5 star hote
Cons: beach is not nice, restaurant is poor quality. It is shame that you are so overpriced. I compare you with Coral Reef Club where we stay 2 weeks over New Year and than we moved to your hotel where we expect much higher quality as we pay it significantly more expensive that Coral Reef Club where we had breakfast and dinner (and New Year dinner) included in price. You are only hotel who charged me 100% upfront payment.
Pros: Execelent service, good food, problem solvers, great facilities, one of the best hotels I've gone too in terms of service and commitment to the guest's experience. Will love to go back with my family. Very happy with our stay.
Pros: Fantastic view from room with wonderful sunsets. The room was quiet and comfortable.
Cons: The food was generally disappointing and expensive.
Pros: You can see that this hotel does all it can to meet your every need. We will be coming back to this hotel, this hotel has no faults.
Pros: Location and beach. Room renovation. Deck off room overlooking ocean. Property maturity and grace. The staff is not intrusive. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and the fruit and made to order eggs excellent. The concierge staff nice, but we had made our dinner reservations ahead of arrival. Had we not, there would have been trouble finding reservations. Many luxury resorts email guests prior to arrival with restaurant and attractions info offering to make arrangements in advance.
Cons: For the astronomic rates, including the ground floor room location surcharge, expectations of more amenities was disappointing, such as the absence of a stocked minibar in the room or complimentary drinks in rooms and beach. Many Caribbean resorts with similarly beautiful locations offer equal privacy with better attention to detail. The room mini fridge was empty throughout our stay and a note in the room apologized for it. However, after checking out, I noticed an additional room charge on my credit card. When I emailed the hotel I was told the charge was for mini-bar consumption! Clearly a human error, but one that is unacceptable for a resort of this kind. With a few notable exceptions, the staff was flat-affected and tired looking and the breakfast buffet understaffed. That is, service could be significantly more attentive. The main restaurants cannot be confused with prime dining. Our server was an itinerant young lady who was being bounced bounced between the two and openly confessed not to be familiar with the menu. Despite these constructive criticisms, we had a good time.
Pros: The food was all fresh, best I have ever eaten. The staff made us feel so at home. The grounds were surrounded by a tropical garden with tall palm trees. The place was impeccably clean. All restaurants and the bar were open air right beside the beach. We had a view of the beautiful Caribbean ocean the entire time. We will definitely stay there again when we return soon.
Cons: Nothing the best vacation I have ever had, and it was the first time that I travelled out of the United,States
Pros: It had a nice beach and our villa was very comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast room is very tired and needs a complete renovation.
Pros: The staff was friendly and always smiling.
Cons: Everything was lovely
Pros: Hotel location and renovated bedroom including balcony - direct beach view - the old and new Bajan Staff
Cons: Some of the changes being made have reduced the attraction to a number of regular guests - this includes stopping the Sunday BBQ, the new changes to the reception decore detract from the Colonial feel of the property and having breakfast in the Palm Restuarant rather than Tobaras Restauarant seems a backward step. In addition some of the furniture in the Palm Reatauarant is old and tired with rips in the leather - also the Managers Cocktail Party is not followed by the normal buffet which was well received by past guests. I feel that the new owners of the Fairmont albeit having spent millions on the room renovations (which are lovely) are reducing the appeal of a Bajan favourite by increasing room rates after December 2018 but at the same time taking away some of the Bajan feel (including the complimentary afternoon tea to 1 complimentary within 7 day stay) The Bajan staff continue to be lovely and a joy to guests old and new but the German Accor Hotels Management in situ (a German Lady) seems to be making changes for changes sake which is a backward step to many guests of long standing
Pros: The rooms were EXTREMELY clean which is my top priority when choosing a hotel. They were very modern and upscale especially the bathroom with the push bottom rain shower and the bedroom with the cedar closets and the remote controlled air conditioning unit.
Cons: My only cons were that one of our two rooms was not ready on time but one was so we stayed there until the other was ready. They gave us a small bottle of champagne for our inconvenience. The other con was that that there were not enough restaurants on the property. The ones there had excellent food and perfect service but were very expensive. Spent over $200 USD for 4 of us per meal.
Pros: The beach is absolutely gorgeous! The rooms have great views and are very nicely decorated and spacious. The link hotel looks beautiful against its turquoise beach background and surrounded by tropical flowers. Most people that work there are friendly (not all). Swimming with turtles and complimentary afternoon tea!
Cons: The menus could be updated with local cuisine. While the food is ok, the options are a little tired.
With a stay at Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels – Adults Only in Paynes Bay, you'll be just steps from Paynes Bay Beach and 10 minutes by foot from Sandy Lane Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Really helpful staff who were interested in our comfort and experience of the hotel. The location on the beach could not be better. Nice breakfasts. The complementary water taxi service between the other Elegant hotels was a great way to explore the west coast beaches.
Cons: Some minor aspects of the facilities need to be completed post refurbishment - e.g. a tap in one bathroom did not work. Hotel are aware and I’m sure they’ll sort this out soon.
Pros: Location/staff/food/new bedrooms. This hotel has recently been taken over by Elegant resorts and we went with some trepidation having stayed there many times before. The changes made have actually made it a more enjoyable holiday and we were very pleased to be there again.
Pros: Location good, breakfast good although limited selection at the buffet. Staff helpful.
Cons: Rooms are a bit tired, bathrooms and floors are dirty, staff seem to wipe over but never really give anything a proper clean. Toilet did not work despite mentioning it every day it was never properly fixed. Lunch and Dinner options are limited and the qaulity of the food is expensive and very poor.
Pros: Stuff is extraordinarily friendly and super well trained. Dinners at the restaurant were exquisite - kudos to evening chef Location is almost perfect. If one wanted to you could have a beach side walk (with a bit of adventures) to Holetown and this is a very nice little town for everyone to visit with lots of restaurants and bars Water sports selection at sister hotel tamarin Very secluded and intimate atmosphere
Cons: The room was not entirely clean.... there were not my hair on the shower wall and it didn’t look properly sanitized Continental Breakfast selection is definitely minuscule for a 5* hotel I don’t think the sheets were ever changed, not that I specifically wanted to, yet I thought a 5* hotel shall at least ask me... Swimming pool is small and fitness center NON-Existent, you can go to sister hotel nearby though. I also didn’t appreciate that the suit I booked was called “ocean view suit” while one can state that you can see something blue in distance behind Palma trees and huge tree in the middle of the landscape, one could not definitely call it Ocean view suit, as the major thing one can actually see was the swimming pool. I must confess that stuff offered an alternative in the far end of the building closer to ocean, yet how one was supposed to see ocean from there is not clear, as view restrictive bushes were separating the view. So advise to all who are booking: ask for 3rd floor rooms when you book with a view direction towards Holetown Lastly for the price per night in USD equivalent to Four Seasons, i’d say it is nowhere near in being even remotely comparable.
Pros: Breakfast & lunch salads extremely good. loved the fruit skewers & ice cream that came round the beach during the day. Staff extremely friendly & helpful
Cons: Tapas evening food was very expensive & very disappointing. Crab cakes were tasteless
Pros: Great location, wonderful and friendly staff... !!!
Cons: No... wonderful hotel, wonderful staff... could not fault it!
Pros: The hotel was beautiful, the pool and beach were amazing. The staff Lisa, Ross, Baker, Nikita, Rasheed, Rashid, Natalie, Akeshia (all the housekeeping staff and reception staff), Tyrone (security) couldn't have made this stay anymore fantastic than they did. Food gorgeous, attentive, clean, lovely rooms, comfy beds. It was fantastic.
Cons: There was nothing not to like no complaints at all.
Pros: Location and range of facilities. Staff service was universally excellent and friendly
Cons: Evening entertainment was very poor.
Pros: could see from maps it was a smallish site, and the W Coast can be a bit hectic. But the rooms are cleverly located, the adjacent beach is beautiful and not crowded and the pool is just fine. In the hotel the food is excellent, staff efficient and friendly, and our room was big and comfortable. Nice touches include a free afternoon ice cream and a punch later.
Cons: Nothing ! As always, trying to the correct air conditioner temperature is a bit tricky ( male v female!), but there is a ceiling fan which seemed a good compromise....
Pros: Location Friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast food & service average
Located in Diamond Valley, The Crane Resort is a 5-minute drive from Crane Beach and 8 minutes from Bottom Bay Beach. Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. This resort has 3 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I loved the view of the ocean from my room. There were some maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. The manager, he was very accommodating and allowed us to switch rooms. Overall, I thought it was an average hotel. Really need some updates.
Pros: Great location, impeccable service and on-site restaurants and grocery
Pros: The breakfast was excellent the staff was superb it was a fun time here. The pools the grounds are wonderful, a very relaxing environment
Cons: The only negative for me was getting my laundry done, laundry facilities should have been more accessible at a more reasonable cost.
Pros: Love The Crane! Our third year in a row that we have visited The Crane. Love the staff, the facility and the location. The beach is lovely and the waves are beautiful.
Cons: Lack total of service skills from the personnel. Borderline disrespectful.
Pros: The facilities were in excellent shape and the staff was great
Cons: Need a Shuttle service to supermarket.
Pros: Yummy food, large suites, beautiful beach and facilities.
Cons: It is a bit more remote.
Pros: The pools are nice and spacious. The buildings and gardens are beautiful and well-maintained. The view is spectacular. Our room (1-bedroom suite) includes a kitchenette, a dryer, a wash machine (it destroyed some of my clothes though), which makes it quite convenient.
Cons: For everything I asked for, e.g cotton buds, slippers, power adapter, bottled water, etc. they sent me to thier shop :( And by the way, we stayed in a "suite". The breakfast wasn't that bad (but certainly not great), but from this resort, I had expected much more. Things got broken constantly. Some got successfully fixed, some not, e.g. the a/c.
Pros: The grounds were beautiful. The security on site was good. All staff was helpful and friendly. We loved the 2/2 private residence with 13 ft private pool. Being a private residence, we assumed housekeeping would only be once a week when it was daily. The kitchen had everything— stand alone ice maker, nice coffee maker (looking to purchase one of these), blender, etc. The number of resort pools was awesome. Even though the water was not for swimming, jumping the waves was fun and jumping off the cliff into the water below was exciting. The restaurants on site were excellent. We dined at every one. We did not utilize room service which was something else you would not expect. The water tasted great, so need for bottled. Everything you would need is located on site.
Cons: The beach at the resort had a lot of seaweed and the water, too. The resort did not utilize its equipment to clean the beach area of seaweed. The area was not for swimming or relaxing in the water as the waves were too intense but we did not realize this when booking. The resort is not near anything, so either a rental car or taxi is needed to get around if you desire to leave property.
Pros: Staff were very kind and friendly and very helpful
Cons: That it wasn’t all inclusive
Cons: The location is good if you want to stay at the resort , not so good for getting around the island unless you want to drive or take taxis.
Nestled on the beach, this Hastings property is within a 10-minute walk of Windward Islands and Carlisle Bay. Brownes Beach and Rockley Beach are also within 1 mi (2 km).
Pros: The best location! All the staff were very very friendly. The food was great and I felt really looked after. Would recommend to anyone, I'm definitely coming back!
Pros: There are no words to describe how incredible all the staff here are! It is magical sitting eating delicious food everyday looking at the postcard-esque beach. Room extremely comfortable. We will miss it so much! Thank you Sugar Bay!
Pros: + friendly staff + wide options for dining - steakhouse was the best! + hammocks at the beach + evening Entertainment + you can use the beach and the area even after you check out. We really appreciated this since our flight was at 8 pm! :-) Since It was our last night in Barbados we wanted to make it special. And it was phenomenal!
Cons: - pool not for swimming - it is more for kids I'd say - walls too thin! You can here literally everything your neighbours saying. Their alarm clock woke me up at 5 am.
Pros: It was like a boutique hotel. Very clean and food was excellent!
Cons: Beach on south east side so water was rough in late afternoon.
Pros: Location and food
Cons: Air conditioning wasn’t work, we had to change room. New room in the first floor was smelling strange, annoying experience.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and well mannered. The food was great.
Cons: Some of the games like the Air Hockey and Fuseball Tables were not operational.
Pros: It’s a quaint hotel with character the food was fantastic even in the buffet restaurant and all the staff so polite and helpful One small improvement on the garden facing room would have been a fan on the balcony
Cons: No fan on the balcony
Pros: Comfortable beds excellent shower. Food OK. Reception staff very accomadating .
Cons: Pool has a maximum depth of 3'9" and that is only over about a third of its area. In fact it's a big paddling pool. Small pool is about the size of a large bath . Lovely beach but as soon as you enter the water the sea bed is full of large stones.
Pros: The staff were excellent and always willing to assist and meet your needs.
Cons: A shuttle service would have been a bonus.
Pros: The staff was so friendly. The food was amazing as well as the drinks from the bar! We slept great because the bed was so comfortable and they had black out curtains
Cons: Having to leave
Pros: The room appeared to be recently remodeled. We had the last room oceanfront top floor (3rd) room, furthest from the bar and restaurant. I don't think that we could have a better room. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern and clean. All of the staff was terrific and friendly, but there were a few standouts (Shamia - Can do wonders with the limited options beyond Rum, Cheryl Ann- Ready to make your dining experience effortless and Darian on the beach at the right time with just the right drink!)
Cons: I would have appreciated knowing that the parliament building and its museum were closed on Tuesday. The shuttle to Bridgetown was offered by the hotel on Tuesday and Thursday, but no indication that the only thing to do in town would be Duty-Free (which is no financial value to anyone in the US). A waste of 4 hours.
Pros: The entire property was pretty clean. The wait staff at UMI were very good. If you want a quiet and calm place to stay with not much activities, this is the place to be.
Cons: The restaurant staff were not very attentive except for the specialty restaurant UMI. The food at the reef restaurant could be better. The bathroom in the room was not cleaned properly. Nothing much to do on the property especially at night.
When you stay at Colony Club by Elegant Hotels in Holetown, you'll be on the beach, within a 5-minute drive of Sandy Lane Beach and Paynes Bay Beach. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour business center, and limo/town car service. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast was good. Lots of choice. The place is best for location and pools/beach. The food generally was a little underwhelming except for Lone Star, which I would highly recommend.
Cons: The food.
Pros: Beautiful hotel if you like nature. This was our second visit to that hotel and our 3rd visit to Barbados. Very attractive gardens and nice beach, ideal swimming conditions, no seaweeds during our stay in June. Plenty of beach umbrellas and comfortable sunbeds too. Very attentive pool/beach staff, especially the beach attraction team. The watersports team is also great, they were teaching us to sail and water ski. The daily breakfast buffet had very fresh food of wide variety. The daily treats served on the beach (canapes, frozen grapes, ice cream, cold face towels) were a nice surprise! We highly recommend renting a car and taking a drive around the Island.
Cons: It would be great if the hotel had its own souvenir shop (beach bags, baseball caps, thermoses, T-shirts, etc.).
Pros: Love the staff Rooms were clean and comfortable Grounds clean and beautiful. Beach is clean and calm Enough beach lounger to go around Love hearing the birds on the property. Love the Koi Pond
Cons: Wish we had more varieties of Island cuisine and fruits that we cannot get in the states. More nightly entertainment.
Pros: Loved the breakfast buffet every morning. Nice selection of food.
Cons: Shower had a half door. Water sprayed out on the floor and counter. Really need a shower curtain.
Pros: The location is very convenient with easy access to many good restaurants just a short taxi ride away. The free water sports made for a great deal of fun and welcome relief, when required from just laying around on sun beds. The staff at the hotel generally were very friendly and always helpful with the odd exception. Food at the hotel was superb as the day starts with a great breakfast!
Cons: The early start to reserve a sunbed on the beach was a pain but proved necessary if you wanted to avoid being under a tree all day! The evening entertainment was not at the level I would expect. Birds in the restaurant were a nuisance but that is what you get with an open dining room so not a major issue. Some investment is needed in the rooms, particularly the shower to maintain a 4 Star standard.
Pros: We were attending Barbados for a wedding. Guests were spread over various hotels. The hotel was immaculate. We visited a few other hotels to see friends and we walked away very happy with what we had in comparison. the destination on the west coast meant warm water, calm water and beautiful miles and miles of sand. We swam with turtles, snorkelled. the resort is so relaxing. highly recommend
Cons: Quite far from outside resteraunts so would be cheaper if you had a hire car if you want to eat outside the hotel for a change but that is pushing me to find fault.
Pros: Beautiful and well maintained gardens. Well furnished and maintained rooms
Cons: Service poor. Staff took little notice of requests for certain foods. E.g. we asked for soya milk several times and the staff brought cows milk instead which we found out after drinking it..This led to allergic reaction, that lasted until our return to the UK. This is worrying if you have a severe nut allergy. Bed sheets don’t fit the bed so you’ll be up at night remaking the bed. No usable dressing table and mirror. Espresso machine in the room unusable as cups provided don’t fit. Requested cups to fit Espresso machine and an extension lead for hair dryer, our repeated requests were ignored. Service and attention to detail worthy of two star rating. Note, management sympathetic and make all the right noises but nothing really changes.

Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and multilingual staff. Planning an event in Bridgetown? This inn features 400 square feet (37 square meters) of event facilities. Pros: Absolutely gorgeous hotel - very boutique in style - really interesting pool - excellent food and finally, wonderful staff.
Cons: Little bit cut off, but no regrets staying on the property and dining in the restaurant.
Pros: The location, the attention to detail, the thought and effort that had gone in to creating a lovely environment. Also the friendly, welcoming staff.
Cons: Some difficulty with midges and mosquitoes because the pretty garden rooms are very near to the swimming pool. We couldn’t use the terrace room in the evening.
Pros: Our peaceful verandah with swinging bed. The sea view. The peacocks. The wonderful colonial house. The very interesting breakfast. The charming and kind staff. The intro to their interesting & reliable cab driver.
Cons: It was rather off the beaten track for first time visitors to Barbados. That is probably our fault rather than theirs.
Pros: The numerous nooks spotted throughout the property to welcome holiday reflection, and meditative like relaxation is sublime. An isolated compound with oceans of charm and none of the over imposed employee invasion is an original experience to enjoy for as long as you are staying in Barnados. Lush Quiet spaces, jungle pool and peacocks, are words that come to mind.
Pros: Beautiful, green and peacocks everywhere. Staff helpful and friendly. Jessica was very hands on and went the extra mile for us.
Cons: I wish we had a better view from our room. Apart from that it was a nice room.
Pros: Staff and personal very good. set up the TV to be more friendly
Cons: the long distance from the airportgood
Pros: Lovely house, carefully put together with lots of character and charm; beautiful gardens; magnificent peacocks.
Cons: No phone in room - inconvenient as I needed to make local calls. Breakfast on second day completely fell to bits - we were offered DIY instant coffee, and then fried bread with butter and marmalade - I had to point out to the waitress that it wasn’t toast. And then they got the bill wrong. BUT I loved this place and shall go back, many times.
Pros: Room and cleanliness excellent. Bed very comfortable. Food very good and well presented. Pool and garden area very nice. Within walking distance of Carlisle beach.
Cons: Check-in was a bit slow. No readily available history of the building. Had to ask for information.
When you stay at Coral Sands Beach Resort in Worthing, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Worthing Beach and 10 minutes by foot from Rockley Beach. Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very polite and accommodating staff absolutely breathtaking decor
Cons: Too little options at the restaurant Pool opening hours too limited
Cons: Pilows could be softer Food could improve
Pros: All rooms have an ocean view and are in very close proximity to the ocean. Additionally the staff are very helpful - particularly the cleaning staff.
Cons: There is no gym/exercise area. This was a big issue for all of us as we had to go offsite to another hotel. They should convert the “rarely used” small restaurant into a gym. Small double beds should be upgraded to Queen at least. Decor is very dated but that’s not really an issue.
Pros: We really loved the location and the resort. There is an added convenience of staying in a smaller, more quaint resorts, and short-distance walking from the front desk to the studio room, and to the beach in a matter of minutes!
Cons: The breakfast menu and food quality needs improvement. I did not like baked beans as an item choice- and it was actually pork& beans. The hash browns should be prepared using fresh potatoes, instead of frozen brown & serve potatoes, and the bacon was not quality or cooked well.
Pros: The coffee
Cons: Bar was barely attended
Pros: Lovely little hotel, all the staff are friendly and helpful, the cleaning ladies are lovely. The hotel is immaculate, good location about a 10 minute walk (maximum) to St Lawrence and about 10 minute walk to Accra beach. This was our 4th visit to the island and our first stay at coral sands, we will be back to stay at coral sands ❤️
Pros: Location Location Location
Cons: Needs a bit of updating
Pros: The rooms are large, great kitchen, bathroom, bed, balcony, views. We rented a car but unless you want to discover the island you won't need one. Stores, restaurants are within walking distance.
Cons: The restaurant for breakfast was ridiculously expensive. The food was Okay, we only had one breakfast.
Pros: There was nothing not to like. Hotel is adjacent to the beach has a nice pool area and our room had a nice outside space. Reception went out of their way to give us an early check in.
Pros: New to all the bars and fantastic restaurants.
Cons: Its got everything you need on the beach beautiful views, not the biggest. hotel but clean.& comfortable and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Brilliant beach bar just around the corner called the Carib. Nice for just chilling would say not for young children.
When you stay at Tamarind by Elegant Hotels in Paynes Bay, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Paynes Bay Beach and 11 minutes by foot from Sandy Lane Beach. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Event facilities at this resort consist of a conference center and a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location was good, very close to the beach. Staff very polite.
Cons: Whole resort looking shabby, breakfast was average. Rooms tired and “king” beds very short meaning my feet were over the end so sleeping was uncomfortable. Bathrooms need work, holes in walls where taps have been moved. Lighting in the room insufficient.
Pros: Location, service, value.
Cons: WiFi is tragically slow.
Pros: The location of the hotel is beautiful and it's secluded enough that there aren't a lot of people wandering up and down the beach, so it's never too crowded. There are plenty of trees (palm & otherwise) around to make you feel like you're in a little slice of heaven. Our room's balcony overlooked the pool and the Caribbean sea, so it was a beautiful sight to wake up to and watch sunset over. The fact that the hotel included water sports in the price made our splurge for the room totally worth it. The staff at Tamarind was super helpful and very nice, always helping us whenever we had questions. Tamarind also offers free parking if you decide to rent a car and explore the island, which came in handy for us. They also helped us organize tours around the island. Lastly, the hotel has a great breakfast included with the stay - there is a regular continental breakfast, as well as an omelet bar and multiple hot food options.
Cons: The biggest downside was the fact that our room was rather noisy. Because of the location of our room in the resort, we could always hear the restocking truck come in at 4am and huff & puff until everything was unloaded, half an hour later. Other than that, minor things: The restaurant is a bit pricey but not much over the other nice restaurant options on the island. However, they do feature good musical performances throughout the week which make it worth it. Guests also have to wake up early to reserve a beach chair each morning. It seemed like if you weren't headed down to hold your chair with a book or a towel by 7am, you had no chance of getting a chair. Lastly, the wifi in the room was not so great, although it did work well in the common areas and by the beach/pool.
Pros: Location and water sports
Cons: WiFi super slow or not working Staff always with a”cannot-do” attitude unless chased - made everything tiring and every request a fight Value for money - Way overpriced, rooms for example (and the bed for the third person) and the breakfast were definitely not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel
Pros: Friendly staff, very clean environment
Cons: sea by beach has hidden stones and rocks Dinner menu limited and expensive
Pros: good selection, a little too much waiting time for the omelettes
Cons: No dustbin in the room?
Pros: Breakfast was excellent
Cons: The up and down steps to our room (105).
Pros: Friendly Staff, this was our 2nd time at the Tamarind and almost everyone remembered my husband and I. The beach was even better this time in March, calm with crystal clear water. We came in October 2018 but the beach was rough due to hurricane season. The food was fabulous, breakfast always had a really big selection and dinner was amazing. The beach was just a few steps outside our room and the pool as well. The room was spacious with a wonderful rain shower, loads of clean towels available as well as lovely toiletries.
Pros: Beach and sea was very nice with fish in different colors and if you are lucky you can swim with turtles too. Hotel is very close to holetown where you can find sth to eat nice food and bars. Sea activities were good. You can do water sports such as snorkelling and canoeing free.
Cons: Room cleaning was not good. We found room and cups dirty several times. Breakfast was tasteless. Also we didn’t like meals in the hotel. Hotel area is good but not the best area in Barbados, if you go outside to buy something in the evening some strange people were coming besides asking for money etc. like beggars. Everything was broken or not working in facilities room. And be careful at breakfast because when you leave your plate on the table some birds come and eat yout meal.
Pros: Very nice hotel, good value. The rooms were nice and spacious. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful helping us organize activities and arrange dinner reservations. Beach is beautiful and not too crowded.
Cons: Two small things that could be improved, and outlet in the bathroom- or at least near a mirror. And the staff on the beach could be more helpful in setting up chairs, as well there was supposed to be waitress access on the beach which we didn't see unless we went to the bar or restaurant.
This family-friendly Holetown property is within 1 mi (2 km) of Holetown Beach and Sandy Lane Beach. Paynes Bay Beach is 1.4 mi (2.3 km) away.
Pros: Staff were incredibly friendly and hotel in good location
Cons: Rooms damp and not very clean. Had to move because first room offered on ground floor was so damp. Decor and furniture very old, bathrooms not nice and generally all internal areas in need of upgrading and refurbishment. Food not great and probably one of the worse breakfasts I have ever eaten at a hotel.
Pros: The staff make this place - very friendly and welcoming, always keen to help. Without the staff this would be a very limited and over priced experience.
Cons: For the price (if you pay the rack rate) there are much better places in the Caribbean. While the rooms are perfectly pleasant and the hotel is small, so more personal, the food is pretty terrible for the quality of place and takes a long time to come.
Pros: Nothing at all apart from the location.
Cons: nothing apart from the location. very disappointing. I am well travelled and would not recommend this hotel. iIt is very tired and in need of total refurbishment. Dining room staff very poorly trained. Service extremely poor. Food very disappointing - Don't stay here.
When you stay at Butterfly Beach Hotel in Oistins, you'll be on the beach, within a 5-minute drive of Dover Beach and Miami Beach. Featured amenities include a computer station, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Hands down the BEST vacation my wife & I have even taken! The grounds were pristine. The staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and made us feel right at home. Debra (gift shop/tour booking agent) is AMAZING!! Food was fabulous! We cannot day enough about Butterfly Hotel. We will be back VERY SOON! Thank you for a wonderful vacation.
Cons: Everything was fantastic!
Pros: Hmmmm. The girl that checked us out was nice.
Cons: Location. Beach was very hard to get to. We were treated like we were not welcome Room was very hot. Not the cleanest.
Pros: Right on the Beach! Small beach and chairs available for your use, not crowded. Comfortable, clean room with kitchenette. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Debra was amazing! She arranged for us see everything we wanted in the short time we were there! She says " I know a guy", a quick phone call, and off we go! Thanks Debra! 10 mins to the airport. 15 minute walk to Oistins Fish Fry.
Cons: The Whirlpools were not heated, and dirty.
Pros: Clean with friendly staff in a lovely location . It had really well equipped kitchen for all that really need.
Cons: There was nothing to not like.
Pros: I really loved the view! It was well priced considering that we were just there for the night due to heading out the next morning to go to the Sandals resort. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: We were happy with everything considering the price paid
Cons: I did not like the fact that the room advertised a king size bed but instead had two twin beds pushed together - which proved to be a bit uncomfortable as you can't sleep in the middle of two beds.
Pros: Proximity to the beach is optimal, the service staff is amazing and breakfast is lovely. The ocean view studio is very cute and comes with a stove, plates and cutlery if one is interested in cooking for oneself. This was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: The pool is not the biggest, and after having stayed at Accra Beach Hotel it was just basic but this is not a deal killer. The beach that the hotel occupies is not the the calmest but this is the south coast of the island and that's what you get. The walls are a bit thin and some adjoining rooms might have guests that are sticklers for quiet and your noisy child might drive them crazy :) Other than those minor things, they're really no downsides to this hotel.
Pros: I liked the hotel and location which was quite close to oistins The staff where very friendly, the rooms were cleaned every day I liked that the hotel was by the ocean and that we could sit on the deck chairs facing the ocean as well as having 3 jacuzzis and two pools , I would definitely return to the butterfly beach hotel and I would recommend it to friends and family .
Pros: The staff at the restaurant were hit and miss, some of the older women would barely acknowledge you and just had horrible customer service. Check out took a long time, I had been double charged and they made me really prove it before checking their systems to confirm and made me wait around while it happened. Room was lovely - very spacious. Bed was literally two stuck together so given the option again I wouldn’t select king as there’s no way to sleep across them comfortably! Location is fine - bit of a walk into town either direction (15/20mins) to the nearest grocery / restaurant. Staff want to put you in cabs all the time but I wish I knew sooner the bus was right out the front - so cheap and really good! So much wasted money on taxis getting around.
Cons: Went through it above
Pros: Staff were very friendly and efficient.
Cons: Breakfast seemed very expensive if all you wanted a bit to eat - e.g. coffee and toast or fruit.
Located in Oistins, this beachfront property is in the entertainment district and within 1 mi (2 km) of Windward Islands and Miami Beach. Dover Beach and Worthing Beach are also within 3 mi (5 km).
Pros: The room is ok.
Cons: Completely poor service. Nobody cares about any of your requests. The transfer was supposed to be organized by hotel but nobody came - and no excuses at all. Main restaurant is awful. Sea view room in fact was a pool and roof view, and very little of the sea. Had to ask for making-up the room for three times. Lots of disappointment. We left this hotel 2 nights earlier, and spoke to a manager asking for refund - no reaction. We even didn't receive a final statement. The location is not really great - lots of waves and windy.
Pros: Super friendly staff. High quality. Everything was tip top. Intend to return.
Cons: Board games not readily available. Crisps, nuts, olives etc to have with the excellent all inclusive drinks would have been very well received
Pros: We were really impressed by the hotel. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the location was great (including great white beaches), the food choice every day was very good, the cocktails were great. It was also helpful to have the different pools to relax in, with beach towels supplied.
Cons: Maybe more info online if the facilities (only a small thing).
Pros: The food was exceptional and a really varied menu staff very friendly and polite always trying to help
Cons: The fact that you couldn't smoke on
Pros: The beach is one of the best I've ever seen. The views are incredible. Great location. Food not bad at all for an all inclusive - something we loved everyday. We would come back.
Cons: All the restaurant staff were amazing but the reception staff have a lot to live up to. Very slow. I asked for towels 5 times before I got it. We booked trips but no one told us when we were departing (despite asking 3 times!) No one knew anything. I found a few of them a bit rude. That said, everyone else was a delight. Very friendly.
Pros: I really enjoyed the size of the rooms and the fact that you can have 2 rooms communicating together. We were a family of 7 and it was perfect. The rooms and facilities were always clean and well maintained. There were some great events at the small bar of the hotel with great people teaching us about Barbados. Shawn from guest services was extremely great at booking us the right excursions. The location of the hotel and proximity of the beach was fantastic. We were very happy about the 'smaller' type of hotel/resort, with 3 pools and direct access to the beach. Finally we met some great people from multiple different countries and made some new friends.
Cons: It felt as though not all of the staff at the hotel is happy to be working in the service industry. When you choose a hotel you are looking for the best experience that will make you want to go back but not all of the staff felt as though this was their mission or values. From a cuisine perspective, both a la carte restaurant need better quality and better variety. Breakfast were great but dinner options were limited and not tasty. We ended eating out on multiple nights which makes a trip more expensive when you pay for all inclusive. There are some quite good restaurants on the island so hotels need to follow as well.
Pros: The beach was amazing!
Cons: The restaurants and the food served was not very good. It was quite annoying having to book a table every night and not being able to eat whenever we wanted to.
Pros: Overall, we all loved our 5 night stay here at Sea Breeze Hotel. The resort isn't super large or populated, so it has a nice intimate feel to it overall, and you quickly get to know the lovely staff and other visitors. The beach is very nice, with good chairs, and is right in front of the hotel. They served us drinks us on the beach which was a first for us. We spent most of our time their. The rooms we stayed in were recently renovated (or it was a new building), so we were very happy with their quality. Pretty much all of the food was spectacular too.
Cons: My partner and I, and another couple, were traveling together. So when booking, instead of getting 2 separate individual rooms, we saw that we could save some money by getting a shared room that had 2 separate bedrooms each having a large bed in each (and we didn't mind sharing a bathroom and living area so this made sense for us). That is how the room is listed on book.com. But when we arrived, we were not happy to see that one of the rooms had 2 single beds in it. This was a very difficult problem to resolve, because the on site management could not provide us with the room that we had booked through this site. At first they actually challenged me, and asked me to provide proof of the room that I booked. Luckily me being the paranoid person that I am - I had proof. I also even took the initiative to add a special request in the booking that we were 2 couples who each wanted a room with a single large bed because I had read other reviews where people did not get the room that they thought they booked - which didn't matter. Since we arrived at 7 pm, and nobody on site has any power to change anything, we had to wait until 8 a.m. the next morning until their central office was open to get it resolved. So for the first night my partner and I slept in two single beds quite reluctantly. It turns our after some very hard debating (I'm a very stubborn person, and I felt wronged by this, and I wasn't going to settle until they accommodated to our needs), we learned t problem is this sort of room configuration does NOT EXIST at all, which we found out the next day when the marketing manager came on site. Aka they are false advertising on book.com, so be careful what you book. I am happy to say though that eventually they did resolve our issue, and ended up giving us two separate rooms that were conjoined - which I greatly appreciate.
Pros: Accommodation was modern and brightly decorated after a recent refurbishment. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent location and beach lovely.
When you stay at Gemini House Bed & Breakfast in Inch Marlowe, you'll be near the beach, a 2-minute drive from Silver Sands Beach and 10 minutes from Dover Beach. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everything. From the moment we arrived, Geri was absolutely the perfect hostess. Attentive, but not overley so, which is just what you need after a long flight to get orientated.
Cons: That we couldn't have stayed longer. The guesthouse was brilliant and Steve and Geri the most interesting couple to talk to.
Pros: The staff is very polite, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was awesome. Loved it! Will definitely go again and recommend this place to anyone.
Pros: Such a lovely couple , very nice breakfast
Pros: Late check-in was possible, bed wes very comfortable!, the host was very kind and made really good breakfast. For example she had scrambled egg with fresh herbs which I liked a lot, and some good coffee :) Also thank you for taking care of me when I had a sunstroke <3 I felt like I was in good hands!
Cons: I missed soap in the bathroom
Pros: Pleasant and near beach, shop and bar
Cons: If you arrive on Sundays, there’s nowhere to get dinner!
Pros: Geri and Steve are so welcoming and Geri's Breakfasts are top of the shop! Thanks so much for an amazing kiting week!
Pros: The owner was very welcoming and the breakfast she prepared at 4 AM delicious and highly appreciated.
Cons: A bit pricey for a simple room. No food or drinks options, we remained hungry after arriving with an evening flight for a transit stay only. We luckily had some chocolate ourselves.
Pros: The contact from the owners was quick and helpful. It was just what I thought I was booking. Close to the airport and still good for a stroll to the beach
Pros: Pleasant owners/ very helpful and a great breakfast !!
Cons: Wish we had an extra pillow small issue but with back issue that would have been great
