Our room said "ensuite" but the sink was in the bedroom! Not keen on that as ensuite should include basin along with toilet and shower- so it was a little disappointing.
welcome good,staff friendly. no
room was clean, cosy and comfortable. friendly staff. had a nice experience on my one night stay. good hotel.
Excellent value for money, The staff were really friendly and helpful and let me keep my room longer than the scheduled check out time at no extra cost. Will stay there again.
very friendly and helpful staff. Clean well appointed en suite rooms with tea/coffee facilities. Sea front location. nothing
Bar man exceptionally attentive and very chatty. Yes the first floor fire door kept banging shut. I timed it once to approx every 5 minutes as people went in and out. Very noisy and very irritating.
not a lot meal was awful, breakfast was awful, shower was awfull,
Clean comfortable place to stay with an excellent breakfast. Particularly liked the fresh fruit and the fresh fruit in the room on arrival.
My friend and I had a very relaxing 2 night stay nothing was too much trouble for the owners every small detail was thought ofBreakfast was better than many 5* hotels we have stayed in all over the world Jean & Barabara Lift !!!!! but this is only because we live in bungalows
A wonderful place to stay Elsa and Keith were very friendly and helpful, the best B+B we have ever stayed at, and we have a been to quite a few.We will definately be back The rain, but who's fault was that!
Very friendly staff, smart in appearence and very professional. Great view of the broads from room window Slight breeze coming through the bedroom window whilst closed, nothing to worry about during the summer months.
The view from our room was breathtaking . We requested late checkout got it no problem breakfast lovely cooked to order all local produce . Had a fantastic stay will be going back with out a doubt.
Staff welcoming and attentive, breakfast excellent, rooms clean and comfortable, plenty of parking, good geographical position. Whole decor outdated and worn. No apparent computer facilities for business people
Excellent meal in the carvery Room I stayed in smelled a bit unpleasant. Probably the old carpet/decor.
We were upgraded to a suite. What a lovely surprise. We had a very nice room with beautiful views, very relaxed atmosphere. Dining: we did not try the Carvery menu, but had the a la carte - I felt my main course was pre-prepared, and subsequently was not to the highest standard. Passable. Breakfast: delicious.
Good location with excellent views Superior room not up to standard expected ie room small and bed not a king size
Good location and adequate service. No specific dislikes.
The Hotel had absolutely everything we needed during our visit to Lowestoft,The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient. The building itself is a bit of a rabbit warren.
We arrived on a cold November day, having been told by phone that they did not have the twin room we had booked, we had agreed to have 2 single rooms at the same price. To our delight we were shown to a triple room on the 1st floor. Our bags were taken up to the room, which was clean and cosy. The people were lovely, very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed our stay, for the price it was excellent value.
The room was very comfortable. the food excellent and the staff very good but in high season it might be a bit noisy as walls were a bit thin. The barman kept disappearing.I did not check reviews on internet (for answer below)
Friendliness of staff. Location. Ease of parking. Lovely sea view. Cleanliness. Rather small en suite shower room with no shelf on which to put wasking kit items. The breakfast choices were not fully explained - instead assumptions were made about what we'd want - e.g. I would have preferred brown bread toast and a choice of jams but instead was simply given white bread toast and a rather poor quality marmalade. When I did ask for brown bread toast on the second day, I was told they'd cancelled the order for brown bread as nobody wanted it!
very peaceful stay
Friendly staff, Relaxed atmosphere and good food. Excellent quiet location.
jason the bar manager was excellent in his work. he was there to greet us, show us to our room and even carried our bag up. he served us with drinks in the bar later and nothing was too much trouble.
Clean room, comfy bed, great breakfast.Made to feel welcome. None
Pleasant staff, newly renovated rooms, great food, nice bar area with reasonable prices, nice location opn front, a short distance from city centre. Nothing, a good value for money hotel, with a nice personal touch.
we were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door. The room was very comfy and we will use the hotel again. Thank you
The hotel is in a very good position.the rooms are very clean.the staff are very good.overall a good hotel to stay.
not alot, ok place wanting cheap but beds tiny rooms tiny we had idoits shouting down in the rooms near us at 5am no staff on site other than 1 little man a dive is what i would call the hotel never again!!!!!!!!!!! no info wen checking in regarding breakfast any problems etc just very basic at that price we were not expecting the hilton but it was poor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Small, but comfortable room. Good breakfast. Evening entertainment. No functioning wi-fi Internet access, as advertised on Booking.com website. Attitude of manageress to this was poor.
Sea Front Small Room, no view
not enough staff on duty
the location was close to the beach Many things. The rooms were falling apart. An uneven carpet covered wobbly floorboards. The bathroom was poorly assembled. The breakfast was mediocre and limited. The linens were rough. The bed were very worn out - you could easily see the spring coils through the bottom sheet.
Very good hotel.friendly, efficient staff and very attentive.room was very clean .breakfast was great.the location of the hotel is very good.
Helpfullness of staff
Excellent stay.very good location.very good clean room.staff very friendly.very good breakfast.defenitely recommended.
Very good sea side hotel.the rooms are of very good quality and nicely furnished.the staff are very nice and polite.the management make you feel very welcome.
The room was comfortable and with a sea view Steps to get to the reception area, very small lift to upper floors
Friendly staff, reasonably priced rooms available on special promotion, good breakfast, nice seafront location
hotel was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay Did not like dogs staying, thought it was very un hygienic, and did,nt like the thought that a dog had been in the room before us, as I suffer from asthma and it could have made me very poorly, and it let the hotel down .
good restuarant andnice bedroom maybe the lift
The food at the restaurant was terrific. The staff created a good atmosphere although the decor was tired. Good location for the business trip I was on. The bar lacked charm. Functional is the best way to describe this area.
how good the staff were they could not do enough to help the room was very small and it had a smell in it not nice we had to leave all the windows open
the hotel bar was very poor
Good size room and Bed. Breakfast good too.
overlooking the sea. good breakfast & service. good restaurant.
Location on Sea Front excellent
Very pleasant and efficient welcome. Room excellent and very clean. Breakfast very good.
I enjoyed my stay at Knights Court although only one night on a business trip. Reception was excellent bedroom clean and comfortable and food good. The hotel had a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff group . I would return to this hotel and use it during a family holiday if needed.
excellent food - comfort plus friendliness
very comfortable and good value no
Nice Rooms, Staff pleasant Poor quality food, very poor service at breakfast
Staff were friendly, knowledgable and curteous, facilities in general very good and the stay was enjoyable overall. We were shown two rooms which were unaccepable, but were happy with the third. Hotel needs investment in its repair and redecoration of rooms (eg peeling wallpaper, water stains on ceiling, mold in showers).
We enjoyed the warm welcome , the pleasant surroundings and decor. The rooms were very well decorated with great facilities. The breakfast was supet too. We also liked the close proximity to the beach.
A relaxing, hassle free relaxing break. Lovely room, garden and sea view. The hotel is well managed, with attentive, motivated staff. The food was excellent. Lovely gardens to relax in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will go again for sure. Could not fault anything.
The location was excellent and the breakfast was lovely The room, although comfortable and clean, was somewhat tatty and past its best. we suggest a refurb
Convenience for place of work. Looks a little shabby, could do with a lick of paint.
the hotel was perfectly situated for the local beach. the hotel was booked weeks befor our trip but on arrival we found we didnt have a room we were later allocated with a spare room but not one of our choice
excellent food, staff very helpful, stairs
The hotel was beautiful and the facilities were excellent. We have stayed at this hotel before and will be booking again The only bad point was the breakfast wasn't too good
Hostess was very friendly and helpfull, room was georgous
Pleasant, clean and nicely decorated rooms made for a comfortable overnight stay. Little extras like the small selection of DVDs in the room and free wifi were much appreciated. Easy on the wallet too, with the tariff including a continental breakfast with delicious home-made conserves.
Nice sized rooms - good atmosphere
To many to choose from owner liz was a excellent hostess and really made our stay homely Weather but coming back for the good food and wine made you forget about outside
The breakfast (Full English) Was without doubt the best I have ever had at any hotel anywhere
Very welcoming, lovely smell of freshly baked breads and cakes -i was on my own and felt very safe and really comfortable in surroundings. i would prefer a shower cubicle rather than a shower over the bath as there was no curtain to retain spray of water.
the bedroom and bathroom Having to wait for someone to answer the front door and to find someone to take payment who could work the card machine. Had to pay by cheque
the staff & the bed was really comfy having to go home
The owner of Baytree House was lovely and very friendly, we got an upgrade to the Four poster room with Jacuzzi which was fantastic!
everything, a wonderful home cooked breakfast big enough for two, home made marmalade.A four poster bed up graded room, how kind. the lady who hosted the hotel very warm and friendly. nice location and near to a nice pub, for an evening drink.Beautifuly decorated and furnished and beautifuly kept and efficietly run.I loved it. the room I stayed in was going to have an shower added and this would have been better. i was not keen to share the bathroom facility.
the room n/a
Lovely clean and modern hotel, very friendly and excellent food. No
Very friendly staff. Room was comfortable with nice touches such as mini bar, good selection of tea's coffees, flat screen TV. Nice decor and veery comfy bed. Breakfast was smashing. Would certainly stay here again. No complaints
Welcoming & friendly, very modern, A grade cleanliness, great breakfast.
i was recomended the beaumont and will stay again it is welcoming clean ,comfortable, excellant facilities, fantastic breakfast, the best hotel i have stayed in for a long time.
Cleanliness and facilities. Attitude of the owners/staff
Very friendly, welcoming people. Really nice breakfast options. I would stay here again on future visits
Over the moon, we are disabled and they were very kind indeed.
Warm friendly welcome.Good food,All the luxury room trimmings ie:coffe/tea biscuits, mini bar, toiletries, hair dryer, TV etc.
The owners were very accomodating and inviting. Their service was excellent. They cooked me the finest tasting breakfast I'd ever had, and I've had a few!!
Staff very helful and friendly. Great breakfasts. Small bathroom
Well situated for amenities.Owners very friendly. No real bad points, everything acceptable.Bedroom space a little constricted.
Fantastic location, cleanliness and hospitality, will stop there again.
We arrived just before midnight after a long journey....we had a warm welcome with a cup of tea! The breakfasts were very good and nothing was too much trouble. A very comfortable stay!
Excellent touches in all rooms, very clean and tidy and the owners were a wonderfully helpful couple
Excellent breakfast. Friendly chatty owners. Bed comfortable and nice big bathroom! Very cold in room. Radiator didnt give off much heat. Very noisy from street. Could benefit from double glazing as every car and person that went by woke us up.
a very warm welcome on arival with a cup of tea,,the breckfast were great, the room was great with a nice view over a park
It was quiet, clean and private.Parking was ok either outside on the forecourt or free nearby. I had a ground floor room which was very convenient. The breakfasts were very good- with lots of options and a soldier with my boiled eggs. The staff very friendly and helpful. I really hated Great Yarmouth itself and would never stay in the town again. However the nearby scenery and Norfolk coast was great. The hotel was selected because I was working in Norwich and did not want to stay in the city itself. It was an easy drive to the Cathedral.
All points of the hotel were excellent food very good and company very good as well. rooms were clean towels changed every day and room cleaned and beds made None
Lovely stay, friendly hosts and great location.
all was excellent and all staff friendly, breakfast excellent
Landlady very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast staff very friendly. Nice sized family room for our family of 5. Only minus point were the sausages used for breakfast (very low quality) and my children love their sausages for breakfast and this didn't go down too well, all other ingredients very nice. Apart from that a nice pleasant stay.
Clean, cheap Undrinkable coffee in the bedroom, not much better at breakfast
Breakfasts were good, and we could have an evening meal there too, if desired. Location near seafront good. They asked when we arrived if we'd like to pay the full balance. There was no shower gel or shampoo provided in the room.
Friendly staff made us feel very comfortable and at ease! N/A
The staff were friendly during the evening nap and very efficient in the morning during breakfast NO
Very friendly staff who were ready to go the extra mile.
Homely hotel, cheap. Everything worked. More character than Travelodges, Premier Inns, etc None worth mentioning
Excellent Location, clean room with regular bed making and daily room cleaning / towel / refreshments replacement
Very friendly stay. Affordable luxury with historical interest.
Lovely stay, very welcoming
Decoration, Cleanliness, attention to detail, Service and the Breakfast. Could not drink the water in the room, and the bed sagged in the middle making it quite uncomfortable and very noisy at every movement. (Chopin Room)
The hosts Ann & Colin made us feel very welcome. They certainly have decorated the place very well and obviously take pleasure in giving customers very good service.
The owners are really helpful and kind. They do everything they can to make you feel at home. The breakfast is also very good, with a selection of cooked and non-cooked options. Check-out was very early (10:00 to 10:30am). However, we left a bit later (around 10:50) and it wasn't a problem. Since we were leaving Lowestoft only in the evening, we were welcomed in the afternoon for tea :) . Breakfast was also quite early for me for a weekend (7:30 to 9:00).
Supremely comfortable with breakfasts to die for!
The whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable. Our room, with a view of the sea, was a really nice size and very clean. My husband particularly enjoyed the 'full English' breakfast! The only thing would be more parking space.
the qauint and edwardian style of rooms. Impresive breakfast menu, plenty to eat and beautifully cooked which is hard to maintain when cooking on a large scale. It had the impression that it was a "family run" business with the usual nick nacks of family life - photographs etc which made the hotel feel like it was a warm and welcoming home. It had the personal touch which is absent in many hotel chains these days. The windows over the bed got a little draughty duriing the night. However there were radiators and an extra heater supplied which kept the overall room temperture constant. The matress bowed in towards the middle of the bed making it somewhat uncomfortable. However, I am being somewhat critical as the rest of our stay was excellent value of money. Unfortunately, we stayed in the middle of November so our experience of the resort of Lowestoft is marred. For a once and prosperous resort, I felt it had lost some of its finery and the buidlings further down the town looked in desperate need of repair, but this is true of many british seaside towns.
The Victotian decor to the rooms & hotel in general. Rooms were very comfortable No evening meal or bar. Could also do with a desk or small table in the room.
very friendly owners.great room .lovely breakfast.perfect place to stay will be going back.
The room was very comfortable, as was the bed. amenities were excellent
The room was large and well equipped. The staff (the owners?) were charming and very helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. I would rate some where between 4 and 5 stars. The signage from the road could be better, we went passed it a couple of times.
We arrived on a cold wet November night to a lovely warm room. The breakfast was very good too.
Lovely clean rooms, friendly staff, quiet location. There is not any
Friendliness of the owners and quality of the accomodation The derelict view from the accomodation
Homely friendly atmosphere. Lovely warm room Easy to miss from the road. Post code takes you past the address.
Really nice rooms and seperate from the main house. Seems to have excellent disabled access None
Extremely clean, friendly service. Room was fantastic for a 'guest house'. Breakfast was excellent. None!
polite friendly spotlessley clean
Good location friendly helpful hosts. Would go back.
Location was good and within easy reach of parking facilities. Parking is free at this time of year but imagine it would be a nightmare during peak/holiday period. Breakfast menu extremely limited if required before the standard time, i.e reqd breakfast at 0730 and only offered scrambled egg on toast. If I wanted a 'full english' then I would have to wait until 0830. Cleanliness of room very suspect particularly the bathroom. 4 star rating doubtful.
The staff were very welcoming, excellent service, would definately stay again and recommend to families
The owners made me feel most welcome. They provided me with gluten free food for breakfast which was much appreciated. They listened to me ...offering suggestions when asked e.g....their recommendation for a good evening meal was just right. They organized a taxi for me to take me to the train. My room was a good size and I had a great view especially of the fireworks.
polite and helpfull staff.only short walk to beech .and good food.
i like the fact that u are o just get on with it and when u come back you are greeted with a friendly smile and a hallo how was ur day I fell that the front of the holel and the bar/lounge was a bit dated and could do with a bit of a face lift how ever the service was excalent
Friendly helpful owners a very pleasant stay.
Lived up to expectations. Very friendly owners
