Chestnut Mountain Resort is the premier location for year round fun in the greater tri-state region. It is located in Galena, Illinois and overlooks the grand Mississippi River.

The lodge has 100 rooms that all feature beautiful vista views. The rooms come with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, jacuzzis, free parking, and 24-hour security. The resort offers some incentives and deals that save guests money based on time of stay or bundling. These include kids stay and ski free, Winter Hot Dates for 20% savings, stay two nights and get the third free, and a “Ski, Stay & Dine” package.

There are three restaurants that are a part of the resort. They are the Sunset Grille, which is open for dinner and has amazing views of the Mississippi River Valley, the Summit Sports Bar offering craft beers, a selection of fine wines, and contemporary food all day, and the Mountain Top Café located near the bunny slope.

The atmosphere at Chestnut Mountain Resort is great for all sorts of vacationers ranging from groups of friends to couples on their honeymoons. This is a great resort for families also.

The resort has lots of amenities for guests to check out. There’s an indoor pool, game room, sauna, horseshoes, playground, picnic areas, and a gift shop. The area offers a lot to do too. Guests can try the alpine slide, the Soaring Eagle Zip Line, miniature golf, disc golf, a cruise down the Mississippi River, hiking, biking, and skiing and snowboarding.

Whether you’re young, old, or anywhere in between, Chestnut Mountain Resort has something to enjoy. Hit the slopes in the winter, take a hike in the summer, or just relax and take in the view.
