Pros: A wonderful experience through and through. A supermarket and numerous restaurants within reasonable walking distance from the hotel. The hotel itself featured very comfortable rooms with decorations that felt like thoughtful effort was made to give the guests a memorable experience. I'll definitely return.
Pros: Location to the downtown was fairly close.
Staff was SUPER friendly and nice.
Cons: Only one treadmill- they need to get some more cardio equipment besides one treadmill.
Not to be picky but an ice machine on the second floor would have been nice.
When visiting Galena, Galena Stoney Creek is a great choice to consider. You can relax at the spa tub, work out at the fitness center, or unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge.
Pros: Room was clean and had large bathroom. Reasonably priced for a touristy area.
Cons: Breakfast options were mediocre at best.
Pros: The staff was wonderful and the location suited our needs.
Cons: The ceiling fan above the bed was very dirty and bathroom faucets were water spotted which could have been avoided by drying after cleaning.
Pros: Courteous, friendly, clean. The kids loved the pool and the slide! Breakfast was great too! We were only able to stay one night, but aleeady planning our next stay!
Pros: We loved how friendly the staff was. The whole hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious!
Cons: The only downfall was the pool, it was a really great pool and we had a ton of fun on the slide, but the water was very salty, not sure why.

Pros: Fireplace, view and jacuzzi tub. Although a Murphy bed it was comfortable. Room was clean. Porch hadn't been cleaned in a long time, bird nests and droppings. No free wifi.
Cons: Dirty patio. No free wifi. Initially staff told us our reservation was cancelled, even though it wasn't and had already been paid for in full for 1 month
Pros: Fireplace was nice.
Cons: Carpets needed cleaning/replacing and there was a sour odor throughout. Purchased some scented candles to make it bearable. Wifi not included in room rate is ridiculous. Even most McDonalds offer free wifi!
You have to pay for wifi usage. No food offered of any kind, etc.
Pros: It was clean.
Cons: The price was atrocious for what we got.
Pros: The individual rooms were like personal apartments which wad nice when we wanted to stay in and cook. We also liked the jot tub and fire place. Very relaxing.
Cons: It is a bit outside Galena, but it makes for a beautiful drive.
Lots of good things but poor design. Fairly big room but a Murphy Bed? Hot tub was in the bathroom with the gas fireplace between the living room and the bathroom. If someone came into the living room they could look through the fire place to see you sitting on the commode. Lots of great amentities bjut the price was justified when you saw the design screw ups they'd done to the room.
Pros: Nice Staff great views fair room
Cons: Small Bed (it was supposed to be a Queen) and it was a Murphy Bed - we weren't told about that also no maid service we had to switch out towels at the front desk. Crummy small pillows.
Pros: Eating breakfast in my fireside Jacuzzi was a great way to start the day.
did not know room was a time share Did not know bed was a murphy bed (probably would not have rented if had known BUT bed was fine)
Pros: nice room
Cons: lack of reliable wi fi system
Nice relaxing getaway, close to downtown and wonderful view off the balcony.
Pros: It was cozy, quiet and relaxing.
Cons: Everything was wonderful!

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. The Staff was friendly and efficient. The value was excellent
Cons: We had two dirty pillows with black stuff on them and I thought I paid for a room with the hot tube and fireplace so.
Pros: The price was decent (80 on Friday, 120 on Saturday)
Cons: Old air conditioner which smelled funky, toilet bowl wasn't clean, we could hear conversation somewhat clearly next door. Women at the front desk was not competent and our friends had trouble checking in because of her.
Pros: The free breakfast
Cons: The WiFi connection is not working at all.
Pros: The room we stayed in was bigger than expected. It was really nice that we didn't have to be tripping over each other like in other places. Plus it was really clean and comfortable.
Pros: Bed was comfy, nice sized pool and jacuzzi. They have a nice breakfast in the am
Cons: There is no mini fridge or microwave in the rooms(i was aware of this before we went), not a deal breaker but is nice to have.
Pros: Facility and grounds were beautiful. It was close enough to downtown, but not as expensive. Rooms clean and beds comfortable.
Pros: The King suite was perfect.

Cons: I booked a room that said I had a balcony and I was in a room that seemed underground with a walk out cement slab...not impressed! Everything in the room was old and had a weird smell!
Cons: No refrigerator or microwave in room
Pros: We liked Galena but the hotel was horrible
Have been to Eagle Ridge numerous times and will probably be back again numerous times. We view it as a place to relax, recharge and rejoice.
Pros: Beautiful environment, peaceful, so Midwest. Several great food options, enjoyed the one we picked. Bar entertainment on Saturday night was rocking. Love the walking trails. Probably walked 6 miles and didn't touch half of the available trails.
Cons: Would have liked a late checkout option. When we asked on check-in, the clerk seemed a bit put off by our request. We didn't pursue it any further as we just wanted a stress-free, relaxing stay.
was supposed to sleep on the sofa bed. The sheets inside were filthy. We called housekeeping to have the bed made up they dropped off sheets in a garbage bag inside the door. For the price we paid the service was terrible
Pros: the pool
Cons: When we arrived on Friday at 11 AM, I was the 9th person in line, with four more behind me. Waited in the line for over half an hour to check in. The room had no shampoo, conditioner or body soap. Just one bar of soap on the bathroom sink. Our daughter
Pros: The cottage was secluded and had sufficient space.
Cons: The fire place didn't have adequate supplies and the lighting packet provided didn't work.
We were very comfortable at Eagle Ridge Inn. It's a relaxing place with lots to do. Enjoyed being away from noise and traffic.
Pros: The grounds and setting along Lake Galena.
Cons: The amenities, pool, boats, bicycles. And, we liked the folks at the bar.
Pros: able to check in early, location, relax feel, villa has everything you need Cons: furnitures, some appliances, bedding, closets need an update, boxelder bugs Tips: good restaurants on Main St
Pros: The villa has a decent size, clean & new kitchen appliances. The villa has a home feel to it.
Cons: The furnitures like the bed, couch, closets, bathroom, bedding sheets & some appliances are old & need update. There were a lot of boxelder bugs outside, clinging into the screen doors & screens, some of them get in the villa. Spider inside the villa.
The room description said it has a whirlpool(hot tub). It was my wife's bday and she wanted a hot tub room. Thats the only reason why I booked xxx/night room instead of the cheaper one xxx/night without hot tub. The room did not have a hot tub and I ended up paying xxx+tax extra for 2 nights. Neither priceline, nor the hotel would honor their mistake and refund me my extra money back. Definitely not going back to this resort nor recommending it. Above all, definitely NOT DOING MY BOOKINGS THROUGH PRICELINE AGAIN.
Pros: Great location
Cons: The room description said it has a whirlpool(hot tub).Thats the only reason why I booked xxx/night room instead of the cheaper one xxx/night without hot tub. The room did not have a hot tub and I ended up paying xxx+tax extra for 2 nights.
The hotel is new but rustic. Lots of wood, which matches the setting: on a lake in rolling hills near the Mississippi. Looked like the best of the lot in a very cute town of Galena
Pros: You know, I loved the location. Rolling hills, a lake, woods, country club, lots of hiking, cute shops in town.
Cons: The main restaurant was overpriced for dinner
Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa features an airport shuttle during limited hours, a golf course, and a marina. An indoor pool and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms offer up nice touches like comfy beds and deep soaking tubs.
Cons: all of eating places closed, did not know this prior to coming. No fresh coffee or breakfast available, had to drive 30 min to get this, would have been nice to have coffee and a roll or something in the lounge area at least
Pros: Stay was very accomodating, besides the rooms are very outdated and small beds. Service was great, slopes were awesome, and food was really good.

Cons: It was way over priced. It was suppose to be a bed and breakfast, which consisted of putting a basket the night before that had yogurt and pre packaged fruit cocktail in it. There was no one ever available if we needed anything. Log cabin was not good.
Outside was unkept.
Pros: Allowed Pets.
Cons: Bathroom was dirty looking. Water caused rust stains in tub.
