Pros. It's obviously family-run, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The walls were thick; we couldn't hear our neighbors, and they couldn't hear our screaming 18-month old. Breakfast was probably the best value -- all included and absolutely delicious.
Cons. You can't blame the Almenrausch for this, but it was terribly hot when we visited, and like most European hotels, there's no A/C. Opening the windows helped a little, but the way the rooms are laid out, there's no crossflow of air unless you open the door to your room, which isn't really an option. Just FYI if you're accustomed to A/C and you're visiting in summer.
