High-level accommodation in a rustic region. Good location 15 minutes from Alba in the heart of the Barbaresco area, a 10-minute walk from the picturesque village of Neive. The hotel would benefit from being slightly more down-to-earth. Wlan coverage was not as good as you would expect in a hotel of this level.
Staff was very friendly & professional no
The owner/manager was very friendly, we had a Junior suite which had a fabulour balcony with viws to the village and over the grapevines. There is a restuarant underneath the hotel which is fabulous It is not located in the village of Neive, but a nice walk up the hill, 10 mins maybe. I felt the breakfast could be improved upon with more fruit and some muesli, and a better selection of bread, possibly because we are Aussies we prefer fruit and cereal rather than the more European option
The location was perfect for touring the hill towns of the Piedmont and for taking advantage of the excellent dining opportunities the area provided. The beds were a extremely firm. Not exactly my taste.
Great location only 500m from a charmng hill town in Piemonte. The owner was also very attentive to our needs and made several very helpful recommendations for restaurants and local sightseeing.
cleanness No wi-fi as advertise (hardly any reception) and is misleading when you book the room.
value for money beds to hard
Good location, frendy staff and an excellent restaurant in the same building.
The View The water pressure in the bathroom was very poor and therefore using the shower was particularly disappointing
The hotel is located on a beautiful hillside, with a wonderful view. It was centrally located and easy to get around the area. The beds were extremely uncomfortable.
Nice Staff, Quite but central. Good winebar.
Great value for a pricey area: the rooms are spacious, smartly appointed, and very clean. Best of all, it was small and quiet, in spite of being centrally located to areas of interest in the village, and to other towns in the region.
Lovely, well situated hotel in a beautiful hilltop village. The staff were so nice and welcoming. Relaxed atmosphere overall. Good breakfast. We booked a junior suite on line and this seemed ok. Than we received an e-mail saying that there had a double booking for this room. The website should have been updated. The room we stayed in was really nice but I had been looking forward to this special room.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and nice room Upon checking out, the clerk did not have record of my internet reservation. She offered that I pay Euro 85 when I had already paid Euro 95, so I felt that I was overcharged Euro 10.
very friendly, clean and good food
The room's forniture was new. We were allowed to leave earlier. We had picked that hotel because it advertised wifi and a restaurant. Wifi did not work, and has not worked since August 2008! The restaurant cannot be called such, we were 'offered' a menu for 25 euros each but the meal was very poor quality - much better to go to any other place in Alba. The breakfast provided was even worse.Poor acoustic in the rooms, you could hear avery litte noise from hotel.
We really enjoyed Podere La Piazza. Beatiful place and great environment. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the rest of the family the little restaurant and the fantastic view! We can really recommend this place!
Countryside, good sized room
Secluded location, clean, excellent service. Lack of wi-fi.
Quiet and comfortable No hairdryer in the room
The friendly and helpful staff. Speaking English was such a help. The beautiful clean room and the small touches that made the rooms very nice when you are away from home.
Nice and service oriented staff. Fresh and nice rooms .
Pleasant atmosphere, very nice people, the most delicious breakfast in our holiday
the pool was nice to relax after a long drive and the rooms were clean and pleasant bit warm on a night it seemed expensive and the breakfasts werent much
The owners were very unpleasant, very bad behaving. the room was with spidernets, cold during the night, bad cover!
The hostess were exellent. They spoke very good English, also they were the best possible tourist guides and frendley. We got maps, brochures and verbal information. The breakfast was very good.
Lovely log fire in the dining area, helpful owner who booked recommended restaurants for Truffle tasting, very friendly Owner does not speak English but daughter does and she was present in the mornings to help
very quiet and the staff was very kind. the restaurant where the hotel recommended was nice(this restaurant services italian traditinal pizza and pasta) a little bit difficult to find the way, nothing special to take a look around the city(the hotel is located in a small village)
