Location was great on the beach. Secure parking was free. Staff were helpful. Balcony furniture was a little tired.
Tea or coffee was not available in the room. Not being able to speak Spanish we found it quite difficult to comminicate except with the staff at reception who were good.
A well kept hotell from the 80s. Even the music in lobby and restaurant areas intact since the grand opening it seems like. Look elsewhere if you are looking for gourmet food
Clean, simple hotel in nice location. Wi-fi was a convenient bonus. Poor sound insulation within hotel. Woken during night by sound of furniture being moved in other parts of hotel. Shower and other plumbing noises loud and clear.
had a very relaxing stay staff very helpful we would have liked a la carte menu
Very friendly staff
The staff is friendly, the location in the city of Motril is really very good, but don't think it correspond to modern level of seaside and beach holidays Very old fit out of the rooms, lobby etc. The breakfast is poor, the jus from concentrate, the coffe from automatic machine, the beach is not far, but it is municipal beach with 10 umbrellas for all the people
good value for money the lesure facilities let the hotel down. The pool was supposed to be heated and was cold as was the jacuzzi (one of the main reasons for picking the hotel)
The location, it is very good in a quiet area close to the beach and also close enough to Motril. Nothing we didn't like.
Location to the beach If you are a back ache sufferer do not stay at this hotel. The bed is the hardest bed I have ever slept in. Might as well have slept on the floor!!!!!!
We thought it was Calahonda in Costa Del Sol your site is misleading as this hotel and your listing does not make the actual location clear, in fact the reception at the hotel said that this was quite a common occurence. That aside there was nothing in this resort not even sunbeds before eventually getting there we had to spend the night in fuengirola on discovering the problem, cost 50 euros, then travel to the Costa tropical 250kms away arriving at 5 pm having alrady lost a full day of our holiday. we lasted 2 nights then we left went to torremolinos it cost us an extra 152 euros + plus the travel costs from costa del sol to costa tropical and back again we are very unhappy at this it ruined our holiday
We only used it as a stopover, but would love to stay longer another time it was excellent, we are going into France for a visit soon, and will use Best Western on the way if there are any!
Great position with lovely views and great balcony with pool. Could be a great place with a bit of TLC but very tired and never been finished. had to pay for very poor tennis court.
gorgeous views from our balcony, the restaurant and from the pool terrace air conditionining did not work the night we were there! There is only a buffet restaurant and the snack bar only serves basic sandwiches and snacks.
Isolation from the crowd.
the staff was the best part of the hotel the cleanliness of the hotel was very poor and items that were supposed to be available were not i had been to this hotel before but it has got very poor
The view. Run down. Elderly clientelle (SAGA).
position, room size, free wifi, swimming pool area un po' "scrostato" richiederebbe una rinfrescata.
Very scenic views looking down over Salobrena Town & Coast Line. Hotel Staff were not very friendly. Food was very poor. No entertainment provided by hotel. No shops/restaurants/bars within walking distance.
Thought it was very relaxing and great place to chill out needs at bit of refurbishing
Nice spacious bedroom, spotlessly clean and very handy for the town for walking to places.
The location was excellent, the staff were very friendly, the rooms very clean. Value you for money was excellent and i would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, the location near shopping, restuarants and beach all in walking distance. Garage for security of car.
Great value for money, beautiful clean room and comfortable beds
The hotel was ideally placed for visiting the old town with its white houses and arab castle and also the beach. Approximately ten minutes, slow walking, to reach both. It was unfortunate that the restaurant and spa facilities were not available although i understand the reason as it was out of season. Worth re-visiting when in season. Also, the arab castle would be lit at night.
Nice staff, great view from the yakuzzi, perfect value-for money relation thin walls - if you are susceptible to noise bring Oropax
Beautifully maintained, typically Spanish Hotel with a great roof terrace. No
Clean, good location a little bit noisy as the room had a view on the street
Easy to find, 5 minutes walk from the beach, easy to find parking close-by Not in a very nice area, on a main road, very noisy at night
Hotel staff very helpful, minor problem with booking which was resolved very quickly and efficiently. Receptionist spoke quite good English (better from our Spanish) The hairdryer in the bathroom was broken, other than this everything was fine.
An extremely cosy hotel. The room was specious. We got two comfortable chairs for reading. The garden was fantastic - even in november. Adventous and filled with different exciting species. A spectacular view over the valley. The breakfast was nice. The first time we got muesli in Spain. If you dont bring your own computer it is very convenient to check e-mail and world news (if you dont speak Spanish) from the hotel computer. At hotel Alcademia they had a functional but very slow/old PC.
Balcony with good view of the landscape n/a
restaurant & pool the room was pokey
The setting is beautiful and the hotel itself looks nice. Most of the staff are excellent as well. Our rooms had no air conditioning and we had to leave our window open all night. This wouldn't have been too bad except for the fact that we were by a fountain (water feature) that made noise all night making it difficult to sleep.
It's a cosy hotel offering a nice view to the mountains. The staff was very kind. At the moment the central street of the town is under construction, so there is a possibility of getting lost in the town. But it's not the problem of the hotel.
Relaxed feel and very good restaurant. Only minor gripe is the parking on the road outside. Would be a problem at busy time of year.
excellent pool and restaurant; Lanjaron was a lovely little town with great bars; we didn't pay for parking but parking in the road was a bit awkward - suggest you do use the car park!
Very attractive hotel with plenty of facilities and a great position with good views. The hotel staff especially the reataurant staff were very good.
centrally located, spaceous and clean.typically older style hotel without the modern day fuss.ideal for somewhere quieter. wasnt many staff around which led to waiting on occasions for the bar service, but we did visit out of season.
We enjoyed the peaceful room with spectacular mountain views, very friendly staff and well-equipped room with refridgerator and kettle ( most unusual for Spain ). The gardens were beautiful and had a large outdoor pool.
The location is superb and it is of good quality the parking is terrible and i would imagine in high season even worse
I was there on business. The staff are always most welcoming and amicable.
Very friendly reception. Clean rooms. good central location Hotel does not have parking and it is very difficult to park in the town
quiet, good views limited parking
The concierge was really helpful. Well priced. Big room. Stunning view.
Very nice and helpfull staff. Even though we did not speak any spanish, the staff were all very helpfull and very keen to fulfill our requests and very patient in trying to understand our needs. Thank you for a very nice stay: we felt very welcome.
The central location was excellent, with a very good sized accomodation, clean and polite service. Lack of amenities in room especially fridge and poor shower fitting. No parking at hotel.
I Like the city and beatifull place of mountain, nature. nothing.
Swimming pool and very pleaseant sitting areas. Very nice reception area. Staff extremely helpful. Room was dated and in need of an upgrade, particularly the bathroom.
We only stayed at the hotel for one night and only used the room for showering and sleeping. There was plenty of hot water in the bathroom and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very basic - only toast and coffee. Orange juice would have been nice, as well as being offered something to go on the toast.
The accommodation was very good. It was spacious and comfortable. Despite being on the street side we did not hear any noise at night. The rooms were very clean with good facilities. We also had a view of the mountains! There was a lovely terrace at ground level and also on the roof. Free internet was available which was a bonus.
Although the hotel is 5 minutes drive from the nearest town (Trevelez), it is what it claims, a self-contained village. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Facilities are excellent; an outdoor pool giving a superb view of the mountains and a very warm indoor pool. Buffet breakfast provides good choice and dinners are of high quality at reasonable price. A good base to explore Alpujarras. There were occasions when we felt that there were insufficient staff on duty to attend to the needs of the guests quickly enough.
A magical location, varied and easy to follow walks in the region. Lovely out door and indoor pools to relax in after a days walking. Warm friendly staff.
The views Rooms were not very clean, bed was very uncomfortable, saw lots of bugs in our room, food was not enjoyable, getting there was a huge pain. Do not recommend this hotel. Worst we stayed in while traveling in Spain. Prices were way to expensive for what it was.
quiet hotel building works at front of hotel
bit rooms, all with nice view no airconditioning. Spa was not included and too expensive.
A charming hotel. Very large rooms; inside + outside swimming pools; great view over the Sierra Nevada. It was a joy staying here. 5 Minutes from Trevelez. Staff speak very little English.
fantastic location from a scenic perspective, but very isolated in terms of other villages (so eating out or drinking is a long drive and thats if anything is open) . The friendliness of the staff was a real plus point Hotel was a four star rated but was very tired and needs a refurb!.Dinner is too late at 9pm should be 8pm.....
the setting in the mountains is amazing, fantastic - and then the swimming pool with views on the tranquil mountains
The view was marvelous with the Sierra Nevada in the backyard, the outside swimming pool was very good, but cold. The room size was huge and there was a pool table in the lounge. All and all a hotel with a very nice atmosphere. Hot water from solar energy led to cold water with the cloudy weather, not all staff spoke English very well
Great views. Nice food. Bathroom had an unpleasant odour. Swimming pool was closed. Tv in my room did not work.
Friendly helpful staff. Lovely room and facilities general reflect high level of investment
it was totally fantastic!!! the best hotel i've ever been at, and i've been at quite a lot. such a natural andaluz style, so quiet, so tidy, just perfect i say, fabulous! whenever i go i'll stay there. well, maybe it could have been a bit closer to the sea but the village is very nice so it's only a pleasure to have the walk. and the lady in the hotel, the owner, she was so nice! well, maybe it's because of the grapes i fell with it, i had the flavour in my room and i just love it, but i'm really very satisfied and recommend it ot all.
The intimate surrounding, personal touch of owner keeping the facility in good condition.
Owner recommended good restaurant and walking tour. Used pool at Hotel salopene with good views.
Friendly owners, great location, wonderful eclectic building and decor.Amazing value for mony.Definitely would recommend and return.
The friendliest, nicest place to stay at in Salobrena. Absolutely lovely owner, great coffee, sweet (small) breakfast of pastry and toast with jam and orange juice. Clean, bright rooms (face the street - it'll be loud but the room is lovely!). The owner is friendly, helpful and hospitable - you feel very well taken care of. His recommendation for restaurants was great too! I sincerely would recommend this hotel as the best in Salobrena, and it was definitely a highlight of our stays in our Spain trip.
Exellent, the manager was all accomodating, the hotel is in a very good position for discovering Salobrena Might be a bit hard to find for some people
Fabulous place to stay, great situation for both town and beach, owner very friendly. Excellent value for money. Would definitely stay here again
the owner's simpathy No free parking as apears on site. The parking is in the street
Nice family hostel with warm atmosphere in a good location with bus station and beach nearby, good to stay for a couple of nights but not more unfortunately, the owner Jose is a very kind and helpful person. A poor situation with parking, actually there is no parking there you just drop the car on the street where you could find a place. Also one day I was very badly surprised to find my belongings (which I placed to get dried on the towel holder) throwed on the floor in the shower room so I would advise to the maid to respect more the guests` clothes.
The breakfast was served in the pub, where people smoke.
The hotel is situated just outside of Orgiva and it is a pleasant walk into the town which has a good choice of restaurants and bars. The room had a terrace with good views of the town and country. Situation meant that there could be some traffic noise. WiFi is only available in the public bar not in the rooms.
Breakfast included in price
Clean Staff grumpy and unhelpful. We asked them to call a taxi for us, we thought they were going to, but they didn't then they refused and just gave us a number of a non english speaking taxi service. Hopeless and rude.
Wonderful location. Views from the terrace where we ate dinner and breakfast were beautiful. Dinner - the food was excellent. Breakfast - was toast and marmalade and tea, coffee or milk, plenty for our needs. Other breakfast food you have to pay for.
Easy to get into town Found that the doors were locked overnight with no means of getting out. Discovered this in the morning when a member of staff had to be called to find the key to the outside door.
The delightful staff member Andrea who went out of her way to be welcoming. Maybe the painted mural on the wall was a bit busy?
the view of the mounts from the balcon, and the relaxe.
For a 2 star hotel it was situated with good views of the mountains and across the town, it was clean and tidy without the luxerys.I would stay there again.
