Poor Onsen, no prívate bathroom, eggs uncooked for breakfast, Kaiseki cuisine really simple.
Very relaxing hotel for a getaway. Beautiful rooms and totally amazing food. I booked a stay with breakfast and dinner included. Very helpful and service minded staff.
The room was stylish and the private onsen was great. The food was pretty good and they had complimentary snack time and ice cream down stairs. The yukata they give you are so cute and comfy. It's 6 min walk to gora station
There's really nothing else to do in the hotel or nearby besides eat and onsen. It got boring at night. The staff really doesnt know english and it's an hour from the JR station by bus
We loved the Onsen in this hotel. I hadn’t slept so well in a long time after soaking in both the indoor and outdoor pools. They also served wonderful kaiseki meals for breakfast and dinner which were so lovely many of the guests were taking pictures of each dish as it arrived. The service was also excellent.
My only gripe was the room seemed small for the price which was somewhat inconvenient as we had already accumulated quite a bit through shopping already, but this is Japan after all.
The hotel was extremely overpriced for the quality. It has not been updated in a very long time and the rooms show. Moreover the meals were the worst food I had in Japan. However the hotel was the most expensive that we stayed at in japan. While it is cheaper than many similar places in Hakone it is a horrible value.
The rooms need to be updated and better cleaned. There was garbage in the heating vent and stains on the walls. The food was revolting. And the price was way too high.
