Pros. Everything you would expect for the price, in a good way. Staff were particularly great.
Cons. The deluxe room for 3 people was slightly damp, although it was raining the whole time.
Pros. Beautiful suite, great balcony, flower petals on the bed,
Cons. Although this is a very romantic boutique hotel in a great location, the staff rather creepily hovered over my girlfriend and I during breakfast, and their map incorrectly states that the Ho Chi Minh museum is open until 11:30 when we found out that the museum and mausoleum actually close at 11:00am. Despite this, three members of the staff helped us into a cab to go to the museum at 10:50am anyway, so we were disappointed that it was closed when we got there. Also one of the staff members told us to go to Westlake instead of Hoan Kiem Lake, but Hoan Kiem is way better and Westlake is desolate and miserable this time of year while Hoan Kiem is beautiful and lively for tourists. Also, the same staff member didn't understand when I tried to explain to him that we had already booked a cruise to HaLong Bay and instead kept trying to sell us another one. Also the air conditioner in our suite worked, but we needed to put it on the lowest setting of 16 degrees Celsius and wait about 30 minutes for it to start working effectively. I would definitely recommend that they add extra steps for getting in and out of the complicated shower/light up jacuzzi tub, add some kind of shower curtain to limit splashing in the bathroom, and provide a better explanation of how to use the tub at check in, and that give guests more room/space, and privacy to relax at breakfast time.
Pros. Purchased at a discount, the hotel is a good value in terms of room size, cleanliness, and location.
Cons. The suite jacuzzi bathtub is a slapped together accident waiting to happen, especially with a toddler. Incredibly impractical as a shower. A separate shower would solve the problem, or a simplified bathtub and shower combination like those found in the smaller rooms. Breakfast was basic and simple.
