Pros: Wonderful location. Extremely comfortable bed. Spacious enough for one person; good size bathroom with a nice shower. Easy and quick walk to the train station (and the airport). They offered to put out food for me, since I was leaving early, but I declined. Tea and coffee was provided in the room.

Pros: We arrived by car with our friend coming by bike. This was our last night away after spending 11 nights away as James was doing a cycle ride from John OGroats to Canvey Island in Essex in aid of prostate cancer. Such a lovely welcome pot of tea and biscuits. So helpful as we had to be away by 06:00 the following morning to continue the last leg of the journey coffee and a selection of breakfast items etc was left out for us. Even James bike spent the night in doors
Cons: Low Beams!!

Pros: A very different and impressive place to stay. A lot of care and thought has gone in to this concept, and it really worked for us. We felt very much at home and enjoyed the choices in the “ Diner”. Bedroom was very tastefully furnished and we loved the colours and choice of fabrics.
Cons: It was very warm during the night, and the Velux type windows were high and a bit difficult to open. There was, however, an excellent fan which cooled the room and was not noisy in operation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Laid back, spacious and THAT DINER!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, fun and convenient
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a quirky hotel with very attentive staff. A 24 hour DIY guest access breakfast room is novel and very useful. It is especially rewarding for Morgan car owners (like us), who can admire the current stock, order spares etc. Even if you don't have a Morgan you can admire the selection and even try or buy one!

Pros: Whole experience was first rate. Good parking, friendly attentive hosts and superb facilities.

Pros: If you are looking for something out of the ordinary then this is the place for you. The kitchen, set out as an American Diner, is well stocked and available 24 x 7. It is fully equipped so if you wanted to you could produce/cook a meal in the evening. My room, Super Sport, was art deco and brilliantly decorated.
Cons: Coming back in the day parking could be tight but having said that I always found a space.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Melvyn is running a little gem of a B&B here. His enthusiasm is infectious and he was clearly proud to show us around his establishment! As a classic car enthusiast, I loved his showroom and storage areas as much as the room which was beautifully designed. We will be returning Melvyn, and might even hire one of the cars next time! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Melvyn greeted me and spent time showing me around - it is fantastic!. We loved the 'diner' based on Ace Cafe - loved the details, great that we could help ourselves to breakfast - loved the flexibility - the fact we could bring our own food and cook. We loved looking around the cars. We will be back to try out another room and hire a car for the day. It was perfect!
Cons: There is nothing we didn't like about our stay - we had the place to ourselves (which was perfect) but wondered how it might have worked out if it had been full.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything at the Pit Stop. Good, off street parking. Very good hosts. Excellent accommodation and very good Breakfast food. The Pit Stop deserves to be included in anyone's holiday itinerary. It is more than a B&B and it is of a very high standard. The American DIner is wonderful and don't let the self service breakfast put you off from staying here Melvyn and Sindy have everything you need in their diner to feed hungry guests. Not only do you get to stay in luxury accommodation for a reasonable cost you also get to look around the beautiful cars stored there. The Pit Stop B&B is near enough London and next to Standsted Airport. Car enthusiasts should make sure to stay here and even if you do not have a passion for cars, like my w

Overview Reviews
Located in Sawbridgeworth, Sawbridgeworth Bed & Breakfast is a 4-minute drive from The Gibberd Garden and 10 minutes from Rhodes Arts Complex. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This place was a great find. More a family home than a hotel. And great hosts. When I advised the property of my planned arrival time they replied saying that they would meet me at the local station to save me the walk. Having been up since 03:15 that was such a welcome offer. When I thanked Rob for this he seemed surprised and said he thought that most places did that for their guests. Nope - they really don't! This place is a cut above the rest. If you need an overnight in a location convenient for STANSTED AIRPORT this is a great choice.
Cons: Room isn't ensuite, but since this is really a family home one wouldn't expect that. No problem from my perspective, just something to be aware of. Otherwise great facilities all round. Generally excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean, very comfortable room & bed with great TV inc Netflix. Power shower. Everything I needed. Definitely plan to revisit. I loved that there was an extension lead so I could plug my phone & laptop in next to the bed.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super nice owners, really enjoyed my entire stay! The single room is just what it needs to be. The service was awesome since i even got some sun cream! They even offered to bring me to the city centre, really great!
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was great. Off the beaten tracks in a quiet little town. Hosts Michele & Rob are so friendly and helpful. Rob ran me to the local pub for an evening meal, then came to pick me up. The room was ideal & bed was comfortable. Breakfast was made to order and very tasty. Definitely one of my better stays of my trip.
Cons: The shower/toilet was a little cramped but was OK for me.
10.0 Excellent

Overview Reviews
With a stay at That Amazing Place in Harlow, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of The Gibberd Garden and Rye Meads Nature Reserve. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fab B&B - comfortable, clean, great breakfast and amazing grounds ...would stay again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: To be fair, this place is lovely, grounds, rooms, general vibe.... all great. But the best thing was how we were treated by the people that ran it. We couldn't have felt more like we mattered. We were upgraded to a more comfortable space because Paul knew I wasn't feeling well and he was more than happy to take care of my dog so I could focus on getting a good rest. It's these kinds of things that money won't always get you. That's simply about good people. So I highly recommend this as a place to de-stress and relax for a few days.
Cons: It was one of the hottest days of the year and so the top floor did get pretty warm. But then that's just the style of the property. You can't expect air con in a big manner house!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was great and the owner was very accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend a stay here and will definitely stay again when we are next in the area.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most beautiful and wonderful hotel I have ever stayed at.
Cons: There is nothing that I did not like, it is perfect.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really unusual property with beautiful grounds. Good breakfast. We went straight out to eat in the evening so we didn’t have the welcome drink that was offered but did appreciate the bottle of Prosecco on ice that was waiting for our return.
Cons: There were a few improvements needed to the room. A mirror with plug socket next to it for the use of hairdryer and hair straighteners....I would have been unable to style my hair without the small mirror I brought with me. There was no shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on and there were no bedside cabinets. There were 2 long legged spiders on the ceiling above the shower. Otherwise a nice room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly & very welcoming owner and staff. Lovely property, great bedroom, fabulous views excellent breakfast. Everything about our stay was a pleasure, we couldn't fault a thing/

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location to airport
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location and clean, courteous and very helpful staff. The check out was at 10 am, not 11 am like many other places which we hoped, but we were allowed to stay till 11 am to finish watching our favourite Andrew Marr show. There were wide choice of self serviced breakfast, but there was no hot food or continental breakfast.
Cons: The room was very small and congested for twin beds, but was okay for one night stay as we arrived quite late in the evening after finishing a wedding ceremony. We found outdated butter in the fridge. We brought it to the attention of the landlord and was told that it might have been left there by a customer as people sometimes bring their own food.

With quadruple room deal, you got a whole little cottage by yourself which gives you a homely experience at the countryside.
Cons: I could hear the sounds of a plan flying above the stay even at 11pm. However, this does not affect me as I fall asleep easily and am a heavy sleeper. Pros: My son and I had a very comfortable stay at Standsted Inn. We enjoyed falling asleep and waking up to the sheep. The room was small but comfortable for just my son and I. We were upgraded to a room with bathroom which was nice to have traveling with a shy kiddo. The night we arrived Nadia greeted us and even went out of her way to help us get late dinner. Rooms were cleaned Everyday. Getting to the train station was pretty easy. We were told we could take a bus that ran every hour but decided to take a taxi which was only 7£. I cannot express how friendly and helpful Nadia was. She was an angel on our last night there. My son felt ill and had a fever. She went out of her way and drove to get him some medicine. 8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcome, comfy beds, lovely outside facilities (courtyard with chairs and cats)
Cons: Everything perfect
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quiet. Beautiful setting. Breakfast in room was ideal as I was by myself. Parking is a little awkward but that depends on other guests also parking sensibly. There is space on the track outside..
Cons: Other people smoking outside my open window.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and really conveniently located to airport - perfect for early morning flights and fuss free. Adorable thatched cottage as you approach the reception to check in - loved the quirkiness. Amenities were ideal for a one night stay and handy to have little porridge pots/muffins available for a reasonable £1 each.
Cons: It was quite a small room and not very soundproof from bedroom to bathroom but this wasn’t a problem for one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff offer airport transfers for half the price of a taxi and they are very prompt, not to mention friendly! The guest house was so lovely, clean, and well stocked with anything you might need (body wash, towels, coffee, snacks, etc.). The room looked newly renovated and was so clean on the inside.
Cons: It was really warm when we arrived so we opened the windows, which led to a TON of bugs entering the property. This made it hard for me to sleep. However, there’s nothing that can be done about this and they do provide a fan for comfort.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: People are very friendly and nice, the room is warmly decorated and very neat and tidy. The bathroom is nice too, it has a good shower.
Cons: they only make transfers from the guest house to the stansted airport, but not the other way round, so it costs about 7 pounds to get from stansted airport to there.

Pros: The host and breakfast options were all great, the room was very clean and comfortable. Location, parking, the ability to come and go easily were all pluses. Thank you for the stay.
Cons: Perhaps a plug a little closer to the bed in the room in which I stayed and the kitchen felt a cramped with the two big tables (getting to the dishwasher and sink was very hard when someone was sat in front of it) but these were *very* minor things.

Shower and hot water were just perfect! Breakfast was very good and the owner very attentive. She even helped me to book a taxi which was great!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely communal bathroom with large bath
Cons: When we arrived on a Wednesday at around 5pm there was no one to meet us and the door was locked; we’d received an email from booking.com with a message saying call thirty mins before but it was among several confirmation/reminder emails we received from the website (plus juggling emails about flight details etc) so we missed it. When we called the host he seemed irate, implying we should check our emails more clearly. They did send someone along to open up the place within 10-15 mins after that. If that’s the policy of the B and B it needs to be more clearly communicated by the booking website or directly by the hosts. But it seems an odd policy for a B and B to not always have an open reception, more in line with a less formal air B and B.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. John and Marie were very accommodating.
Cons: We were in the green room, which has the tiniest shower. Not good for a tall person, especially if you drop the soap! The basin in the cloakroom has no plug, making it difficult to shave. The windows not open.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cosy, rooms comfortable and well presented, Linda the owner was very accommodating regarding my breakfast and its located near to Stansted .

Cons: Disturbed at night and then woken up 6.15am by family with noisy children in another room. Also not easy to check in, my partner who arrived first had to wait over fifteen minutes for someone to arrive with key and after phoning forward to advise of arrival time.

Pros: The gym and sauna, the grounds
Cons: What’s there not to like?!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is close to Stanstead airport, but in a quiet location. Used the hotel after Friday evening flight was cancelled and I had to stay over until another flight was available on the Saturday morning. It allowed maximum time to rest prior to early morning departure.
Cons: Due to early start it was not possible to have breakfast at the hotel, but as it was booked via booking.com it was not possible to revide booking to room only!
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful setting
Cons: Breakfast was very busy as there was a wedding party, food ran out and wasn't refilled very quickly. Warm night and needed to keep the window open-could hear the hum of external machinery.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfy. Staff were excellent
Cons: Room was very warm but the hotel are trying to deal with it
7.0 Good
Pros: Property on amazing grounds Some staff were very helpful and polite food really nice if a little pricey
Cons: A lot of the staff seemed rude and in serious need of training ie on arrival we ordered some drinks glass of wine and 1 cider took over half hour for drinks to arrive !! From then on our party always seemed to be less important than all the wedding parties they had whilst we stayed , three I counted in total !! Be a hotel that has weddings over a busy wknd but you also need to look after your residents ?? Also our room had a beeping noise either inside or outside the room , told reception on the 2nd morning of our stay and was told someone would be up to have a look and get back to us !! No one did !! For somewhere charging a lot of money per room and being a very popular wedding venue I would of expected a higher drilled team of waiters / waitresses but afraid to say a lot were incompetent of often raising a smile let alone getting an order correct and within an acceptable time frame , yes you had weddings happening all wknd but most of the time they were in different rooms and being seen to !! I feel this hotel could be exceptional with the right people in place as the hotel itself is amazing unless this happens then we won’t be back in any rush to let down hall !!
10.0 Excellent

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly especially on the front desk. The place was really well kept and clean. Our room was a great size. The grounds were beautiful. Lovely place to spend a weekend away from life.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location for our needs
Cons: Staff swearing in the car park whilst we were having a chill out drink. The room we ordered with a four poster bed was not available so we were moved to a sub standard room. The chef got sacked so we had no evening meal at the hotel that we were looking forward to . We had to get a takeaway, something we do at home not when we stay away.slats in the bathroom were missing so little privacy. Staff ( girls ) did their best. as helpful as they could be.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic stay. The staff were lovely and welcoming, across all times of day. The breakfast was really nice! Excellent value as a lot of other hotels in the area do not offer breakfast in room rate. Parking opposite at the library which for a Saturday after 5pm through till Monday 8am is free. Otherwise £3 a day. Which can’t be argued.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room with four poster bed and bath tub
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were quite hungry and the lovely staff made sure we had a great breakfast and kept the toast coming ! Thank you!
7.5 Good
Pros: A really luxurious room. We felt so spoiled! Great lunch and delicious breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely room with a spacious bathroom. Ideal for Stansted airport without the 'airport hotel' feel.
Cons: No aircon on a hot night but an effective fan was provided. We had not been told when booking that the restaurant was closed and a bar menu was all that was available. This was limited in choice. Breakfast was also limited, for example, there were no cereals available. We were told that they had had to bin too many. The cooked breakfast was good however.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location - close to Stansted yet in a pleasant setting. Staff - helpful and courteous Bedroom and bathroom - spacious and clean and well decorated!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was lovely!!
Cons: No parking facility
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in an old and traditional house. The room was pretty and comfortable, same for the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back. Not too far away from London and about 40 min. by train from Cambridge.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice rooms, comfy bed and decent little breakfast.
Cons: Unbelievably hot shower which set the fire alarm off for the whole place! Rooms were very hot in summer, was meant to be fresh milk and water in a shared fridge but just full of sparkling water only. WiFi was a bit hit and miss.
