Across the road from the geysir, easy to find, parking and a large room/bathroom.
Minimalist, odd water bottles in the bedrooms, badly stocked common tea/coffee station
The location is great. Right across the street from the geyser and boiling pots. Nearby is a restaurant and small store. The double rooms are nice size and the bathroom was spacious. The single rooms were not up to date.
There was a mistake in rooms based on my last name. I was originally given a room but a few hours later was told it wasn't my room. I was already unpacked and getting ready to retire for the night. I had to move to a smaller room. The staff was very apologetic but it was still an inconvenience. For the price of the room, breakfast should be included. It was a good breakfast but the cost was higher than at most hotels that charge.
Nice view on the Litly geysir. Every 10 minutes we saw the geysir erupt from our window. Breakfast was very good.
Overall it is an ordinary 3-star hotel. Expensive at about € 180 per night, but understandable due to the remote location.
Beds were very comfortable. Hotel right across the street from the geysers. The breakfast was great. Good view from window. Bathroom very clean. Nice shower.
Arrived late but had time after hours to watch the Geysir three times with just two or three other people there. There is a BIG gift shop and restaurant in the property next door (the Geysir Hotel). There is a dining area for supper that closes at 10 pm. Free tea and instant coffee in lobby. Room comfortable, our room was larger than any others we stayed at on the island. Big beautiful bathroom. CLEAN. Bed and bedding comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices including fresh breads, cheese, deli meats, eggs, pancakes, yogurt, fresh cut fruit. We saw the Aurora Borealis at night-there was no alert system from workers at hotel, but we set an alarm to check if the skies had cleared (if we could see stars). Recommend a DSLR camera as iPhone camera can’t capture the colors. In the morning, we drove ten minutes to Gullfoss and beat the bus tours (got there about 9am).
Located in Bláskógabyggd, Litli Geysir is in a rural location, within a 5-minute drive of Strokkur and Geysir Hot Springs. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, an elevator (lift), and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
