In total, the hotel and the staff are OK, The hotel i would rate 7 from 10 and the staff 8.5 from 10. Negativ i found followings: 1. because i came 5 hours earlier from the airport, the hotel charged me 50% from an entire daily rate. 2. Exchange rates of the hotel are 25-30% lower than any exchange office. 3. To use you electonic devices you need an adaptor which cost at the reception 24 Reals. The same device you get in the shop nearby for 4.99. The hotel taxi (black) charged us 45 Reals for the same distance where we payd 24-25 Reals with normal Taxis. This things make no honor for the hotel management.

The hotel is value for money. Well located just opposite side Ibirapuera mall. The rooms are roomy and clean. Breakfast is farily good with lots of options. The restaurant is not big enough to accomodated the guests during the peak hour of the breakfast.
this hotel seems to be only interested in Business clients and not the regular holiday-maker. we thought the service was very poor. would not be staying again at this hotel.

The breakfast! I gained about 2 kilos... The bed was not "premium grade", low shower pressure is the default in Brazil.

Nice rooms, everyone went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable despite our late arrival Or pre-booking through Kayak was not in their reservations. However they got us a room (a free upgrade) and investigated the problem the next morning. By the time we checked out the issue was resolved and our reservation confirmed.
The fact that it was close to the Congonhas Airport in Sao Paulo. That was a determining factor. The basin in my apartment's bathroom (2011) was clearly out of place and needed to be fixed, although everything worked properly.
The location was great and the staff were super friendly and helpful the gym was small and poorly equipped; the glass door in the bathroom was dirty; the food was just OK (but the coffee and juice was excellent)
Great service, mostly English-compatible (note that in Brazil, that's actually a bit rare), nice quiet gym with gorgeous balcony overlooking city, good sized and well-appointed room, clean and friendly overall. Weak food service (made up for by the fact that some of the best food in Sao Paulo is right there), tiny TV.
Wonderful hotel. Gym is excellent. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are big for a city hotel. Breakfast is plentiful. Location is between paulista and Oscjar Freire in the jardins. No complaints! Pool is smallish since it is in the city.
This was my 6th stay at the Renaissance Hotel. Service is impeccable, the rooms are luxurious, and I feel welcome. Thank you for making my stay special. Everything was great!

Breakfast - slow to refill
The hotel served our purpose very well. The location was perfect for our needs. There are several restaurants near by, the neighborhood is safe, the staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a little coffee shop in the lobby that had great coffe and wonderful desserts. I thought there was a jacuzzi at the hotel, that was in the website and there were signs indicating that there was, but they removed it over 5 years ago according to the staff.

The staff of this Hotel, the name Mr. Mauricio was very bad attending about my comments regarding the wake up call. I'm really afraid about his attention.I will update this information in Japanese Committee to take care when they use this Hotel.
Free Internet, total safety, breakfast, room service, big room and confortable bed. 1.- I called maintenance technicians to put the video channel for my camera. They came and did not know how to solve the problem. I am still waiting for them!!! 2.- Too strict with check out time. I had to pay half a daily rate for a few more hours after being one week in the hotel. 3.- They do not accept any Frequent Traveller card as they do in other countries.

Excellent location close to beach. Many nice restaurants within walking distance. Staff were friendly and efficient. Free wired internet in rooms was fast. Rather old rooms, and a little noise from the street.

Staff was helpful regarding information about the city, as far as they understood. I was promised an extension of my stay for the same price. Next day the reception refused it. I checked out, and I shall not return. Most of the reception staff cannot understand basic English, nor Spanish, nor 'Portanhol'. They are therefore not suitable for a 4-star hotel in Brazil's key business city.

The Itaim Bibi neighborhood is safe and lively. Plenty of good restaurants to eat and drink at. The hotel staff was absolutely appalling, though. I was shocked at how rude someone who voluntarily works in the service industry could be, especially when it seemed due to the fact that I was speaking English. Hello, you are a clerk at an international hotel, in an international city! What do they expect? One woman, though, came from the back and kindly assisted me. She gets 5 stars. The rest of them, rude, unprofessional, and singlehandedly assured that I will never stay here or recommend it to anyone ever again. This hotel is disgusting. Giant, black stains all over my carpet. Not clean at all. The pictures aim to trick you! No air conditioning, the room was stuffy and hot. I had to leave the balcony open at all times, just to breathe. With warm weather outside, it meant I was never fully comfortable. The people at the front desk made me feel like I was a problem because they didn't speak English. So rude, acted like they didn't want to help customers. I don't require tons of attention and service, just courteous behavior as anyone would expect. Not available here. No hotel information in room. No idea how to get laundry done, use internet, hotel services directory. Nothing. This place is a complete joke. Breakfast was disgusting, too.
hotel was well located in the center, clean rooms good breakfast but we had an issue about the airport transfer. they indicate that they have airport transfer but then they charge you 100brl for the transfer. they charge for airport transfer even if its not indicated on the hotel details.

Clean, fare, good breakfast with fresh fruits. Being a flat it has separated bedroom and living room and a I missed an air conditioned in the living room an a microwave oven. Really weird eggs int the breakfast.

Clean hotel with good facilities Expensive, with charges for everything. Local calls were very expensive. I was charged more than $50 for a few local phone calls. Most expensive I have seen across the globe.
They only have internet at 64K. If you want more bandwidht you have to pay R$30 per day for 512K.

This is a modern, international hotel with english-speaking staff. Our room was spacious although the toilet/shower area was quite small. Breakfast was very good with superb fresh fruit and a mix of cold and hot meats etc. Staff were invariably helpful. We found that there wasn't enough storage space in the room. We were, however, in the hotel for 7 nights so we came with quite a lot to store.
Modern hotel, in upmarket, safe, area of S.P. Twenty-plus floors with good gym and pool on the roof. Good facilities in room and balcony (only up to tenth floor). Powerful shower, comfy bed, good breakfast with short-order cook on eggs, waffles and pancakes. Plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance. This could just be me, but I got more mossie bits in one night at the hotel than in the 10 previous days all round Sao Paulo and Rio states...despite my "jungle strength" spray! Beware!
Location, friendliness of local staff, ositive general atmosphere. There should be more brochures,magazines, books on tourism attractions and what to do in Sao Paulo. There were none available in rooms or lobby. Staff should be better informed of addresses (restaurants, coiffeurs, etc).

Best possible location two blocks from Paulista and the MASP metro stop. You need to be near a Metro in SP because taxis could get caught in traffic jams. Everything about his property is first rate--a true 4 star. Also, a spectacular breakfast space. There is nothing to dislike. It's the best possible place to stay in SP--and the price is right!

The breakfast was good, the live music and bar were very nice, the staff was very attentive. Check in time of 2:00 PM is very late. Check out time of 12:00 PM is very early. Wireless internet access should be free like most hotels in the US.

the receptionist speaks fluent english and is very helpfull . The location is perfect, only 5 minutes walk to Av.Paulista . The hotelrooms are large and clean. The restaurant is very good. we were in the hotel during the winter and the breakfast room inside is not large enough for all guests, so we had to sit outside in the garden, which was cold and not comfortable.

They had an English speaking staff member who was very helpful!! The location was very convenient, a few blocks from Metro and MASP museum. Nice neighborhood restaurants also including Subway and Domino's Pizza all within walking distance. The room was very clean, roomy, had cable TV, the bed pretty comfortable, had a desk area, overall very nice for the price, would stay again!!! Also the breakfast buffet was very good and plenty to eat! No complaints at all!

The hotel is nice, staff very eficient and speak good English. There is a nice night club with good music in the 4th floor. My room was a bit small and next to the elevator. Bathrooms are clean but need refreshment. Beside the most known national spirit and beer there was no other alcohol in the fridge. There was not breakfast in the quite high price. I would recomend this hotel for those who have to stay next to the WTC and if there is a good DJ in the club at 4th floor.
The room was very nice indeed. Bathroom was spacious and well decorated. Lush carpet throughout, and an extremely comfortable bed, with an excellent view. Most staff were extremely friendly. We arrived at the hotel on saturday looking to relax by the pool, and this was constantly disturbed by an endless stream of labourers moving through the pool area preparing the night club for an evet that evening. (No trade entrance???) my girlfriend couldn't even swim. The hotel dining room is limited and is vaguely seperated from the hotel reception area. We were also made to wait for a long time before recieving any attention at the reception desk relating to queries. We were also expecting to use the Club A nightclub, but were told it was closed for a private function, very dissappointing.
