Pros (+) Astoria Capsis is located in the heart of Heraklion near major sites and shopping opportunities. You can easily walk to a lot of archaeological sites like the former fortress docks & harbours. There are a lot places to eat and shopping close by.
Cons (-) No fitness center for exercise. There weren't a lot of choice for their breakfast. Can be noisy. My room had a noticeable sway for no apparent reason, possibly the foundation of the building was not stable.
Pros (+) The location is with walking distance of the port, bus station, and local attractions. The staff was helpful in arranging an extra night there, and they were helpful in every way.
Cons (-) The bed was not as soft as I need with a sore back, but the room had lots of extra pillows.
