Was close to airport and port , liked the pool and clean breakfast area
fresh ,clean, very nice, fairly new well keep.Breakfast was a plus too
My delayed flight arrived in the wee hours of the morning but they cheerfully sent a shuttle for me even though shuttle hours were technically over. Nice people and great service. This is why I stay at La Quinta Inns.
Needs remodeling, new rugs or tiles, new beds. The staff and the breakfast service are very good.
We stayed at this hotel 1 night after our cruise. Got a good deal booking. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They even made phone call to Everglades to get info for us to go see alligator shows. We love the free shuttle from and to airport. Breakfast is ok including bagels, cereal, fruit. Waffel maker is a bonus. Hotel location is close to restaurant/stores. Will stay again.
The hotel was old , the toilet and sink had to be repaired and the refrigerator wasn't working. The ice maker was broken on the 6th floor.
The room was clean. That's the only positive. The toliet was broken and the stopper in the sink was broke. We thought we were getting a 3 star hotel and ennded up in a 1 star or less.
We arrived at the airport 9pm and the complimentary shuttle had just left the airport and would be 45 minutes before it would return, so the desk clerk told us to take a cab so they didn't want us to wait - they payed including tip. Room was clean, comfortable king bed, (great pillows). The staff was the greatest - most helpful the next day in giving us directions to bus stop, shopping, where to go downtown. Breakfast was the usual fare, did have fresh baked waffles, cereal, muffins, rolls, hard-boiled eggs, fruit - good - free USAToday was nice. TV, microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator in room. Shuttle to cruise port was a plus. (The main reason we stayed was the shuttle) we didn't have to rent a car. They are ready for cruise day with a 19 passenger van pulling a trailer for luggage. Only drawback would be if you were not willing or able to walk and did not have a car. Any restaurants were about 1/2 mile, but we didn't mind. Oakwood shopping was nearby with restaurants and stores. We plan to go back to Ft Lauderdale sometime and this would be our choice of a place to say. Don't hesitate!!!
Had to pick friends up at the airport and this was a pleasant surprise. Very nice place. Wasn't there too long, but would stay again.
Stayed 3 nights - convenient airport 24 hr. transportation. Decent breakfast selection. Room had burn on carpet. Mold in bathroom. Swimming pool had many tiles missing around the sides and cracks in the side - warm water though. Outside pool tables were never clean. Overall we would stay elsewhere if comparable airport service. Expected cleaner, nicer facilities for the price paid.
The rooms a little worn but kept clean. The front desk staff was great very attentive. The pool was terrible the hot tub was hot but dirty and it did not work. The pool was clean enough but the bottom cement was all chipping off, cut your feet while walking around. I would stay again because of the location was in walking distance to food and the mall, but would not stay there if traveling with family.
chose this location for access to airport/cruiseport and transportation. impressed that upon watching their courtesy van drive right on by us, i phoned front desk and was told to grab a cab and they would pay the tab. also, the room was very clean and updated, nice lobby. with all the cruisers that come through their doors, they do a pretty good job for the price. would use again next year prior to cruise even though one of their two elevators was not in service.
Im sorry for those of you who do not know what is to stay at a HOTEL , like my LAQUINTA i been staying at this hotel for the past three years, i always come with my friends to stay or my family, and we stayed at this particular place with my friends cuz we were going to a cruise and it was fantastic! the front desk was corteous and friendly and me my boyfriend and friends were on the same floor at the hotel, breakfast was good! and better said CRUISE HOTEL!!!!!!!!!! < the best part yall !!! they drop you off at port everglades and then u go to take the cruise on the terminals! it was a wonderfull stay! .... and for you that complain about so small things, like no pillows on couch and headaches! please! u came at a hotel to have fun with friends and familly! and not to take it with front desk or small things like that, in my case if i see no pillows on da couch or windows getting stuck ,,,, wut da ! u came to have fun!! i dont care about those few things that are not important, im not getting headache for small things like those ^^^ :-) BE HAPPY!
Very nice place to stay, but alot more expensive than the other area La Quinta Inns in the Ft. Lauderdale area. This isn't the Diplomat! Desk staff can be slightly rude at times and the breakfast attendant tends to be alittle short as well. Have stayed here several times over the last two years.
We stayed in a suite which was lovely except for a few minor things. No pillows for my grandson and it took 5-6 hours to get him a blanket. No safe...odd for a suite. 2 rooms and bath shared 1 garbage pail. I'd still recommemd this hotel as it was neat and quiet.
Got in late from 2 evening flights, had booked non-smoking room ''we can't guarantee that, hotel fully booked'' they said later, the room reeked, windows didn't open, toilet ran all night. Did get a small discount for headaches, but still pricey. Shuttle staff very nice and prompt, brkfst good, bed comfy, location in Oakwood Mall good.
