The island is absolutely magnificent. The porch off of our room was an incredible place to enjoy the ambience of the island and the place. The staff was very friendly, had helpful advice and were very available. We felt like a welcomed guest at the hotel and on the island. Really a charming get away!
Pros: Beautifully redecorated 'mansion'. An authentic feel that made us feel a part of the island for the time we were there.
Excellent, welcoming young staff at the hotel, carefully presented rooms with simple yet nice amenities (opened on July 2012, so bathrooms are very modern in white marble with wood floors), Korres toiletries, soft colors, etc. Nice breakfast patio at the rear of the house and other outdoor balconies to share. The hotel is a little away from the port on a quiet street, so there is little noise from people passing by. Very, very nice!
Pros: Beautiful, restored mansion with just a few rooms/suites and a lovely balcony looking over the town toward the sea and mountains. Everything is tastefully decorated, with nineteenth-century antiques throughout the public spaces.

Pros: Calm hotel in a beautiful setting. Fantastic breakfast.
Cons: Very small bathroom for a "superior" room. High price in comparison with the standing of the hotel.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great.
Cons: Mattresses in all the hotels we stayed in were very hard. We are accustom to a softer mattress.

Cons: Price - 150 euro per night in Sepember - may have been a little steep during these times.
Pros: Wonderful place and breakfast, clean rooms
Pros: Great location, exceptionally clean & comfortable with really friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: As their are no cars & the hotel is up a hill on a cobbled street, it would not be suitable for the severly diabled or people with health issues.
Pros: The Owners Jenny and Theofilo we great hosts and the staff friendly and willing to accomodate our needs perfectly. Wonderful and delicious breakfast included in the room rate. Best brewed coffee in Greece. As you know many places make terrible American - French style coffee, but nat at the Mistral. Location of hotel is central to the town of Hydra.
Pros: Pleasantly furnished throughout. Good breakfast. Friendly but not over-familiar staff.
Pros: Mistral Hotel was a pleasant surprise. We went with my husband for a quiet weekend and found much more. With excellent, friendly staff, a warm quaint hotel, excellent breakfast and peaceful. We would recommend it to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a taste of island life, with real value for money. The owners especially made us feel like we were old friends. Enjoy your visit to Hydra with a stay at Leto Hotel. Guests can visit the spa to be pampered with deep-tissue massages, facials, or body treatments. A bar/lounge and a fitness center are other highlights, and rooms at this luxurious hotel offer up nice touches like espresso makers and pillow menus.
Pros: The room was beautiful; right out of a Martha Stewart episode. and the location was quiet, out of the way, but still central enough for a 2 minute walk to the harbor. perfect.
Pros: The warmth of the room, the coziness, and the location!!!
Cons: More practical bathroom and a welcome drink-even a cold bottle of water-for the guests would be a nice gesture!!!!!
Pros: Good location, quiet area but very close to the town centre. Nicely decorated and clean room, balcony
Cons: Air conditioning wasn't working, but I suppose they have fixed it by now.
Pros: I liked the small front patio in the early morning, sipping Nescafe and watching the locals walking up and down the small road on which the guesthouse fronted.
Pros: Absolutely charming guesthouse with very very helpful staff. Located a short walk from the port, it's quiet - almost idyllic. The hotel has a lovely garden with lemon trees and gorgeous flowers.
Cons: If you like soft pillowtop beds, this isn't the place for you.
Pros: Well-designed and cute rooms, personal touch, comfortable bed, nicely located in a quiet area not very far from the port resulting in an overall very good price/quality ratio. Congratulations to Yannis, the guesthouse owner, for his personal touch and care in the rooms design as well as for his willingness to provide any advice and help. We will certainly come back.

Pros: The location 150 m from the port, the building itsself (old captain house) , the history of the building and the forthcoming people serving
Pros: Loved the location, not right on the busy port, but not too far away from the center of town. Also loved the building, an old Hydriot mansion, and its front garden. Finally, I found the staff extremely helpful, friendly, and good-spirited.
Cons: I think that the breakfast served could do with an update, even within a tight budget. Also the cleanliness, could do with a little more attention to detail. But then again, I am a very-detailed oriented person, so I guess I can see a lot of things as a housewife, that other people cannot.
Pros: Beautiful old grand residence. Spotless. Competent and efficient front desk. Nice big rooms with very high classic- style ceilings. Right in the centre and 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal and dozens of restaurants.Perfect location
Cons: Everything was just fine. The ideal location and facility
Pros: There was a nice buffet breakfast that could be eaten in their lovely courtyard.
Pros: The hotel has a beautiful courtyard in the front where we had breakfast every morning. The room was standard but clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the location is unbeatable!
Pros: Good situated hotel with charming common areas and beautiful yard. Our room was large and clean, but quite dark and old-fashioned.
Cons: The breakfast was quite poor.
Pros: Great interior design, central location, always clean room
Cons: They should have better breakfast buffet ( it was really poor) and they should consider renovating the bathroom ( roasted tabs and metal parts) as well as buying new towels ( they were clean but extremely hard)
Pros: The courtyard was very charming as were the common areas. The staff was very friendly. The view from my room was beautiful and at times lively (but the shutters were effective in blocking the noise when I wanted to sleep).
Cons: There was no overhead shower mount -- it's kind of hard to take a shower with only one hand free since you're holding the sprayer.
Pros: A nice charming hotel situated in a quite part of the town of Hydra. It is in a 100 metres walking distance from the old port of Hydra. An old mansion renovated with its tranditional style well preserved. Most importantly, to reach there, there are no steps to climb. I strongly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Rooms' interior is not as charming as the rest of the common areas of the building. Yet they are quiet and clean.
Pros: Beautiful building with a nice courtyard. Great location, quiet, clean and close to the bustling Hydra harbour.
Cons: Rather spartan, poor breakfast.

Pros: Peaceful. Nice roof terrace. Easy walk from harbour
Cons: Bed so hard my back ached!
Pros: The hotel was very clean and very convenient as it was near the port, the shops/restaurants and the seaside. Also, in spite of being near bars and restaurants, it was very quiet. Quite good breakfast.
Cons: Breakfast was always the same. The staff, though efficient and polite, strictly anwered my questions with a "yes" or a "no" without barely adding anything more. Didn't explain better how things worked in Hydra nor suggested restaurants or things to see. They didn't look like Greeks in this respect! Perhaps it was a language problem, things got better towards the end of the holiday.
Pros: The location was very good in the center. The room was clean and comfort and was very value for money. But it was bad that we couldnt use cretitcard to pay for the room.
Pros: Close promixity to water/harbour.Good location
Cons: slightly expensive and Credit Card accepted, allegedly because the machine as not working, though suspect just prefered cash.
Pros: The staff is great, but that's the only good thing about this hotel
Cons: We had a room without a window!!! This is totally unexeptable. The room look like a prison cell. avoid this hotel. 100 eur for a room without a window?!
Pros: Very pleasant, comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean and a pretty little terrace area to sit on.
Cons: It did not accept credit cards
Pros: Very clean and great location
Cons: Didn't get told when and where breakfast was
Pros: Simple and quiet
Cons: The staff spoke no English. No sattelite T V I was surprised that they did not accept credit cards
Pros: well situated in a very attractive town. Quiet yet very close to centre. Nice outside area to read, have drinks. Good breakfast.
Cons: room a bit small. Rather overpriced considering the facilities - although this tends to be true of Greek hotels in many locations in our experience.
Cons: I could not pay with my credit card, had to withdraw cash and return to the hotel again.

We had a great time on the Island of Hydra and loved Phaedra Hotel! The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked great which is a huge plus considering the temp there! The hotel is run by Hilda who is wonderful and gave great suggestions on what to do and see daily on the Island. She set my group up on a private donkey tour of the Island which was beauitful! I would love to stay here and visit the Island again!

The hostess, Tina stayed late the evening of our arrival as we were on the last trip of the flying cat. She recognized us and greeted us warmly. It was like coming home. Our room had great space for three people with a table and chairs on the balcony for morning coffee and sunset drinks while relaxing. Plenty of hot water for three showers and clean towels each day. Loved our time here and will return again.
Pros: The room was charming as was the hostess. Our quaint balcony had a view of the harbor and we could watch the people starting their morning with the donkey caravans laiden with goods for places up the thousands of steps of this town. Wonderful.
Pros: View, balcony, location, tranquility
Cons: The ventilation in the bathroom.
