The man who owns this inn is a very caring and diligent guy! When I first got to the property, he came off as a bit grumpy, stern, and overbearing. My predisposition was also influenced by reviews I had read on this website, but this quickly changed as I got to know him better. He went out of his way on multiple occasions to make me feel at home and even well-fed! Others said he has too many rules, but I saw that he was more so making sure guests could all live in a clean and practical way. He cares about the inn and keeps everything in a clean and functional state. It's only natural that he would want guests to help keep it that way. The inn is a little less than a 5 minute walk from the most popular sand onsen. There is a lovely walk way right along the beach that you can take there as well! I recommend bringing a couple towels with you so you don't have to pay the 200JPY towel fee at the onsen if you want to rent them.
Parking is 500JPY cash for anyone with a car, even if you tell him in advance. There are also a very limited number of parking spots on the premises so if you have a bigger group with multiple cars, make sure you let him know ahead of time!!
Everything was just perfect
Very friendly host (with some rules) Very helpful Goodlocation (close to the famous 'Sand Bath' )
The place is generally clean. For a day stay is alright.
The owner was not grumbling in Japanese which made me very not pleasant and comfortable. There are many many house rules! The owner keeps checking on us when we were in the house.
- great facility - very tidy - owner was quite helpful and spoke good English - cols mineral tub in bathroom
- quite a walk from the station but close to spa area - owner was helpful but had too many rules for literally everything - makes you feel stupid, runs through his rulebook and repeats it - bathing only between 5pm and midnight
