Pros: Fantastic breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Property refurbished to a high standard and great food!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a very comfortable hotel, the staff are always pleasant, the rooms spacious and comfortable, bathroom excellent and there is a dedicated room for bicycles. I've visited this hotel several times before and always been very satisfied. On previous occasions I have very much enjoyed eating in the restaurant in the hotel. On this occasion I went on a Monday and was told on arrival that the restaurant was closed that evening (because it was Monday) and that every other restaurant in Isaba was closed too (because it was Monday). However, the manager would drive me and other guests to the restaurant of a campsite at nearby Garde. This is what occurred and the manager did take care to ensure we were properly looked after and the food and service were very agreeable and he came to pick us up promptly. I will probably, however, try to avoid Mondays for subsequent visits as the hotel restaurant was always one of the attractions.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the welcome, the food, the enormous room, the vast bed and the bicycle storage facilities. Many hotels have somewhere to put bikes but this has a dedicated cycle room complete with pump and tools.
Cons: The towels were strangely non absorbent (though plenty of them so not a great problem)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It happens not very often, but this stay is something I will remember with gratitude for many years. I have never experienced a more successful renovation of an traditional country house bringing it up to modern nordic(!) standards but without sacrificing the traditional Basque 'look and feel'. And the way we were received was absolutely delightful and the talks around the homemade breakfasts was very becoming. A very deep felt thank you for a wonderful stay!
Cons: Absolutely nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Staff welcoming - service excellent.
Cons: N/A. Excellent as it was
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The lady was very friendly and served a good breakfast.
Cons: At June 11th there were only 2 restaurants open in Isaba. One was completed and the other one (Azpirotz) has a very impolite owner. There was space enough in his restaurant but when I requested for a table his only shouted words were "mange impossible" !!!! Without an explanation! Very unmannered behavior! This has nothing to do with the hotel but I only want to warn other travelers!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is located on a small street off the main road. There is a huge car park near the hotel for vehicles. The hotel itself is small but cosy. Rooms are traditional and while nothing special, have everything you need. The staff are excellent - lady at the front desk and in the restaurant is very friendly. Restaurant also had very nice food for both dinner and breakfast. If you’re travelling by motorcycle, Isaba is on a fantastic road.
Cons: Very little - if nitpicking, the bathroom could do with being updated and there is no air con (likely because it’s normally cool)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Really nice staff - competent and friendly. Excellent restaurant. Quiet location at the heart of the village.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owner. Quality of breakfast (cheese, meats, yogurt etc except for orange juice) was very good.
Cons: All bathrooms have a shower inside a bath so need renovating. Dinner (which we had organised 7 months in advance with our booking) never took place because the restaurant was closed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view from the window. Helpful staff
7.0 Good
Pros: The location (Isaba) is incredibly beautiful if you are going to do some trekking in the mountains around. The property is clean and the hotel staff is polite.
Cons: Breakfast in the hotel is ok but there is not a great choice for being called 'buffet'. The beds are not specially comfortable.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, not expensive
Cons: Phone numbers did not work so could not rservevrestaurant for dinner which was full when we arrived so had to go to the nExt town to eat.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We had booked this hostal because we had eaten in the restaurant on our last visit. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open until later in the year it took the edge off our stay at first. We were recommended another restaurant which was excellent and the breakfast was very good which helped save the experience.
Cons: Not being able to have the dinner we so looked forward to.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, good parking nearby and an interesting town- yes a good stop.
