Pros: The hotel was really accommodating. The staff were really friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. There were always drinks available and fresh water available. The spa and beauty was good value for money. The rooms were big.
Cons: The staff couldn’t speak a great deal of English which made it awkward and slow to get anything done. We struggled with noisy neighbours and had to ask reception to tell them to turn their music down. We could also smell a great deal of cigarette smoke in our room, I think it was located near the smoking sections. We also booked an apartment through booking.com but didn’t get that room, we got given a king size standard room instead, so that was disappointing. Also, the food labels were in Russian / Kazakh so we didn’t know what the stuff were, it was a guessing game. When we arrived we only had 1 towel between 2 of us aswell.

Pros: From outside it's beautiful, inside it's still very nice ! I had a very large room, with confortable bed, nice bathroom and good wifi. Breakfast offers reasonnable choice. The place is very clean. Staff is outstanding. I dealt during 2 days with Marina, who speaks very good english. She arranged my trip to Dolinka and did everything to make my stay confortable.
Cons: It's a little bit far from city center, but buses or taxis are cheap. And you still can walk.

Pros: The hotel is in a great location by the park. The kids enjoyed the playground. The restaurant atmosphere (except for the TV's) was very nice. We arrived very early; they stored our luggage for us and let us in the room 1 hour early.
Cons: Although we paid for a four person room, they only allowed two free breakfasts a morning. The hallway to our room rarely had the lights on. Pillow cases had large tears in them. We stayed 5 nights but they never provided room cleaning; we took out our own trash and cleaned. No way to heat water for tea/coffee in the room.

Pros: The location of the hotel is very convenient - it's not far from the central part of the city and at the same time it's very quiet place in the middle of the park area. The interior of the hotel is beautiful, you should see it's cozy dining area! The room was spacious and clean. It was a bit stuffy inside, but the windows can be opened easily. I was pleased to see all the necessary hygiene products in bathroom.
Cons: The food wasn't as good. I was offered several options and I chose Russian breakfast which includes syrniki, olad'i and bliny with sour cream and condensed milk. Syrniki and olad'i were overfried and super grease. Coffee was ok. Waiting time was about 20 mins which I consider a lot. Service was quite poor, the waiter kept forgetting to bring water/utensils/napkins. He was a nice young guy, I just think he was not taught what the good service is. The lady at the reception was not friendly at all, but that's very common, just be ready to face it.

The location was convenient for our purpose of stay (we came to city for friend’s wedding). If we were to travel to Karaganda again, we would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was offered by menu, it was tasty and well-served. There are several options for breakfast in menu: continental, French, American, Russian, oriental etc.

It's a really nice Russian style hotel, which we really enljoyed. Moreover, it is not that expensive. Gonna book this hotel during my next stay if I come to Karaganda some day in future.
Cons: Since we went to Karaganda in late November, which is usually a cold season in Kazakhstan, it was a bit cold in the room though I tried to cover myself up with the blanket and extra clothes. They made a couple of typos in the invoice we asked for... However, they deeply apologized and quickly prepared another one for us.

Pros: This is a formerly Soviet hotel that was clearly built for entertaining important guests. The junior suite I had was huge and rooms like the morning room (3 stories high!) were beautiful and a great place to sit and read in the morning. The breakfast was good, if unexceptional; however, in good weather there is a nice terrace outside the breakfast room surrounded by the hotel's own grounds. The hotel is also directly adjacent to Central Park which makes it quiet and very pleasant, especially in warm weather. Many of the staff were very welcoming and helpful, a couple though at the front desk couldn't be bothered to ever look up from their phones. But generally a good experience with the front desk and restaurant staff.
Cons: Although the bathrooms had been renovated, the drainage in the shower was a problem. Also, the furniture was very old fashioned (but oddly suitable for the hotel) and obviously had been very nice when the room was originally furnished, but the carpet also looked original and needed to be replaced. Also, the bed was beautiful, but the mattress was very hard ... not a problem for me as I prefer it that way, but it could be an issue for some people. I think the biggest issue though was that over half of the grounds was off limits, even to guests, and unfortunately those were the prettiest parts of the grounds with benches and gazebos where one could sit and read.

I believed the check out must be more or less standard (i.e. 12:00 midday) if other is not specified. I was surprised to get phone call from reception with the question Am I ready to check out at 1:00 in the midnight. I forced to pay one more day just to stay till the morning. The direct question for which exact factual reason this info was not presented at the website, simply left unanswered. After return I checked my bank and found out the Hotel charged my creditcard using unfair exchange rate. It is just few percents difference with common exchange rate for that days but it still looking unpleasant.

Pros: This is a very big complex in a green neighborhood next to the central park. Our rooms were in a new small building next to the main one. Rooms are new, clean and very spacious with air conditioning, hairdryer, fridge, tv. We really liked them. Breakfast was in the main building, a good one with coffee, pancakes, cinnamon buns, cheese, vegetables, etc.
Cons: Breakfast was supposed to be at 7:00 but it wasn’t ready yet at that time and the service was a little bit messy.

Cons: Almost everything. The room is very poorly maintained. Holes through the walls are everywhere. The flour and the walls are disgustingly dirty. Room service is almost absent- for two or three days nobody has visited the room to clean it. The bathroom is old and dirty. The toilet is not stable!!!

On arrival they forgot to meet me at the airport. We cann`t print documents because we don`t have paper in printer - ??? it is in hotel 4 stars. Restoran service level and food quality is not matching with hotel (4****) standard.
