Occupying a prime location in Murchison Falls National Park and only 272km from Kampala, Chobe Safari Lodge is the perfect bush retreat for a quick getaway from Kampala or the beginning of a longer adventure. Chobe Safari Lodge was originally constructed in the 1950s and at that time was one of the jewels in Ugandas crown of tourism destinations. The panoramic views of the magnificent River Nile provide a sampling of the beauty of Uganda, coupled with the ample wildlife, birds, flora and fauna. Following decades of being abandoned, the newly refurbished and restored Chobe Safari Lodge exudes elegance and energy once again. The property boasts lovely architecture and interior design. The Victoria Nile is the main focus and all the rooms and luxury tents have balconies or terraces facing the magnificent sweeping views. Even the 3-tier swimming pool, spa and gym have panoramic views of the river.Murchison Falls National Park is the largest National Park in Uganda. Years of isolation from human contact in this area of the park, has resulted in an abundance of wildlife with new safari circuits in the vicinity of the Lodge.
Pros: View is spectacular
Pros: The scenary was breath taking. The food was always served hot and tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Generally the place was clean. Loved seeing the animals on location.
Cons: On the first day, you have to be there by 7pm or else you get locked out of Murchison park which is an entrance to Chobe. The facilities were just okay; not sure i got value for money. Had to pay 20,000 UGX for every nyt at Chobe to Uganda Wildlife which wasnt mentioned on Bookings.com. Limited choice in menu. Pool wasnt too clean. No wifi in rooms.
Pros: the great view, the location, the wildlife around the area, friendly staff ..
Cons: no aircon in the room; didn't have comfortable sleep ..
Pros: Great rooms, nice balcony, fantastic view, very friendly staff
Cons: Don't take the "back-road" through the park from Paraa lodge unless you know how to drive a 4x4 properly, and be prepared for some challenges as the road is blocked a few times.
Pros: The pool is beautiful. The dining room and food was great. Bathroom pretty old and not clean
Cons: Wasnt good value for the money Definitely not the standard i was expecting for the price. Pool bar Service not terribl
Pros: Customer Care Quietness is Perfect Cleanliness
Cons: The Facility isn't fully Installed with Cameras. I felt Insecure Guests aren't Checked at the Entrance. I felt Insecure The Room had a door which which leads to another Room which I found not Locked at the time of Check-in . I felt Insecure
Pros: Access to wildlife
Cons: No WiFi , unexpected and high daily entry fees to the national park.
Pros: Spectacular view and great food !
Cons: Entrance fee
Cons: Can't explain it but didn't actually get value for money I paid, 594 dollars a night for the Nile suite n I didn't even have a telephone n poor response from customer service... It wasn't proper, can't explain it all but was disappointed n almost asked for a refund if not so some extra nights to atlst make it more days to fit the money I paid
Pros: This resort/lodge is beyond magnificent. This is nothing like any hotel in Uganda. The decor, hospitality, I mean I can go on and on. I can see why Kanye West and Kim Kardashian went here. So so worth it. Be prepared to enjoy sunset views, watch hippos swim and lounge with monkeys! You won’t regret any $ you spend.
Cons: The food is on the average side. It can use true African seasoning. That being said, they have a lot of variety.
