This place is a true slice of paradise! At 1h30 drive and a short boat ride from Kota Kinabalu, it's well worth the journey to enjoy a few days here. We did several 'Discovery' scuba dives with an excellent instructor and had loads of fun exploring the reefs, that were literally teeming with tropical fish. Afternoons were spent dozing in the hammock, or drinking a beer at the restaurant, or just having a dip in the sea. The bedrooms (we stayed in one of the little bungalows) are fairly basic but nicely decorated and clean. To be honest the surroundings are so beautiful that you don't need 5star accommodation here. The food served at the restaurant morning, noon and evening is really tasty, and the staff very friendly. If you're looking to enjoy some premium Borneo coastline, off the beaten track, and do some diving, this is the place you're looking for :)

Good value as it includes three meals. Being at the island and sitting in the hammock was very relaxing but not a lot to do so bring a book. The fan was much needed during the evening - worked well and not noisy. We book snorkeling excursion for 3 hours with the staff. Lots of fish at the island. You can also rent kayak to go out to the island. On a clear day you can see Mt. Kinabalu.
This beach area had lots of seaweed so bit difficult to go swimming during low tide. If you wear beach sandals to walk into the ocean during low tide you can manage. Bit of a steep walk up to the huts so if you have mobility issues this is not the best place to stay.

Food was delicious, location amazing, absolute highlight of the borneo, amazing clear blue water, we are not divers but highly recommend paying for snorkelling trip as it was highlight of the trip.
