Pros: They allowed us to hang around the pool while we waited for our room. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was really soft and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The location was walking distance to the malecon, but not close enough to get all the noise.
Cons: The bed was almost too soft.

Pros: The hosts were very accomodating especially with my husband's dietary needs. They really went above our expectations to serve breakfasts that he could eat and everything was prepared & served beautifully. They also contacted us ahead of time to let us know about a snorkeling tour with Ecobaja Tours & offered to book it for us. The tour was an amazing way to see & learn about the area with knowledgeable guides. .

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Super nice and friendly owners. The Breakfast was amazing!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For my husband and me, this was a home away from home. Silvana and Iacopo welcome their guests with an espresso (which for an Italian like myself is a mirage after a long flight). They are happy to provide suggestions for the beaches, the best excursions according to the season, and the restaurants in La Paz and its surroundings. Iacopo’s breakfast is a 5-star feast that we now miss as much as the beautiful beaches of Baja. This cosy and colorful b&b is located in a tranquil neighborhood and it’s within walking distance from the malecon. We’ll be back soon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic B&B. Just about perfect, offering everything you could want. The room was spotless, the host was friendly and informative, and it exceeded our expectations by some way. To top it off, the breakfast was perhaps the best I have ever had. It was a work of art and we felt individually catered for. We’re back in La Paz next week and, if it’s available I know where we will be staying.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Silvia, the owner was very gracious. The book of nearby recommendations would gave been very helpful if I had the time to spend there.

Pros: We loved the rooftop.. the Pool area was amazing, we really enjoy that part plus the breakfast..
Cons: There was a really bad odor at our room, we let the staff know about it but they didn’t find out what it was at the first time, we asked for another room as the odor was terrible, but they said there was no more rooms available.. luckily they found out the second time they checked and could fix the inconvenient.. Also the beds are very hard. We kind of had back pain the next day.. other than that everything went ok.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a really nice hostel. The beds are very comfortable. It also had a really nice vibe. All the staff/ guests were friendly but not a loud crazy party. The communal spaces are really great for meeting other travelers.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It's a super cosy, small little place that made me feel at home. Great staff and guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, good breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Best hostel in town! The hostel is clean and quiet, close to the touristic area. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds. What I love the most was surely the vibe of the place, Sergio and the volunteers did their best to make me feel at home! They even took us to skorkel and visit playa Balandra, it was an amazing experience!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: That hostel was lovely. The staff and volunteers are incredibly friendly and make you feel at home, the beds are super comfortable (never had a bed that comfortable in all the hostel I visited in my life), great AC that you control, the breakfast is simple but really does the job, the wifi is strong most of the time, access to drinkable water and the kitchen facilities at all time, nice comon area to meet people... really that was perfect ! It's a chill place to socialize and have fun without being crazy party and loud (which was perfect for me) Thanks again !!
Cons: The only little thing is that there is not a lot of pressure in the showers. Also, it's a 15 minute walk from the center where theres a lot of restaurants and stuff, so a little bit out of center but still fine !
5.0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was standard but the coffee was good. They did nothing new or interesting which is great for those looking for bland food and the standard hostel experience. The staff didn't steal from me and most of them are mentally healthy while some are sweet and helpful.
Cons: Some of the staff are mentally ill and in need of psychological help. With less than 17 hours left on my stay, one of the staff refused to lower the music blasting from a speaker six feet from my window (I could hear the music in the back yard) and refused to take my laundry to be cleaned (a service offered by the hostel). I threatened to contact booking.com and she called the owner. During the call, she insulted me and blamed her reaction to my actions. All she did was kill about 30 min of the owners time and chase me around the hostel into the bathroom then back into my dorm where I locked the door. I had to go to a competitor and received a refund from the hostel. All the owner cared about was his lost time and a potentially bad review. I recorded all of this on my phone and anyone can see the A/V of what happened. Also, 'Get the Gringo' is a common game in the area and foreigners ought to be careful and vigilant. I got taken by the locals almost every day (50/500 scams and serving bad food at full price).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This place is clean and quiet. The staff are helpful.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff! It was so perfect <3 I recommend Close to the malecon street, cute, clean, comfortable and with AC in the dorms

Pros: The location is excellent, the ambience of the B&B is lovely and the authentic Mexican breakfast was delicious!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous breakfasts. Rooftop terrace with great views. Stand up paddle board from the beach out the back doorway. Leanne was a wealth of info for activities, restaurants, transportation, etc. Location is a quick, easy drive (or cheap Uber) to Malecón.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owner was wonderful. Has been very helpful also her parents. Great Recommendations for meals
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a gem! This gorgeous hideaway right on the water is a bit outside of town- and that’s fantastic! It’s so quiet and private and now with Uber in La Paz it was a $2 ride into the heart of town! The bed was so comfortable I lifted the sheets to see the brand!
Cons: I loved it all!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Leeanne is a fantastic host with great culinary skills, great local knowledge and fantastic vibes. The location fronts on the water in a quiet neighborhood a little off the beaten path, but still plenty close to the center of La Paz. The sweeping views of the bay from the rooftop are a fantastic way to enjoy dawn and dusk.
Cons: I wouldn't change a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Leanne prepared every day a different kind of breakfast with a lot if varieties. She was a wonderful host and we felt like a small family. The pool was clean and refreshing and the view from the upper terrace was breathtaking.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly atmosphere but professional at the same time. Room was very clean, breakfast was excellent and we received helpful information about restaurants and local sightseeing.
Cons: Unfortunately the last night there was a party at the property close to Casa Kootenay. Music at a very high volume until very late in the night. Of course that was not under responsibility of Casa Kootenay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is only two kms from the malecon, and is beachfront. The neighbourhood is lovely and safe. It is completely private from the road, and has a beautiful, cozy pool and garden area. There is a roof top terrace facing the beach where we enjoyed a glass of wine and sunsets. Because it’s slightly away from the Malecon, it’s very quiet at night. The four rooms are large, beds are comfortable, and it is all super clean And well maintained. The delicious breakfasts are served in the family dining room, family style. A different breakfast was served every morning. The owner/host (LeeAnn) went out of her way to help us book excursions, and gave us great restaurant recommendations. She is from the Kootenays in BC, Canada and speaks both English and Spanish.
Cons: We had to leave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great experience! The hosts went above and beyond to make sure our brief stay was enjoyable. The breakfast provided was amazing. The location was convenient for a wide variety of activities.
La Posada Del Tepeyac - La Paz - Pool
7
9.5 Excellent (29 reviews)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The host Olivia was wonderful! She was very friendly, lovely to talk to and made us delicious breakfasts throughout our stay:) she even surprised me with a cake on my birthday!
6.3 Good
Pros: The garden was lovely. The hostess,Olivia, tried to accommodate our requests. Her cooking was superb and she was very kind to offer appetizers at night and just before we left.
Cons: The location--the posada was in a very nice neighborhood but we didn't have a car so there was nothing around to buy (groceries, pharmacy). Good for someone looking for a quiet place. The room--we needed a first floor room and the only one they had was dark, had uncomfortable chairs, had no dresser, no space at the sink for our toiletries, poor lighting. We think the second floor rooms may have been better but that didn't suit us. The pool--was not heated.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host, very clean, and great breakfast!
Cons: Wifi did drop out at peak usage times. Apparently linked to provider neighborhood issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a family owned Posada. The room was very cozy with a very comfortable bed and plenty of room and great amenities. Breakfast is amazing, and the best part was the time we spent talking to Olivia every morning! 100% recommended!
Cons: We loved everything!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Olivia was a great host and looked after us very well Good breakfast and excellent pool.
Cons: Location was a bit out of centre but was nice and quiet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have enjoyed the beautiful house the Terrasse and the very tasty breakfast. Olivia was taking care on all questions we had. Absolutely perfect and ideal located
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the pool , breakfast was really good ! Big bed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mrs. Olivia is THE BEST HOST. EVER. Friendly as can be, she made us feel like home from the instant we walked in. She made DELICIOUS breakfast (with amazing coffee) every day. She recommended us the best places for lunch, where to go, what to do... she was the best guide we could hope for. She even gave us a ride to downtown! The room is kind of separate from the main house; it has its own (extra clean) bathroom and small kitchen, with a fridge included and all. The house offers a great pool with nice chairs and all, so you can relax there =) the bed was super comfy and the room featured a flat screen with sky tv for those times you don’t feel like going out. The shower was spacious and well equipped, with hot running water on demand. The house is a 15-20 minute quiet/relaxing walk from the malecon and all the main shops; Uber is available and cheap as well if you don’t feel like walking. We rented a car and the house had an actual spot for the car, inside the garage. While the area is safe (house is located in a really nice neighborhood) it’s always nice to have your own spot, with shade! Overall, this was a great experience. The room was great and the host was the best. We’re definitely coming back to this place in our future trip, and definitely recommend it to the broader booking community. Thanks Mrs. Olivia for such a great stay!!!!
Cons: Everything was awesome.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful terrace and pool. Very central to Marina and downtown.
Cons: Water pressure was low and water not very hot but this was minor issue overall
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Large room, comfy bed and quiet hotel- great sleep! Beautiful decor and facilities- loved the pool, rooftop lounge palapa, kitchen for guests (with fridge) and breakfast was much more food than the advertised ‘continental’ - eggs, frijoles and salsa, freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade bread were all delicious.
Cons: The location was 3 minutes walk from the end of the malecon, 25 minutes from the main bars and restaurants but La Paz is long and thin and the distance meant the hotel was quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire staff was both friendly and helpful, plus everything was so clean you could eat off the floor! I also loved all the beautiful potted succulents & cactus, as well as the 3rd floor terrace. The location was perfect for me - just a few blocks from some excellent restaurants and the Malecon.
Cons: The included breakfast was tasty and generous, but I would have liked a little more variety...a minor complaint really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great breakfast compared to other hotels. Friendly place to stay.
Cons: people making noise sometimes late at night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, helpful stuff, great location, fantastic interior design (traditional Mexican style), shared kitchen on each floor, available cold drinking water on each floor, superb location... Good breakfast. Good coffee...

Pros: Staff was nice and the environment too. Nicely decorated.
Cons: Cleaning was not good and we were missing shampoo, there was just bodywash. The shower was not very comfortable either. We only found one socket which was kind of far from the bed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly Service, Pablo prepared a kickass-breakfast for us! Thanks!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hostel, great staff - shoutout to Andy for answering all my questions!
Cons: It’s about a 25 minute walk to the malecón if you’re a slow walker like myself. There’s not that much street lighting in the area towards the hostel when walking back by yourself. But that’s not the fault of the hostel.
5.0 Okay
Pros: - Large open common area to hang out in. - Decent beds with curtains for privacy. - Breakfast was pretty good - choice of eggs and beans, or fruit.
Cons: - In a three day period, the dorm and attached bathroom I was in was not cleaned one single time. And it definitely hadn't been cleaned before I got there, based on how full the bathroom trash was and the look of things in the bathroom and shower. -This is disgusting; they don't have a real water cooler, so they dump the jugs of water into a standalone cooler. I wondered how they kept it cold. The answer is that they keep frozen plastic water bottles in the freezer and rotate them in. BUT they grab these bottles with their bare unwashed hands, hold them against their shirt that they've been wearing all day, and then put them into the water everyone is drinking. Absolutely disgusting. - Completely disinterested and aloof staff. Not very friendly, don't interact much with guests. - This hostel acts like it's social with activities, beer available, etc. But the truth is they don't do much of anything. I was there for three days, mostly on the weekend, and there was not one activity. The beer fridge was also empty most of the time. Come on...just go to the store and pick up a case or two if you're out of beer! - The staff started locking the front doors at 11pm every night, but didn't tell the existing guests. So several of them got locked out and had to wake me up by banging on the front door to the complex and yelling to be let in. - At least a 20 minute walk if you want to get to pretty much anything, even more in most cases.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff, nice simple breakfast and good coffee. Quiet neighbourhood location. Lots of parking if you have a car.
Cons: It's a good 10 minute walk to the edge of town, it's fine during the morning or cool of the evening.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. A good, value for money hostel.

Pros: Hourly shuttle to downtown La Paz was really convenient, especially if you want to enjoy an evening out (or parking is limited due to carnival festivities, which was the case during our stay). Very friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: The walk-in showers are large and nicely-sized, but really would benefit from being re-tiled. They are clean, but dated (unlike the rest of our room, which was nicely sized and decorated).

6.0 Good
Pros: In a rural part of town. Grounds, rooms are spanish decor.
Cons: Told him we were tired and wanted to go to our room. The owner sat us down and gave us a 30 minute spiel on the activities, food etc. in La Paz even when were only staying one night and a couple of hours the next day. And, he would not take a credit card, which I later found no mention of in any of the booking sites. Later asked for an extra towel and was given a cold stare. My partner, Brian, went to the patio at 7 in the morning and the owner was sitting at the common breakfast area drinking coffee. Brian asked if he could have coffee and the owner said no, not until 8. Every time Brian went into the secure garage, the owner followed him, as if Brian was going to steal the washing machine or something. We were so frustrated we left before the breakfast was served at 8.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful week-long stay at the Hacienda Paraiso! The property is lovely, everything from the breakfast and swimming pool area to the rooms is decorated tastefully with Mexican craft. Richard was the most attentive host, he was very flexible and accommodated us when we needed to make last-minute changes to our stay. He also organized a walking trip to the desert with Benjamin which we cannot recommend enough! We got to see many fascinating plants and animals, as well as rupestrian paintings and human artifacts over 7000 years old! Conversations with Richard and the other guests over the delicious Mexican breakfast were another highlight. Finally, Richard had many great tips on what to do in the area, from shopping to dining to finding the most beautiful beaches. We cannot wait to go back!

Cons: Nothing
4.6 Okay
Pros: The garden
Cons: The room was terrible. Half the size as promised. Bed also not a queen but somewhere in between a single and a double. Very worn out. Price was totally overrated. 30 dollar room instead of 90. We payed one night and left. Very disappointing
5.8 Okay
Pros: The host was very informative about things to do in the area, but a bit pushy and it would have been nice to settle in before inandated with what he told us we should do.
Cons: First morning our car was locked in garage and owner left with key. Owner sat with his feet resting on table before breakfast. When we returned in the afternoon the smell in our room was so fowl we couldn't use the AC.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner was so nice with us, very helpful all the time. The hotel is beatiful and cozy! Great place, I totally recommended!

Cons: people making noise sometimes late at night

Pros: We enjoy Alphonso, the host and this was our second visit. The B&B is charming and Sparkling clean, the courtyard extremely charming and in an incredible location. We will continue to go back there to stay.
Cons: Everything was great!

Pros: Breakfast was good, very clean and nice staff.
Cons: The bathroom was not en-suite so we had to share the bathroom and I believe that is something you should let people know beforehand.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The proprietor Alfonso was extremely helpful and very friendly. He registered me for a tour which exceeded all my expectations, and which was a much better value than other offers that I could see over town. My room and the private bathroom provided ample space. The Bed & Breakfast is in comfortable walking distance from a lot of great restaurants: I recommend "Il Rustico," "Fuego y Leña", "Bismarkcito," and "Las Tres Virgenes."
Cons: I really cannot say anything about the place that I did not like.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location. Nice courtyard. Breakfast had a good selection
Cons: Would have liked private bathroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this place especially Alfonso and Ornello the owners. Immaculate living quarters and such wonderful people I could adopt them as family and that's how I felt the time we were there. I just happened to come out of the room and smelled this wonderful aroma and just by chance Alfonso was taking his homemade Lasagna out of the oven.....It was the best meal we had on our trip through Mexico for a week. We also got a special treat and tried his lemonchello among other homemade things all of which were wonderful. This place exceeded our expectation and we were so happy we did not book one of the larger hotels in the area, this was perfect. Thank you again and we will see you next time we come to La Paz
Cons: That we did not stay longer
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very good breakfast, kind and friendly service, beautiful cats
Cons: Had to leave the room to use the bathroom.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, and the staff very helpful. We got stuck in a storm and our room leaked and they moved us very quick.
Cons: The breakfast was OK, very limited options. It was not a buffet but you chose from a menu that is already set and very limited. The Kitchenette had nothing in it. There was a fridge, oven and microwave but no dishes, silver ware or cups, all empty, I do not know how we can use the kitchenette without utensils or plates.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Loved looking out sliding glass door and seeing a beautiful view of the ocean and the main blvd. The room was clean, price was great. Staff was friendly when we were able to communicate being my Spanish is very limited.
Cons: Wish the bathroom had more privacy. Beware there's also a Seven Crown downtown, but its not waterfront. Pick the waterfront Seven Crown.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Service was excellent, friendly, and helpful.
Cons: One of the A/C was not working, nor was a light, however we did not bring it to their attention. It would have been nice to have had an elevator as we had some heavy bags with us.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I really like the place an the pool it’s very close to downtown and the malecón, staff is very kind
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, spacious, parking, best restaurants near by
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very functional and clean.
Cons: Not much character.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great
6.3 Good
Cons: The breakfast arrangement and quality. My booking confirmation stated breakfast included. We were 2 adults and 2 kids. The hotel manager insisted that we only get 2 breakfast vouchers for the adults. The kids need to pay. Although I showed him my confirmation, he said that this is not his problem and that we only get these 2 vouchers. The breakfast is not worth it. We finally went and regretted it. On the second day we did not even ask for the vouchers anymore and went to an outside restaurant. This is not customer first.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and great service
Cons: Doesn't have elevator

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is the coolest little place to stay! Super chill and so relaxing! Ester and all the staff are awesome and super friendly. Absolutely love this place!
Cons: My stay was too short!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: El Angel Azul Hacienda is a beautiful, relaxed space with large courtyard and common living room and kitchen area that I was able to use to cook, eat and hang out. Every detail is taken care of and it is kept sparkling clean. Esther’s team with Enriquetta, Patty, Perla, Don Jose and Josephine were so friendly and welcoming. Mancha and Flaca are the sweet dogs who hang out with us. They all took good care of me. :) My room (6) was also very comfortable and had everything I needed, including comfy reading chairs which I love. This is a perfect location to explore La Paz and the surrounding beaches and marine preserves. El Estadio has amazing tacos next door. The Malecon is a 5-10 minute walk and the Catedral and Tues/Sat farmer’s market is a few short blocks away. I walked and took the bus everywhere. I highly recommend taking an excursion to Isla Espiritu Santo with Punta Baja and taking the nearby beach bus to Playa Balandra. Being in the middle of the city there is naturally street and neighbor noise but with ear plugs at night it is totally fine, even for a very light sleeper like me. It is a very worthy compromise for being so close to everything. Overall this was a wonderful stay, and my only wish is that I stayed longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Attentive and accommodating staff and owner. Small number of rooms, historic background of building. Centralized location. Vicinity to spa.
Cons: Our stay was too short.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is beautiful, the hostess (Esther) is very friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and helpfull.
Cons: Is more a suggestion that something that we don't like. We recommended more lights in the bathroom of our room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the “honeymoon suite,” which is a large, beautiful room with a private even-larger equally beautiful terrace attached. Every detail of design and decor is exquisitely thought out and made the visit a treat for all the senses. The kitchen for self-catering in the main building is pristine and well-equipped, even with spices and other staples, and the honor bar was a huge bonus, allowing us to enjoy drinks on our own terrace. Though we did not use them, the availability of ice boxes, beach towels and other amenities for going to the beach are a reflection of the degree to which every comfort has been thought out. We also enjoyed shopping in both the consignment store and the bookstore in the building. Ester and her staff are welcoming and accommodating. The inn’s location within an easy walk of everything in the old town adds still another layer of pleasure. We could not have been happier and hope to return before too long.
Cons: The bathroom sink runs only cold water, which is a little tricky for a shaving man. Hanging a shaving mirror in the lovely shower would be a help.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms, cosy. Lovely gardens. Quietness
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Esther (the owner) really made us feel at home. We came to Baja for our honeymoon, and her welcoming and kind-hearted personality really made our trip special. Beyond that, the hacienda itself, especially the blue and white inner courtyard, is gorgeous. It has cozy vibe, unlike the commercial look-and-feel of the other hotels we saw in La Paz. We missed the whale sharks on this trip, and if we come back we'll definitely stay here!

Pros: It was handy to the bus terminal and the Malecon. The staff was helpful and polite. It was very affordable.
