Pros: We rented two rooms and our son's room, a standard double, was charming with pine furnishings and a view. The public rooms have charm in a kitschy, provincial way. The view from the dining room is especially nice.
Cons: Our room, a junior suite, was very unattractive. It had a beautiful view, but a fold-out sofa with a green top and cushions covered in white mattress pad fabric, a divider that blocked the view, and a saggy bed were all unacceptable.

Pros: Stunning location on a plateau within the Vosges forest, interesting buildings, beautifully kept grounds, great scenery, possibility for hikes and visits to nearby towns and villages
Cons: bathrooms function but do need to be renovated to give them a fresher, more appealing look
Pros: A wonderful place!
Pros: Stuning location! Great views all around from its hill top location 415 metres above sea level. Keep your eyes peeled for the sign on the "main road" - Vacanciel. It sits in the middle of about 70 sq kms of forest some 6km off the road. Forest roads are good if narrow & watch out for foxes, deer & sharp bends in the dark! Staff very friendly and helpful, we arrived at 7.30 pm without booking an evening meal, but one was provided & very good it was too. Great breakfast. Simple clean rooms, own shower and toilet. A range of activities is on offer - we missed the evening honey tasting. We stayed a couple of days exploring the Northern Vosge mountains - I wish it could have been longer.
Pros: Location - dramatic hilltop setting.
Cons: Lack of a la carte menu for dinner (but it's only a relatively small hotel). Choucroute would not have been our first choice, but it's the regional speciality and the quality was good. We didn't try the breakfast in case it was more of the same!
Pros: It's location on a hilltop and in the middle of a huge forest. The appearance as one approaches the hotel is wonderful.
Cons: It would be beneficial to guests if they were advised to book evening meals and breakfast in advance. We wanted to eat in the hotel restaurant but there were no spaces.
Pros: The room was clean and the location is great
Cons: The worst staff ever guys come on are you going to do something about this. we had to wait 15 minutes untill someone came to the reception for check in, great impression from the start what do you think? Then no water in the hotel in the morning and when you see the gm he could not care less, he just said that he did not had a problem as he had a special boiler for his flat. what a F... . at least apologise, and I love the written note on the top of the gm office, bureau des pleurs.... I think this will all tell about the hotel management
