Pros: Location is wonderful, looks like you are going to the end of the world .. really until the road ends. We slept there just for one night so not sure what else is to be done there, but I can imagine few days to recover in the middle of nature. Mostly without cell phone signal (although Wifi is available so you could not be cut away from civilization completely)
Cons: There was nothing I would have to consider as negative.
Cons: The staff doesn't speak English.
Pros: Beautiful setting and view of the surrounding mountains, very clean rooms, great shower, comfortable beds. There was a really nice hike that you could take right from their property, even their two little cats accompanied us the whole way!! So cute!
Cons: It was difficult to communicate with the owner because of her speaking German and we only speak English. The parking area is a little scary as it pulls right up to a big drop off but there was a log there to keep us from going too far.
Pros: Gorgeous location and lovely rooms and restaurant!
Pros: Fantastic hotel with beautiful view. Nothing around just the nature. I really loved it. Room was very nice, clean and with balkony and view to the mountains. Breakfast was enough and because there was no any guests I was satisfied. I can imagine when hotel is full that breakfast will be much more better and bigger. Highly recommended.
Cons: Room above restaurant was quit noisy. Nobody speaks english. I missed music TV channel in TV and paper tissue in the room :-) As you can see nothing really important to complain :-)
Pros: spectacular view, clean room and a wonderful walking route through the mountains right next to the hotel.
Cons: very poor wifi, soft mattresses, breakfast was standart.
Pros: Beautiful views
Cons: Noisy refrigerator.
Pros: Quiet location, friendly host, looooots of snow
Pros: The apartment/room was clean, well equipped, it had a lovely view and very comfy beds. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet place far from busy/touristy areas.
Pros: Fantastic view from the property, good breakfast and clean rooms
Cons: Airconditioning would be nice and maybe some more comfortable chairs on the teras to enjoy the view with a drink.

Pros: Nice and welcoming owners, good breakfast included, large room that included a bedroom and also a second room with a couch that can be used to relax and watch TV without disturbing the person sleeping.
Pros: Staff, location and breakfast were awesome.
Cons: The smell of cigarette smoke permeates the facility.
Pros: nice place, friendly staff, motorbikes in the large garage, pension is directly on very nice motorbiking road B25. Whole area is motorbiking paradise
Pros: Warm, friendly service. Great value. Great breakfast! Easy walking distance to the Kartause and nearby diners and pubs. Very centrally located.
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: The reception area and dining area were very smoky. The owner smoked in the downstairs where customers entered and ate. The beds were very hard.
Pros: We liked the bed, the breakfast, and the warm welcome. The place is nice and clean with a rustic charm. Very good value/price ratio.
Cons: It is a bit close to the road, but the noise is still acceptable.
Pros: Very friendly owners and very good breakfast, quiet location and good parking possibilities.
Pros: Simple, but cosy place. Friendly owners, excellent breakfast. Great garage for motorbikes.
Pros: The breakfast was great the hosts were wonderful location was perfect.
Cons: Unfortunately the whole house smelled like smoke and I have a very high allergy to smoke so that was the only negative part about it.
Pros: The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and had everything I needed. The breakfast was superior and was way more than both I expected and could eat. I recommend this place highly
Cons: I did not find anything, that was not okay

Pros: Owner was waiting for us. Our arrival was within the time frame; but, checked in around 9:00pm or so
Cons: Windows of our room opened to a busy street
Pros: Excellent breakfast! Space in apartment for family to spread out!
Cons: Only wished for one regular extra pillow, to help with better back support at night. But I improvised and was ok.
Pros: Evrything super!
Cons: I'm sorry, that one morning, I got gum for breakfast
Pros: Very kind personell, clean room, perfect location

Pros: Simply perfect, friendly, clean!
Pros: Doris and her husband were wonderful hosts! The were so helpful, hospitable, kind and thoughtful! We hope to come back to see them again and the wonderful area around Gaming, Austria! So much to see and so little time!
Cons: Finding it was a little hard at night, maybe lights on the Eder Pension sign to help guide visitors to the B&B. As well as additional flood lights on the front of the building that guide you around the entrance.
Located at the foot of a forest, Hotel Kartause Gaming offers exclusive accommodation in a 14th-century monastery, halfway between Salzburg and Vienna. It features a brewery and a restaurant. The carefully furnished rooms at Kartause Gaming Hotel feature individual interiors, focusing on details such as wooden beams in the ceilings, glass walk-in showers and traditional hand painted furniture. All rooms come with free Wi-Fi and cable TV, and some include large living areas. At the restaurant, guests can enjoy Austrian seasonal specialties and a rich buffet breakfast. The hotel’s courtyard is home to several events during the year, such as arts and crafts markets. Guests can also take a guided tour through the monastery's brewery, which includes a beer shop.
Pros: Where to begin?! Hotel Kartause Gaming exceeded every expectation. It had the best of modern conveniences with Old World Charm. I traveled alone to visit a student at the Franciscan University, but would love to return again as a base to explore Austria. I felt welcomed, completely safe and found much here to make my visit memorable. The multilingual front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. You’ll find the best restaurant in town is at Kartause - attracting hotel guests and locals alike. The menu is limited, but everything is 5 star quality. There’s a small bar to enjoy beer brewed on site or the local peach wine- perfect for a quick visit with your student or to end an idyllic day. As you wind your way around the restaurant, you’ll find a modern elevator to the hotel wing. Words can’t describe the authentic style of the room- I’ll post pictures, hoping that will help. I imagine some Americans will think it small, but shame on them- it’s a charming, clean European room- long and narrow with a sloped ceiling. There are original wood beams, comfortable beds with quality crisp bedding, table & chairs, stocked mini fridge, small windows overlooking the courtyard & mountains and a large, updated bathroom with strong hot water. Enjoy a short walk to town where you can sip a cappuccino, shop or try delicious kabobs. On the way back, take the sloping trail from the edge of town to climb the hill behind Kartause- you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful view! The bus stops just out front and is a 20” ride to Scheibbs, where you can catch a train to many places in Austria, Germany, Hungary and Switzerland. I look forward to a return visit!
Pros: The food was incredible at the Hotel restaurant. The staff very friendly.
Pros: The breakfast and location were excellent
Pros: Visiting my daughter, who is at University there in Gaming. The area is beautiful, the hotel exceeded expectations in every way. The area is quiet and one could probably run out of things to do, but it is very convenient to both Vienna and Salzburg. Fantastic place. Would love to go again. The hotel is much, much better than it needs to be.
Pros: The hotel staff were very gracious; the restaurant staff were accommodating when pressed.
Cons: The restaurant staff.

Pros: It is a perfect place for running away! The people is extremely nice and easy-going. They allowed me to check in at 10 am! The restaurant is amazing, the room beautiful and the spa incredible. The hotel is closed to the bus station, to the city center and to the lake. It has been one of my best weekends! I recommend you 100%.
