Pros: The room is so lovely and cosy, it makes you feel like home immediately. Hosts are really attractive to kids. Hosts are very nice and have many travel tips to share. Homemade Irish breakfast tastes great too!
Cons: if have to point out something, the electronic fireplace does make some noises (like fridges) and we could also hear sounds from other room who are probably quite loud in late night...But as we fell asleep it didn't bother us any more. For traveller sensitive to noise, an ear pludge will probably help.

Pros: The location was good & convenient to the hotel. There was good parking. The room was adequate. There was no tea & coffee in the room but you could go down stairs & make it
Cons: The breakfast was a bit on the very small side. Eg I asked for scrambled egg on toast. I got 2 x quarter slices of toast with one scrambled egg on it & a quarter of a tomato. I wasn’t impressed. My sister asked for the full Irish was a very small portion. She also asked for porridge & was told that they make it on water not on milk. To me that’s scrimping and not what I was ever used to in Irish B&B’s. they should get the food right and not be miserly

Cons: nothing - awesome
5.5 Okay
Pros: This is one of the most beautiful settings for a hotel. The sugar loaf, the walks, the old trees. The rooms are so nice, very comfortable beda, beautiful big bathrooms and we had a massive shared balcony.
Cons: This is my 3rd time in 3 years here and unfortunately my last. The first time I visited it was with family, again everything was great bar the staff in the sugar loaf restaurant, they were slow, forgetful, too busy and rude. The second time was with my husband for a charity event. Amazing room again but the service in the same restaurant was not 5 star. This time I went with 4 girlfriends and we had lunch and dinner in the sugar loaf restaurant as the restaurant downstairs was booked up. On arrival we had lunch. I got prawns and for 19euro got about 5 tiny rock hard prawns with what I was told from the menu was sourdough. It was sodabread and stale and tiny. We asked for water about 3 times and on our last time got it, probably about an hour after sitting down. The food took 45minutes to come. When I asked the "Manager" if the prawns were a main portion and she said no, I commented that they were way overpriced and all she said in a really rude tone was "its because they are prawns" what the hell does that mean... Wicklow is right beside the sea and it should not matter, the quality and quantity were ridiculous.. When we had dinner in the same place the service was awful again waiting ages for water and wine and had to ask to get our plates cleared twice.. Its just such a shame as its a beautiful place.

Pros: I liked the location and the room.
Cons: I was very disappointed with the Irish bar, the food in the bar and did not find the seating comfortable. I was most disappointed with the breakfast and would certainly have expected more from a 5 star hotel.

Pros: A perfect farmhouse set in the gorgeous Irish Country side. There were so many things we loved about our stay. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and the room was impeccable with cozy bedding. The breakfast was like heaven with fresh scones, coffee and breads while you waited on your hot breakfast, which was delicious and fresh! After breakfast, we walked around on the farm and got to feed the various animals. We plan on coming back with our children, who will love staying here.

Pros: Excellent countryside retreat. Ideally located within the Wicklow mountains.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Abhainn Ri for two nights whilst attending Punchestown Racing Festival. We believed we was fairly well prepared for what we were about to encounter with this BB farmhouse but we were completely blown away by what we found on arrival. We consider we are fairly well travelled but words or pictures can not fully do justice to the real experience we found on arrival as we pulled up in the car we were astounded by the full landscape overlooking the lakes with the mountains as a backdrop and the lush green fields to the fore. Now this is our piece of good fortune for the next three days looking out onto this beautiful landscape, we have stayed at some of the best hotels in major cities but nothing ever compared to this and the accommodation suite matched the initial impact and added to the amazing stroke of luck we had in finding Abhainn Ri. This surely can not continue but we had also decided to include the breakfast and some may question the price but don't because this is no ordinary breakfast first you really get to meet the lovely couple Niamh and Joe who are so nice and so attentive to your every need, the fair on offer should fulfil every taste and there is no limit so what is on offer with constant hot tea and coffee along with the toasted homemade bread delivered to your table in the fantastic farmhouse breakfast room. If anyone needs to eat at anytime throughout the day after this breakfast they should consider seeing their doctor, we even had to cut back our evening meal after the fantastic breakfast provided by Niamh and Joe the brilliant host of Abhainn Ri which led us to back a 13/2 winner at Punchestown with a horse of a similar name to the Farm. We believe you would have to go a long way to beat the triple combined treat of picturesque views accommodation and food and we have to thank the enterprise of Joe and Niamh for sharing this with us.
Cons: Leaving

Pros: Everything was fantastic. Barbara is wonderful. We received some sad news related to our family while there and Barbara was compassionate and kind. It is such a lovely place that we look forward to coming back some day and spending much more time there. This is a very special place.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely owner, gorgeous location and good breakfast
Cons: Room and bathroom were a bit small and although there was tea and coffee in the room, it was just tea and coffee, some other options would have been nice, as would a choice of gluten free cereals at breakfast, not just cornflakes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hostess who played great breakfast music but also knew the rugby score. Each bedroom room is unique. Both myself and my travelling companions had great rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Barbara and her family were just lovely. The property is in a wonderful location. It was perfect
Cons: Nothing at all
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast with good service. Clean room with nice extras including tea and coffee in the room. Staff were pleasant.
Cons: Toilet was a struggle to flush. Appeared to be a mix up with room bookings as ours was not records in the manual diary. Feel like we got our room as we turned up first and someone else was left out in the cold.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast.
Cons: Traffic noise.
7.9 Good
Pros: The Coach House was a lovely spot and was exactly as I expected. Barbara was very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and had lovely views

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Traveling to Carnew,County Wicklow,Ireland from Canada,to visit family. Unfamiliar with roads, route etc. the Coach house is right on a main road, easy to locate and we were given directions to our family in Carnew that saved us time. The owners were extremely warm and knowledgeable about the area and made us feel at home from start to finish. Breakfast menu had something for everyone and you knew they would cook to any dietary needs. Greeted with smiles and a hand shake and said good bye the same..I would recommend staying here for value in every way..
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: What's not to like? From the friendly & warm hospitality of Mick & Barbara to the decor and ambience of the house, I loved it and will definitely return. I liked the presence of pets about the place too...very homely feel. I was sitting outside on the 2nd evening and Mick came over to ask if I would like a complimentary glass of wine. Very nice touch and I gladly accepted. At the Old Coach House they operate an "honesty bar" in the guest lounge, this was good because my friend & I preferred to return to the beautiful lounge for a nightcap & a chat. All in all, possibly the most welcoming & charming guest house ive stayed in to date.
Cons: No complaints

Pros: There was nothing “wrong” with the facility (other than there was no water in the lodge for the first 4 hours of our stay), but everything about the facility was dated. Rooms were fine, breakfast was good, central location, and quiet. But based on score and room rate, I expected more.
Cons: The overall rating. At 9.2 I expect an excellent facility.

7.5 Good
Pros: We don't drive so it is a bit harder to get to as it is off the beaten track. Bus or train and a short taxi ride will get you there though. We had a family room and it was absolutely huge. The beds are so comfortable and the pillows were like sinking into warm marshmallows. We were there for a wedding so didn't really get to use much of the facilities. I would definitely stay again.
Cons: Breakfast is very expensive even by Irish standards.

Pros: A really clean, bright and cheerful place. We had the family room with private external bathroom. It was big and lots of rooms to move about. The staff are friendly and efficient and food taste great. The little pup is the Don Juan of the place... sweet little thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and owner were extremely friendly and welcoming. The full irish breakfast was unexpected as part of the room rate and was great to have before a big hike. The manager Rebecca was trully professional, friendly and obliging in every way and a wonderful cook. A blessing to come home to a nutricious hot meal for a really reasonnable extra price every night. I would return without hesitation and recommend Lus Mor to young or old visitors to Wicklow!
Cons: Nothing, all was really perfect with beautiful surroundings and peace & quiet.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast. BEAUTIFUL view. Nice vibes and layout. Good shower.
Cons: Several beds were placed by skylights without blinds. Made waking up in the morning quite uncomfortable. Didn't get more than six hours per night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a nice place to get away from hustle and bustle. Driving out there it seemed like there wouldn’t be much choice for food but they provided a super delicious home cooked meal that we were able to select from a small but well rounded menu. And a great breakfast was included as well. It was very peaceful and a wonderful place to look out over the hills.

Pros: Staff very pleasant and helpful. We both enjoyed supper and appreciated being able to help ourselves to drinks, using the honesty box provided. Charges for this were v. reasonable. Bed was comfortable and bed linen and towels of good quality. Fruit salad with natural yoghurt, bread and preserves were v.good. Would have liked hot milk for coffee.
Cons: Building had been rather poorly finished: hole in bathroom door, gaps between wooden flooring and tiles. Hard-core drive not easy to transfer luggage from car and noisy when people passing outside bedroom. Lighting in room inadequate & 1 plug socket not working. No mirror in bedroom to use while drying hair. Expected leaflets to be available for walkers. There were only maps of the area on wall to inspect. No juices available at breakfast!

Pros: I was running 90 mins late for checking times and phoned Ann. She was lovely, very accommodating and sensitive to my situation.
