Swimming pool and nice hotel staff.
The hotel is situated on walking distance of the center of Lochem in very calm surroundings. The attitude of the staff; with the exeption of the lady who served the breakfast!!
Pleasant hotel and a nice breakfast
everything was o.k. it was a nice place to stay no
The management and personnel were excellent
Very poor, for me it is not a 4 stars, on your site the say internet gratis but is is an "hotspot" from KPN, chek the prices!!!
nothing everything: small claustrophobic room, to small bed, restaurant to expensive for the quality, hotel is not 4 stars but maximum 2-3 stars, no mini bar in room, hotel is in my opinion not renovated since the '60.
Well located and comfortable, in a quiet part of the city.
It was the first time I have stayed at a hotel anywhere around the world...I Hate to carry toothpaste /shampoo /condition, they were unable to provide these basic items which is available in any hotel where ever you are around the world apart from this hotel it seems.
Very nice location and very good service
The room we were offered on arrival was old-fashioned, in need of decorating & the mattresses were old & sagging. We asked to change (we both have back problems) & were given a large, comfortable, well decorated room with memory foam mattress, spa bath, garden view....very satisfied! The first room we were offered. Our stay would not have seemed such good value for money if we had not been upgraded.
restaurant prices were outrageous but we had no choice as we had to eat. a simple menu for travellers would be good.
Good breakfast. Tea & coffee facilities in room
location/surroundings menu/preparation of the food/not representative for a 4 star hotel
We had booked 2 singles and 1 double. We ended up with 2 large twin rooms with balcony and 1 large double suite. We only had breakfast there but the choice was excellent as well as the service throughout.
Ambience, setting everything was good.
The closeness to the woods was great. That was just where we wanted to be. Staff very friendly. Food good. Bathroom did not smell very fresh when we first went into the room
the restaurant is a nice room The room was small, really a "leftover room". The bathroom had an ugly smell that entered into the room. There were many midgets we were not warned for and when we found out it was too late. We could not get another room anymore. So if you really have to go to this hotel, do not take room 106.
The restaurant is very good. Good food, very nice service, reasonably priced. The rooms on the top floor are very warm. (Flat roof)
Nice pool and good sized bedroom. Room was nicely decorated but somehow lacked atmosphere. Very Clean and excellent bar /restaurent area. Very relaxing.
The hotel is in a lovely setting and the staff were friendly and willing to help. 1. My bill included a sum of 90 euros for 4 telephone calls. There was no rate information in the room. I stay in Dutch hotels for more than 100 nights every year and this is over 4 times more per minute than comparable calls from any other Dutch hotel. 2. Because I had to leave for work early I arranged for a breakfast pack to be prepared. On 2 of the 4 days I was there it wasn't done. 3. Although the rooms were acceptable they are a little tired and in need of renovation. There was a plan exhibited to show that they were being done in 2010 but no sign that anything was actually happening. There are too many good hotels available in Holland and I will not be staying here again.
Personal attention of the staff during breakfast, dinner etc., also on the terrace and in the (lovely) garden. Papers, magazines and books about local history in the lounge. Ambiance: original artproducts (no reproductions) in room and corridors, fresh flowers everywhere, plants in good condition. Our room was one of the finest we ever had on our many trips in our country and abroad. The tower bell of the nearby church had a nice sound but was very loud and woke one of us up every half hour during the night. Maybe the staff should recommend guests to use earplugs (at checking in).
the garden from the hotel was very nice no everything was fine
nice hotel staff, beautifull area, very good for riding by bicycle, we had a room with direction to the nice church, but have not been affected by the bell although it rang every half hour
The beautiful location, courteous staff, restaurant food excellant. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms, but able to take up to the room,no prpblem.
good food, friendly staff Carpet in the room had stains
Good and pleasant staff, good breakfasts and very good dinner, the village of Almen and other places around. Moreover the shed to park our bikes, which is not in every hotel available.
Excellent restaurant, friendly staff, great surroundings. No tea or coffe making arrangements in room.
Lovely hotel with comfortable rooms, good staff and facilities in a very pleasant town. Church bells, right outside our window, rang the time, every half hour, all night.
The hotel interiors are beautiful, beds are extremely comfortable, location is in a charming small town well located to reach many points of interest and the owner is a fun, lovely woman.
eveything was perfect, including the delicious breakfast.I would certainly recommend this lovely hotel to my friends
New modern facilities, classy, friendliness, excellent breakfast Difficult to find
Excellent country setting. Very good choice of breakfast
Location of hotel is most beautiful. Staff very friendly & helpfull.Greaat food.
The value for money foor the hotel accomodation was fine. The value for money in the restaurant was between poor and fair. The relation between the supplied meal and the price for the main course (€ 17,50) was out of proportion compared to other hotels with the same price for the main course. Starting breakfest from 07.30 as standard without giving notice first to tghe Hotel staff.
The morning breakfast! The beds! Two single beds put together only to split apart when rolling over and falling on the ground.
beautiful location and a great few from the room. Good breakfast buffet the corridors and the rooms didn't look very modern (more old), the delux room is not more luxurius, only bigger in my oppinion
Great location, friendly staff, good food Old building, so a bit noisy.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff were most helpful from check in to check out.
staff friendly and competent; location quiet and in the middle of nature; very much value for money.
staff unhelpful ; shower extremely poorly constructed i.e. water flowing into bathroom itself breakfast opening hours much too late ; i.e 8.00 AM
A budget hotel in a rural location, handy restaurant with 70's style reliable food. Basic but cheap for the Netherlands. Room was small and drab, ask for one above the restaurant, those above the bar are noisy, the 'No Smoking' room policy is pointless as an acrid stench rises from the bar and nightclub.
The staff was helpful and pleasant. The room was quite large. The underlying cafe is nice and not loud at all. The beds and the sheets were too short for us.
staff very helpful not ensuite
Good dinner and breakfast, relaxed atmosphere, nice staff, reasonable pricing. Great starting point for biking tours. Rooms could use some painting.
We certainly got what we paid for. A very nice and cosy little hotel in the middle of a smal village. We had a warm and friendly welcome, eventhough we arrived by midnight with 3 children. The rooms were clean, the surroundings quiet and the houselord made breakfast for us in the morning. Scrambled egg, salami, fresh bread and all sorts of jam, peanutbutter, honey etc. We will be back - highly recomended!
It felt as being back in the 70's, which was great for this stay. Billiart competition, table cloth, smell of beer, GREAT!!!
