Hotel Hellenika

It is difficult to find fault with this property which has been extremely well refurbished. Also tastefully furnished. The one item lacking in my room was a place to hang my clothes though I later saw that other rooms do have roperias. Georgia’s and his staff were so friendly and helpful, it was like staying as a guest with friends. The location of the hotel is ideal being on a street faced with a large impressive Catholic Church and just a few blocks from the Cathedral plaza and with a supermarket just two blocks away. This is a gem of a place!

Shower not well thought out. Curtain too short and angle of flow cause water on bathroom floor if not careful. On the plus side excellent hot water shower.

The hotel is conveniently located and a short (couple of minutes) walk to the Cathedral. It is simply, but tastefully furnished. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful; they offered valuable advices, tips and recommendations on things to do and where to eat. The owner speaks exceptional English, and we easily engaged in conversations, including local way of life and traditions. I learned more chatting with him than I possibly could wandering the streets of Leon. However, what impressed me the most occurred on the morning of my departure. I had to get up very early (2am) in the middle of the night to catch a shuttle, and there was an excellent, freshly brewed Nicaraguan cup of coffee waiting for me. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I were to return to Leon.
