Staff very friendly. Even had a 'handy man' on site to help us jump start our car.
Location The restaurant was awful. Half board was one choice for each course, dogs were allowed in the restaurant, service was terrible and drinks were ridiculously expensive. The last morning of my stay there was no hot water in the room. I mentioned this to reception but didn't receive a word of apology. Parking is difficult.
We thouroughly enjoyed our breakfasts as well as the fact that the hotel was a ski-on ski-out type. Although we had prepaid the baby package as advertised onto the hotel's website we were only given a baby cot after asking for it (the baby cot was not in the room upon our arrival, we had to ask for it) regardless of the fact that we called in two hours before arrival. To date we have not received any refund. The Hotel Manager refused to give us any refund and never apologised. For the record, our baby is six months old. The hotel should not advertise special services like that without being able to support them.
The people are very friendly and the hotel is very well heated. The location of the hotel is perfect for sking.
We had an upgraded room which was stunning and the staff were all very helpful. The ski boot room was great with heated boots and very courteous staff. The hotel is extortionate! Prices are beyond belief! I have never encountered anything like it. Breakfast which is included in room rate is literally a pastry and a drink. You can expect to pay €28 for a tiny fruit salad! Prices are crazy and although beautiful in decor I never felt I could just come in and order a hot chocolate and chill out - not cosy!
location and price ski room is not convinient
Lovely staff, excellent location, basic but comfortable rooms, and a surprisingly good mini spa facility. A very pleasant stay and perfect for a short ski break.
The hotel is really well located if you want to go skiing. You will have immediate access to the slops. Free W-Lan access. For 40%-50% of the price I paid I would have been satisfied and would not have complained at all. However, the "SPA-Area" is a really small room, not even a place to sit after exiting the sauna, jacuzzi was not clean. Rooms are also small, old interior, questionable disign.
a comfortable hotel convinient to ski lifts & village. The comfortable bar area & suana/spa facilities were particularly pleasant. Buffet breakfast excellent. The set price evening menu @ €40 was overpriced.
Good location. Value for money. Gourmet restaurant. Pleasant and helpful staff. Need in some renovation (SPA center, fireplace in lobby bar). Heating system didn't work effectively during our stay.
The location of the hotel is very good, nice room and bar. Nice hotel staff, good breakfast. NIce view from the hotels room.
Interior awful! Mixture of nightmare styles, put all together. Food was crap. Nothing good to say about it. Staff beahved like we would be guests of top top hotel. I was visiting many hotels recommended by booking.com, but this one was the worst! Never again, please...
The staff were very helpfull and nice,, room was nice... design of interior was nice.. access to the piste was great... Breakfast was awesome!!! Need a mini bar in the room!!! and also to offer female masseuse... room service would also be a bonus.. and definitely turn the hotel in a 4 star!!!
The ease of access to the slopes
Service and inside the slopes. everything is very good.
The staff on our arrival were very helpful. We arrived in the morning and although we couldn't book in. We could park the car in the hotel carpark and leave our luggage, plus organise ski passes so we could ski that afternoon. Great hotel position for ski in/out, fanastic views. Very clean and lovely room, we had a junior suite overlooking the slopes. Exceptional food at dinner, buffet breakfast had plenty of choice. Only small points, internet broadband intermittent. Plus tea and coffee would have been nice in the room, but it won't put us off visiting again.
It's position on the mountains was amazing you could ski from your room all the way down the mountain. The restaurant was a gastronomic delight. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I'm very fussy but I am unable to think of anything I didn't like about this hotel.
Small hotel with friendly staff. Kids skiing school is not in walking distance.
Room was very comfortable and design very pleasant, location excellent next to the ski runs, and pool and sauna so great after a skiing day. The staff was friendly, too. The meal prices (not included into our room rate, which was a special offer) were like in a four star hotel, but there were also other places to eat nearby.
Wonderful hotel, good location for skiing, very nice design
Great location, staff v. helpful and v. friendly. Restaurant fab .. breakfast excellent choice of buffet.. wonderful dinner menu.. not one meal I didn't enjoy ! Perfect for skiing to and from hotel. Spa excellent - had a wonderful facial. I shared a junior suite with my son .. amazing view from our balcony. All in all a very happy holiday and one I would be happy to repeat! I am fussy with beds .. for me personally pillows could be much softer but then I am a goose feather pillow girl! .. Same applies to duvets but linens, towels, cleanliness etc all excellent and as I say this is a personal preference! Really would not fault anything else at all.
The accomodation, staff and facilities were all excellent. Expensive in comparison to local area.
Location and hotel facilities
Staff was very professional and friendly. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Ski in/Ski out, which is very convenient. Drinks and food at the hotel were a bit pricey, but other than that all was very good. The hotel is at the very top of the mountain, so there is really no village or other restaurants in walking distance. however, there is a free shuttle bus that takes you to the bottom of the mountain where there are some shops and a few restaurants.
Wonderful friendly staff, beautiful location and hotel. The menu could cater better for vegetarians.
Staff very friendly and efficient. Room was a good size. Ambience and decor very alpine and luxurious. Excellent restaurant food. Hotel facilities and skiing convenience.
Quality of Service and Facilities and location For a luxury hotel would be better to not have children play area next to bar and dining area.
Really nicely designed hotel with comfortable rooms and lovely bar area. Friendly staff. Great location for skiing with direct access to slopes. Breakfast was disapointing. They couldn't cope at busy times, so there was very little hot food when we were there. Swimming pool is actually a public pool, separate from the hotel.
the location of the hotel and the modern decor of the whole hotel had an amazing feel to it. the staff were amazingly helpful and very nice. will definately stay there again no
The situation - close to the slopes and the clean fresh interior The ski and boot room The breakfast Rooms not ready on arrival
The bar, the sauna, it is very near the slopes The triple room very small
It was clean Window was broken, no chair in the room
Ski piste access, travel access from main station, bus links, bar comfortable, room comfortable, ski storing Cost was different to confirmation from booking.com slightly more expensive; breakfast expensive for what was on offer and again slightly more expensive to booking confirmation
The choice of bedroom furniture was excellent , trendy and functional .the choice of areas to chillout was good .the olympic bar was very inviting ,cosy and with a warm atmosphere for relaxing in the evening, the boot locker room was well placed for the slopes. No hot water one morning ???
Very good price hotel comparing the other hotels in courchevel, Ski room was very very small, no sauna or spa, breakfast was poor and the rooms are in the minimum size althought they're very clean
Very nice, clean rooms. Nicely desighned. Helpfull stuff. Exellent value. Great location! There was no cable. Only bbc.
Amazingly friendly staff. Great Location. Very charming decor. Nothing
The location, cleanliness, "nothing is a problem" attititude from staff, modern & fresh and location ideal
surprisingly good, excellent location in the centre of the town by lifts and slopes - this is not a luxury hotel but as a boutique hotel it really is excellent - clean and character, not lots of staff, but they were were helpful and friendly- breakfast is a basic help yourself job, if you want to be in the centre of 1850 but dont want outrageous prices, I would highly recommend this hotel
very nice hotel, would certainly go back again
Nice hotel for very good price Final price was different (more expensive) then price from booking.com
Friendly and helpful staff, very central location handy for all amenities, comfortable. Nice breakfast buffet! Room was a little small.
My room was charming, clean, comfortable and not four star soulless clinical.I was allowed to return to my room to shower at 4pm after a final day of skiing despite checkout time being much earlier. The walk to the slopes was a mere 80 metres. I hadn't spotted the room rate was quite so high but it was clear on my booking form so no complaint.
By far this hotel has the best attention I have seen in any hotel I have stayed across the Swiss and French Alps... It is the closest possible thing to a catered chalet, without being one. The staff is amazing and so kind I couldn't believe it. Very classy place. It is expensive but if you want to be treated well, it is worth the investment. The quality of the food is good, but the quantities when you buy the half cupboard are not the most generous for hungry skiers. :)
The smell in the hotel was terrible. Very expensive ski rental
I am glad you have mailed it has saved me a job.I am extremely disappointed in the position of this hotel in relation to Courchevel 1650..The map on your website for this hotel shows it in the centre of 1650. It is in fact nearly 1Km out from the town. My skiing holiday was designed for my 2 young children to learn to ski for the 1st time and I wanted a hotel in the middle of the resort to make the whole experience a good one for my children. Instead the position of the hotel tainted the whole holiday because of the transport problems between the hotel and ski school/nursery slopes was difficult and time consuming. I am very dissappointed. - had I known the true position of the hotel I would not have booked it..I have been mislead.
The staff were very accomodating and helpful. The facilities provided made the storage of ski gear easy also. The bar was very comfortable & loved the open fire. The menu for dinner could be broader. Access for parents with their babies to the Mini-club room would have made a stay so much more enjoyable! The pillows are far too high, and we always awoke with stiff necks.
Rooms had space to have parents and children separate - better sleeping for all! The rooms were very cold, even in August, and the noise from the disco was quite penetrating. Food did not cater well for vegetarians.
location (5 mins form Courchevel 1850), all necessary services provided including ski rental, close to ski slops (about 50-100 metres) to provide more late check-out - till 12-00, to have more personel who speaks English.
pleasant family hotel w/ great views of the mountains, close to walking trails and a heated swimming pool to relax at the end of the day. The room for the adults was comfortable but the area devoted to the children was really small and basically a corridor without enough ventilation if you closed the door to the main room. Breakfast buffet was very good. A little far from the village, but it was nice to have a quiet room.
The room was small, but really clean and provided everything we needed for comfort and a good night's rest. I loved that people had to be quiet by 10:30 or 11:00 at night. We liked the breakfast and the staff was fantastic. I especially liked the bed and the bathroom (and the wonderful gel). I thought it was a great hotel for the money...all of our guests (8 of them) loved it as well. You have to drive to get to shopping or eating places, but that was part of the charm for us. We felt like we were away from everything, but could drive down to the little villes for everything else. We even attended the World Cup downhill ski jumping event in La Praz and saw a fantastic aerial stunt show by the world champion in that field. The villages in this Parc Vanoise are absolutely gorgeous!!
