perfect location and the best breakfast in Greece no
Huge clean room with wonderful views of the rock. Girl on reception very friendly and helpful. Website states hotel is on the bridge. It is not and is on the outskirts of town up a very steep hill.
Terrace with a great view of the old city of Monemvassia. Comfortable air conditioned rooms. Breakfast included.
Bedroom and Lounge very roomy, with views to the mountains behind and the sea and famous Monemvasia Rock/Castle from the front.Family run hotel with great service.
Very clean. Quiet. Great location. Spacious room. Good view. No safe in the room
Very roomy rooms and excellent views.
The view from our balcony was fanastic! The staff was so welcoming! The only disadvantages were the shower which needed to be repaired and too high audubulity from neighbours rooms
The friendlyliness of the staff and the happy environement that they provided
Superb breakfast. Very helpful staff.
nice spacious room with lovely view of the rock of Monemvassia there is no lift, which is difficult for older people like us with heavy luggage.
Very near to the beach, some 30 metres, and a nice view to the rock of Monemvasia. Good breakfast and real value for monew.Leo
Do not go there! It's horrible and expensive Nothing Was Good!
Centrally placed and just 2 minutes from the beach (ok beach but you need bathing shoes because of all the stones). Nice and clean rooms. Frindly staff. Nice balcons with view. A very exciting place with the big cliff - like Gibraltar - and the old city.. Poor breakfast - very ordinary
very noisy, quality/price ratio is not in line with the expectations. Room forniture looked quite old and poor maintnance level.
Very good view to the Rock, yes it has hot water, clean room. Very close to the center of town. Renovation should be done, especially doors should be changed. Poor breakfast.
location and breeze.
Proximity to the beach and town center. Very decent breakfast included. Highly recommend dinner at a nearby ( 15 min drive) sponsored restaurant at hotel guest discounted price of 15eu per person. Room was not very clean and very little staff on duty.
If you prefer to stay outside of Monemvasia this hotel is ok but it is not inside the Kastro ans so I believe the description on web site is misleading " Located in the centre of Monemvasia".To walk the cobblestones paths of the kastro you have to walk 15 minutes to it , this hotel is in an overspill area outside the main Kastro. Room rate of 150 Euros a complete rip off. The breakfast wasonly acceptable if very hungry but not good. The hotel was very poor value for money and there are many other comparable hotels nearby so do not stay at The Flower Of Monemvasia!
Staff are excellent and accomadating. I needed to leave early and the staff were more than helpful in helping me do the paper work the night before and providing a generous breakfast to take to my room for the morning. Shower and bath room facilities. Poor ventilation and no fly screen on the window. Overall I am still positive about my experience.
I'd like the perfect and kindfull service, the location near Monemvasia Rock, the very cosy breakfast room (with its good buffet) e the furniture of the room .
Very hospitable host, free wine and bottled water with room, comfortable beds, delicious included breakfast, nice balcony view, cozy rooms and place in general
The view from our balcony here was amazing, and just as we arrived and sat out on our balcony there were two turtles playing in the water. Superb! Had the all essential fridge in the room! The staff were really friendly and Monemvasia is a lovely place to stay and relax. Definately drive over to the old town and explore as that is Amazing. Can't wait to go back for longer as we were driving around the Peloponnese for 2 weeks so only stayed here for 1 night and would like to go back and stay longer next time. Had a lovely meal just across the road on the waterfront at a Restaurant called Scorpious. The bathroom was a little shabby, but the view more than made up for that and there was hot water so not really a problem!!
The location was good Cleanness is not the strong point of this hotel!
Friendly and helpful staff, perfect location, very clean. Beds not very comfortable.
The location of the guesthouse is excellent and the owner was really friendly. There was nothing I disliked about the Petrino.
the owner is working very hard to make this a nice place, and it shows. ejjoyed stay very much.
Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend it. There is no shower curtain - its a sort of "wet-room".
Large comfortable room with all facilities, stunning views from the balcony. Unique location - the old olive press 'museum' is a one off.
Everything was wonderful during our two night stay. Highly recommend the taverna for dinner. Breakfasts were great. Comfortable and easily accesible to some of the prettiest and nontouristy parts of the Peloponese. Brought home the apricot jam and olives - best ever. wish we brought more home.
The breakfast staff is good, and the location is pleasant. The rooms are very new, though without much charm. No one was present to greet us on our arrival. When we finally tracked the owner down, she claimed our reservation had been canceled, though it hadn't been. We had no hot water that night, the air conditioning malfunctioned, and the Internet service was non-existent (though claimed by the hotel). Badly overpriced.
the staff was very helpful- gave us 2 rooms instead of a quadruple since they had rooms to spare and our kids are older. also the surroundings are very pleasant, good for leisurely country stay though you'll need to get your meals yourselves. the location is hard to find. no internet available. quite overpriced for its location.
5 separate studios and a restaurant surrounded with olive trees and vine. The restaurant is located in an old oil mill and provides local food based on quality products from the village. It is worth a visit even if you don't stay in the studios. A variety of good beaches can be reached in 20-30 minutes by car (Gefyra, Plytra, Achangelos). No WiFi. No pool. AC complicated to operate. Breakfast is simple.
The setting, quality and historical significance of the main building plus the restaurant food was good. The accommodation was in a separate 2 floor block which was not stone built.
I consider that the relation value for money is pretty good. The room was in very good condition and the cleanliness of the room in very good level. Also, I consider that hospitality and service were very good.
The view - very nice staff(owner) The small kitchen needed more plates etc.
The hotel is well located and well equipped for the overseas traveler. Keep it high on your list
Very good price and nice beach not far. The swimming pool was empty. The parking was far from the room.
rooms clean and very nice.sea /castle view-brekfast homemade- friendly hospitality
I would not stay anywhere else in the Monemvasia area if I were going back, which we just might. The owners are awsome. The breakfast wonderful. Super clean place that seems brand new. The room was spacious and imaculate. We loved our stay here. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Highly recomended.
We were upgraded to a larger room which had a large balcony overlooking the sea and the ownner was very welcoming and provided good breakfasts.
One of the best hotels we stayed in. The owners were very kind and helpful, and we felt like home. We highly recommend this hotel.
Cosy place with gentle people! Keep going! Greets Inesita&Walterito
Very hospitable staff felt more like a domatia than a hotel. Nice big rooms, all very clean. They looked very recently build. Great breakfast. Better take enough cash cause credit cards seem to be a bit problematic, there's an ATM in the town. They have a machine but it wasn't working when we were there.
Very nice and helpfull family. Hotel is roughly 3km outside Monemvasia. Our superior double room with seaview had a great view on the sea and the "Monemvasia Rock". Breakfast outside on a great table on the terras Lovingly served. Great wifi coverage & speed, for those who care (men with their electronic toys :-)) It's not necessarily "not liking", but the rooms are rather small. For family with 1 child, room is too small. But with the great weather in Greece, you do not spend time in the room anyway...
Friendly staff, clean room, nice view to the sea Our room was a bit cold in the first night, but it was March and very windy weather, so it's understandable.
The view of Monemvasia fron our room
We stayed for three nights in April. The location is about perfect: our balcony overlooked the Rock and we were on the best stretch of beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby. This small hotel is run by a happy family. The manager has good English and is most hospitable: she brought us some ouzo on the house as we sat in one of the public rooms (she also offered us coffee). An excellent breakfast with brewed coffee was included in the 60 Euro rate.
Brand new hotel. Friendly staff. Near the beach. It was difficult to locate it. Wrong placement on the map.
Very accommodating owner and staff - comfortable and clean
The hotel is very easy to find, and it is close to the island rock fortress of Monemvasia, a major tourist destination. The staff were helpful and accommodating, especially for breakfast. Our room had a wonderful view of the rock fortress.
Very large room. Decent bathroom. Excellent location.
The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. Our room was very large and was located on the sea-side of the hotel and had a direct view of "the Rock" which contains the old town of Monemvassia. The buffet breakfast (included) was plentiful and varied even though there appeared to be only 5 or so people staying in the hotel. The owner was very kind and helpful to us and gave us a bottle of local wine when we departed. We selected this hotel based on its location on the map of Monemvassia on the booking.com site, where it is indicated as being in the old town, that is, after the bridge that takes you to the old town. The hotel is in fact in the new town before the bridge. When I returned home I looked again at the booking.com site and only then did I properly read in the overview section that the hotel is in fact located in the new town. The map needs to be changed to reflect the correct location of the hotel.
The breakfast was very substancial and delicious. Our hostess was very helpful to us and our friends (who did not actually stay at this hotel) by helping us book another hotel in Neapolis. She was very kind to us throughout the day as we were waiting for the bus and keeping our belongings safe at the hotel for us. Thank you so much for your kindness. Iris Field
