Microwave and fridge in room was nice and plenty of tea and coffee. Room clean and good size, newly decorated. Cereal packets replaced when used.
No blind at the skylight window so woke up early and area very noisy. Bars of soap in bathroom not wrapped and looked like they had been used. Corridors smelt. We stayed in ensuite room at the top of the pub so would recommend to go for those rooms as shared toilets etc didn't look too good. TV didn't work properly.
Staff friendiness and helpfulness - good atmosphere pub downstairs. Sky sports on wide screens - even 3d viewing. Fridge, carton of milk and orange juice. Cerial and bowl, Microwave in room!
Access and reception is initially via a pub which does not open till mid- day. (Once checked-in 24 hr access is available)
Cheap, easy and relaxed atmosphere and near to all of my shopping interests.
Lower price and room availability 5 days before due date
Seperated and shared bathroom
Although not offering breakfast, there was a fridge and microwave in the room, and milk, orange juice, cereals and crockery/cutlery. I thought this was a nice touch. Having a handbasin the the room was also a plus.
If I had known it was a PUB, and not a hotel, I wouldn't have booked. The entrance/exit was via a fire escape 2 floors up and the place was a warren of rooms with poorly-lit corridors. As a single woman over 60 with arthritis, it was unsuitable and I did not feel safe staying there. I was not comforted by a notice in the room which said, "In the event of fire, ring 999".
A very pleaseant experience, great location, friendly service, clean accomodation. Very good value for money.
Friendly staff, good safe location
Hotel is above a bar, live music was loud and clear in the room until 1am.
Staff very friendly and helpful
Reasonably priced and staff friendly and helpful, comfey bed.
No hanging or drawer space, sash windows that rattled all night! Not very clean
Room was Clean
Window broken; tv did not work; no bedside table or reading lamp; communal shower was in very poor condition; access was via greasy dangerous metal fire escape. Other guests very noisy throughout the night; only a tiny hand towel provided. No coffee available in room
