Pros: Remote, quiet, fabulous onsite restaurant, attention to detail, eagles circling on the hills in the late afternoon, lovely sitting areas through the hotel. They have done a lovely job to have this place evolve into the popular site it is. Food was superb - and part of the experience. We didn’t get up to the town above - were happy onsite and made the most of being there.
Cons: Drive into town was a little hairy - narrow roads from the valley below. Beautiful and fortunately quiet - but need to toot occasionally going around the corners. Worth the trip though!
Pros: Fantastic location, stunning views.
Pros: Incredible views over the valley. To sit on the terrace with a wine, watching a storm roll in, was a wonderful experience. The building itself is amazing, and the owners have done an excellent job of decorating and styling it with soft furnishings and decor. The service was excellent. We were so pleased with everything.
Cons: We would have loved to have some more information about the history/origins of the beautiful building, and the town itself. Perhaps that could be included in the welcome letter placed in the rooms? It is worth noting that this hotel is not accessible for travellers with mobility limitations.
Pros: The location is stunning! i expected it to be beautiful but it took our breath away. The village in which it is set is also truly unique. The staff were very friendly and made you feel special. Dinner was amazing. This is one place in Spain we didn't do as much sight seeing as the destination was treat enough and super comfortable!
Cons: small quibble, but would have liked coffee services in bed room - but am realizing this is not as common in Spain as a number of places we stayed didn't have this
Pros: A true little paradise. Great food an wine. Nice location to start hiking trips. Finaly a hotel with a mechanical ventilation at the bathroom. All people so helpful
Pros: The place is amazing, different, beautiful. Staff were exceptional, the meals both evening and breakfast were amazing and right up with the best we have ever had and that includes Michelin star Restaurants. It is well worth venturing out of your way to stay at this amazing place.
Cons: The place is difficult to find. Apple Maps is useless, Google Maps will take you to the door. It is well worth the effort. Follow google maps.
Pros: Amazing place with great staff, food and ambience. Rooms were perfect. View is unreal. Can't wait to go back.

Pros: Staff were lovely and we were the only ones in the whole dorm! Wish the restaurant was open because the food looked great! They have a very cute little dog!! Thank you
Pros: The hostel was very clean and the food was great. I wasn’t here during peak vacation season, but it was a steal for the price I paid.
Cons: I could feel they didn’t want me in there place, and for no reason. I was alone in there, no sheets offered, no towell, no kitchen to cook, they only asked me if I had a meal to warm up. Even then I was all by myself and they were doing things in the kitchen and the living room, they didn’t talk to me at all. The lady was exaspereted as she was looking at her computer to find my booking online. I guess they are more welcoming with Spanish people... I will not go back there !
Located in Yesa, Hotel Monasterio de Leyre is on a lake, a 1-minute drive from Monastery of Leyre and 14 minutes from Javier Castle. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Fabulous location, efficient and friendly reception in hotel. Small charge for entry to church and crypt ( key from visitor centre). Room a good size and plenty of storage with comfortable bed. Good self serve breakfast ( cake, pastry, cheese, hams etc), lots of choice. ok coffee and plenty of tea options. You can join in services in the church if you wish and hear the monks sing.
Cons: Evening meal in hotel restaurant was disappointing, very amateurish service and very basic food which could have been cooked better. I know we are in a monastry but if you offer something make it enjoyable to eat! Basic food is fine if its cooked well. Bathroom in room has last guests hair on the floor ( we dont have long black hair!) so cleaning needs to be checked.
Pros: beautiful building lovely quiet location
Pros: What a unique experience to stay in a functioning monastery. It was fascinating to attend marines and experience the monks gregorian chants. The building is stunning, perched ( as they seem to be) high in the cliffs. The restaurant was excellent and staff very helpful.
Pros: Set in a magnificent location nestled against the mountains with sweeping views over the valley below, the Monastery of Leyre and the attached hotel can't fail to impress. Our room was comfortable and clean with a good sized bathroom. There's a bar/cafeteria with an outside terrace for enjoying the peace and the views or inside if the wind is a bit chilly. We didn't have dinner there but the breakfast was good. The real treat was attending the Vespers service in the church sung by the monks, as church and chant were both beautiful. It's out of the way, but we thought it well worth the drive.
Pros: Location stunning. Rooms excellent. Restaurant on site first class. All good v
Pros: Fantastic setting with wonderful views Opportunity to hear the Monks Gregorian chanting Reception staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: Rooms were basic and lacked charm Evening meal was indifferent
Pros: The hotel itself was ok, had everything I needed. Dinner was ok. Breakfast was ok (superb croissants tho). Great thing about that place is it's distinct location overlooking embalse de yesa (reservoir that was half dry at september) and active church with live chants 5 times a day you can visit and enjoy (for free). No air conditioner, take that in mind if you choose visit the place at summertime.
Cons: None for the price
Pros: For a two star it was great
Cons: Awful pillows, bring your own. Bar closes at 19.00
Pros: We stayed 2 nights at this accommodation and really were moved by the Gregorian chanting. The rooms are simple, clean and a nice place to stay.
Cons: It would be nice if the hotel guests had the privelege of seeing the crypts and church, and not pay an extra fee for this.
Cons: The bunk bed mattress (bottom bunk) was terrible. I have never paid money for such a horrible sleepless night. That needs to be replaced! Plus, no kitchen towels.

Cons: Restaurant - expensive and poor quality of food & service
With a stay at Hotel Rural Nobles de Navarra in Aibar, you'll be 23.2 mi (37.4 km) from Bardenas Reales Natural Park and 9.1 mi (14.6 km) from Foz de Lumbier. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice iterior and room. Good breakfast.
Cons: No english, but we have understanding. Hard to find.
Pros: Authentic, stylish and good quality furnishings. Helpful reception and offer of evening meal which we accepted. Selection of local dishes of the chefs choosing were appreciated. Rooms were clean and adequate for our needs. Good value in beautiful small local town of Aibar.
Cons: Poor signage for Hotel maybe because of town rules. Parking difficulties but that is not the Hotel's fault.
Cons: Hotel located on the side of a hill in the middle of a town only with VERY narrow streets. Location was very poorly highlighted. no signposts or pre-contact which was the best way to arrive. No restaurant though food was to be available
Pros: spacious room, quality furnishings, comfortable bed, linens, and pillows
Pros: Stop over en route to Barcelona. It was comfortable and relaxing
Cons: I was travelling by motorbike and I arrived in torrential rain. It is located up a series of very steep lanes and it was difficult to find even with satnag. No evening meal or bar facilities available - requiring a walk into the deserted town. Only parking is some distance away in covered garage-difficult to access when loaded down with luggage
Pros: This was my favorite place we stayed while in Spain! Amazing centuries-old family fortress of a town house - the solid stone walls and ancient wooden beams have been beautifully maintained. Friendly owners, very clean and comfortable, nothing beats the ambiance of the hotel and the medieval cobblestoned hilltop town it is in!
Cons: The only improvement could be breakfast - not a lot of it, and not quite what we expected for $10 (ex: deli ham, not cured jambon), but I think it would have been difficult to find breakfast anywhere else in town. It was bit difficult to get to the hotel following Google maps due to the narrow streets (not made for cars lol!)
Located in Javier, Xabier is on the boardwalk, a 1-minute drive from Javier Castle and 12 minutes from Monastery of Leyre. This hotel has 1615 square feet (150 square meters) of space consisting of conference space and a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful hotel in an excellent location, opposite a large church and castle. Really friendly staff and the food was delicious, lovely outside bar in the shade. Would definitely come back to.
Cons: It’s a bit tired as the hotel is quite old and the room needed a fan as it was rather hot! (33 degrees outside!)
Pros: Location was fantastic with a comfy outside bar area.
Cons: I do not believe the quality of the meal provided was relative to the price. I was overcharged for the meal and the person in charge was keen to tell me who was to blame. I believe it to be incredibly unprofessional to blame individuals in front of a customer.
Pros: Pretty location, good restaurant for dinner. Straight opposite the castle.
Cons: Thin walls we could hear the neighbouring room chatting then snoring. Shower- you had to hold the shower head, making washing your hair awkward.
Pros: Location. Right in front of Javier Castle. What more can you get !
Cons: Car parking directions.
Pros: Beautiful location, lovely staff, good food at the hotel restaurant. Lovely getaway hotel
Cons: The rooms were a little outdated in terms of decor, but otherwise everything was good
Pros: Beautiful location! Close to castle!
This charming hotel can be found in Aibar. With a small number of only 7, this property is very convenient for a quiet stay. Pets are not permitted on the premises.
Pros: Good value for money, clean and modern rooms.
Cons: Room a bit hot during summer days, do have fans.
Pros: The place was clean. The only good point.
Cons: Freezing cold. The heating started at 18:00. The room was something like 10 degrees. I guess it started to be at a decent temperature when I was leaving the next morning. The personnel totally unprofessional. The worst location in the town.
Pros: Very clean and comfortable.
Pros: The location was very central and the apartment had plenty of space
Cons: The only issue we had was that the instructions we got told us our accommodation was not at the main hostal which was in the photos on booking.com. We were given an address in the centre of the town beside a pizzeria. In error we went to the main hostal and then realised our mistake. So we walked to the address of our apartment that we were given but it was locked. Our instructions said if no one there to ring a number which we did. We were told to walk back to the hostal to collect the key. So - after walking 23km already on the Camino we ended up having to walk an extra km in total to finally get into our apartment accommodation. If the instructions and description of the accommodation had been clearer/more accurate this place would have got a 10 from us.
Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: WiFi only in public area.

Cons: Quite far from the town centre.
Pros: Location and reasonably priced cafeteria. Was very clean. Staff were efficient and friendly.
Cons: Uncomfortable and squeaky bed. Very hot room. No locks on windows so felt insecure. Decor was tired especially in bathroom.
Pros: The only good think was the restaurant
Cons: The room the bathroom
Pros: The cost n/
Pros: The gleaming corridors illustrate that the standard of cleanliness is very high. The food was excellent and the staff are lovely and so helpful. We were also able to check in early which was very convenient.
Cons: We were on the ground floor and we could not have an open window overnight.

Cons: You can hear every sound from the floor or neighbour room through the walls.
