The rooms were filthy! Walls, floors, bathroom, and bed. Bugs flying around! Took shower with my flip flops on! Would never waste my money here again! The lightning inside was terrible! Had to keep the curtains open to be able to see inside the room during the day!
I have stayed at the Baymont several times over the course of the past year, and the only complaint I have about any of my stays is that one member of the cleaning staff consistently comes and knocks on doors well before check out time and then seems irritated if you're not already gone or in the process of leaving. When I pay for a hotel room, I have that room up until my checkout time, and I do not appreciate having my sleep disturbed by a member of staff when I did not request a wake up call. I also do not appreciate repeated visits to my room to see if I'm still in (this has only happened on one occasion). The rest of the staff (including the other cleaning staff members) are all always welcoming and friendly. Just remember to put up a 'Do Not Disturb' sign before heading to bed if you don't want to risk a less than friendly awakening from one certain member of staff!
Room was small, old and dirty. Even my boyfriends 6 years old child said she like the other hotal we were staying at the night before in Atlanta. So even a child can tell when a place is run down. There are like 2 other hotels on the same street, pick one of those. Their pool was nasty and green. I will not stay there again.
We booked a double room for four adults, but when we arrived, we realized the room was too small. We asked to upgrade to a suite. We paid double the original price for a 'jacuzzi suite,' which turned out to be just two adjoining rooms. There *was* a jacuzzi--but it was an older standard sized tub with jacuzzi jets. The lock on the outside door of the second room did not work--the clerk said families with small children didn't want the kids to get out. That didn't make sense because you could exit the door but not get back in unless you went through the jacuzzi room!! There were hairs from a previous guest on the vanity...yuk. The carpeting was suspect--we didn't really want to take off our shoes. The breakfast included was not appetizing--we ended up going to McDonalds just a few feet away. The original price was very low...but the upgraded 'suite' price was more than other suites would have been. We would have cancelled the room and stayed at one of the better hotels adjoining, but the reservation rules were no cancellations. I can see why, since the hotel was below par. I won't make that mistake again.
We thought this was a decent place to stay. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The bedding and linens were crisp and clean. I didn't wake up in time to try the continental breakfast, but my husband enjoyed it very much. The manager was very visible and seemed to keep a good eye on things. Overall this was a good value for our dollar. Nothing fancy, but a nice place to stay overnight and get a good nights sleep.
The hotel was clean. It did not seem to be very old. The continental breakfast was small and simple, but adequate. It has a pretty good location, next to nice restaurants and stores. Good value for the money.
Stayed at this hotel for the entire week (July 7, 2008) and was very happy with the accomadations. Fairly new facility and well maintained. I reported a slow drain in the tub on the first day and it was fixed promptly. Clean room and bathroom with comfortable bed, quiet, (upstairs and around the back of the site) and friendly staff. Business center computer very slow and 'high speed internet' was a little sketchy from the room on my laptop. I have return work in the Macon area in the near future and will not hesitate to stay again. Several places to eat and shop right nearby. Plenty of parking even with many guests on Friday night.
not a 5 star hotel, but overall it was a good room for what i paid desk clerk wasnt extremely hospitable, but not quite rude either, would stay there again
Very dirty room, not new as listed in coupon book.
