Skipjack Resort, Suites & Marina is located in the heart of Marathon in the Florida Keys. This tropical resort hotel features a 54-slip marina and a traditional tiki bar stationed poolside. There is also an on site casual restaurant that serves the freshest seafood in the Keys. The hotel and resort is just steps from Boot Key Harbor, offering 60 guest suites with amazing views and deluxe amenities for all guests. The hotel is close to the Dolphin Research Center, water sports activities and attractions, Curry Hammock State Park, and plenty of options for dining, shopping, and nightlife within walking distance. Guests can also visit the Turtle Hospital, Sombrero Beach, Key West, Bahia Honda State Park, and more.

The Skipjack Resort, Suites & Marina provides complimentary WiFi throughout the resort, including in every guest suite. Standard rooms all include a writing desk, two flat-screen TVs, modern accommodations, and private baths with deluxe furnishings. Upgraded suites offer additional living space, separate dining areas, private balconies, and optional kitchenettes or appliances. Pros:The location was within walking distance of work I was there for. Staff were very helpful and cheerful. My room overlooked boats docked at the marina. My kind of thing
Cons:They are in the process of remodeling and updating. My room had not been updated yet so was a little worn but served fine.

Pros:We enjoyed the location of Sombrero hotel and the free use of their boat ramp and trailer parking they offer to guests. The marina is about a 30 minute ride from Sombrero Reef Light.
Cons:Some of the property appeared to be occupied by extended stay patrons that enjoyed settling their domestic problems at midnight over a few too many drinks. Some nights were less than restfull. We got our money worth from the stay. Not unhappy.

Pros:Staff . AC in MB was nice and cold. Plenty of hot water. Close to the Tri event we went there in the first place. Great view of the canal and the boats

Pros:Check in was easy. Check out was easy. A nice clean quiet beach was about five minutes down the street, and a Kmart and grocery store was at the corner. The bartender was friendly and had decently priced drinks. Parking was easy.
Cons:The desk staff was impatient and rude when there was more than one customer in the lobby. I couldn't believe the way they talked to people on the phone. I had to come back to the front desk about an hour after checking in and the lady didn't even remember me and treated me like I was a nuisance. They require a photocopy of your credit card when you check in. The rooms had mold on the bathroom ceiling and the carpets felt mildewed and were stained, and the lighting was minimal and dingy. My room was ony fully serviced one night. The second night they only took trash and left no clean towels and the last two nights there was no service at all. There is no night attendant or phone in the room. The wifi works but it took me asking the bartender to get the correct password. Cost was cheap but I wish I'd sucked it up and spent more at a cleaner and more hospitable hotel. Luckily I spent all my time outside at other places. Fyi, there's no marina there, and it's FAR from being a resort.

Pros:I loved the kichen and space. The front door opened to a wide canel with beautiful sailboats and yachts tied up. I loved the view. Nice breeze. 2nd floor so I could the stairs. Elevator slow.
Cons:They are renovating, for the next year. From 8:30am to 5:30/6pm. First morning out my front door using a lift to get to roof, which beeped anytime it moved up or down. Last night came back to room to change at 5pm and they were jack hammering my patio.
