Skipjack Resort, Suites & Marina is located in the heart of Marathon in the Florida Keys. This tropical resort hotel features a 54-slip marina and a traditional tiki bar stationed poolside. Cons (-) They are in the process of remodeling and updating. My room had not been updated yet so was a little worn but served fine.
Pros (+) We enjoyed the location of Sombrero hotel and the free use of their boat ramp and trailer parking they offer to guests. The marina is about a 30 minute ride from Sombrero Reef Light.
Cons (-) Some of the property appeared to be occupied by extended stay patrons that enjoyed settling their domestic problems at midnight over a few too many drinks. Some nights were less than restfull. We got our money worth from the stay. Not unhappy.
