The owner and staff gave us a great welcome and good service throughout. We only stayed 8 nights rather than the 9 we booked and I paid the proprietor 400.00euros. The reason for curtailment was the need to leave the island of Evia in time to catch plane home.
The surrounding area and the view was very good The hotel was 2 stars (written at room doors) but also looks like 2 stars, on your site it is presented as three stars. It was my first time (in a 3 star hotel??) that in bathroom there was disposable plastic glasses.
Very good location. pool, friendly hosts Rooms are large, but old-fashioned
Very helpfull personal, clean rooms with wave, private a care parking, hotel nearest in very beautiful mountain roade and sea panorams, and smaal beach. poor brekfast
Nice view. Too much noise so we couldn't rest!a new hotel is now building next to the hotel. Very poor breakfast. Very uncomfortable beds. No sound proof between the rooms; we could hear the conversation of the next room! Vey small balcony with spiders but nice view. Although we wanted to stay more we left and went to a brand new hotel in Karistos and paid only 85 euros per night and it was on the beach!
Hotel is situated in a very nice location.Sea View rooms are preferred. The garden and external area of the hotel are very good decorated & maintained.Friendly staff. Hotel management has to decide the renovation of main spaces e.g toiletes in the pool (in a very bad condition, furniture in rooms, sunbeds in the pool almost all of them are too old and broken!!!),breakfast has to be enriched,
Kind staff, recently renovated lobby and outside. The room needs renovation. The shower and the balcony were a bit dirty. Poor breakfast.
Our stay was very nice. We would stay there again - and will....... Just the long walk up a hill........
I really enjoyed the breakfast and the swimming pool. Also the personel was very kind to me. i didnt like the prices at the italian restaurant, I found it slightly expensive.
If you are looking for somewhere quiet to relax.the hotel is fairly old but is gradually being renovated.I have stayed here many times and it suits me well .I will go back.
Excellent service at check-in. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Great location close to city but yet in a quiet location. Nice sea views from all the rooms, but the rooms at the front offer the best direct sea view. Overall a very nice hotel and excellent value for money. The rooms and bathroom need a renovation. It would then be a nice boutique hotel in a perfect location. Some noise late at night from the nearby beach bar could be annoying during the weekend, but this is the responsibility of Police rather than the Hotel.
My stay at the Karystion Hotel was great. The staff was incredibly gentle and kind with us, the rooms clean and confortable, and even the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel is placed over a nice beach and very close to the village and the museum. I recommend it to everyone who wants to visit Karysto.
It is placed at a superb location, next to the seaside. Excellent pine trees at the back yard. Magnificent sea view. Very friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Internet connection could be faster and available to all areas. Breakfast could have more variety, e.g. it could include a buffet with hot breakfast as well (however current breakfast service helpfull and polite staff is quite an advantage)
Location of the hotel is excellent: it is surrounded by a small park, very close to the beach. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Terrace and lobby are very impressive. Our triple room was actually a double room with an extra bed; not much space for a couple with a child. The included breakfast is not a buffet, very limited choice.
great location for beach and town, just outside main area of town, so quiet at night. extremely helpful and friendly staff. good restaurant.
hotel staff was very kind and the view was very nice. lack of elevator
Good hotel. Friendly and highly professional staff. Clean room with beatiful sea view. Very close to the beach,
The hotel was in all respects one of the most comfortable we have stayed in
We've visited many, many Greek islands (and a lot of the mainland) and stayed in a lot of hotels over the last 27 years and this one is up there with the best of them. The staff are all very friendly, speak good American English and provide excellant service in reception, over breakfast and new sheets every day for their very comfortable beds. The location is ideal on a wooded promontory jutting out between a sandy bay 9 excellent beach bar) and Frankish castle with the many genuine local tavernas (no menus, little English - except for the excellent Cavadoro - just point at the pot) a brief five minute walk down the broad promenade fronting the harbour. The lounge, dining and terrace areas are stylish and comfortable with subdued lighting. The rooms and balconies are a bit poky but not too bad by Greek standards. The layout was also a bit Greek 70's style - with a wardrobe door open you couldn't access the bathroom. There's good sea views all round but the trees to the front need the attention of a tree surgeon very soon if they are to be preserved.
Nice location and view from the room. Good price Overall room condition
