Pros: great location, close to MRT and HSR train ,great location, close to MRT and HSR tranin
Cons: AC did not cool properly, could not get room below 72 f / /22.5 C, even leaving it on all day. big disappointment for me, when it is as hot and Humid as Taipei is.
Pros: This is a large boutique hotel, so you either love it or hate it. I loved it. It does have a dark look, but the quality of the interior is terrific. The detail in the room, everything from the desk to the venting of the air-conditioning is very well done.
Cons: If you like to walk around, it's a little far from major attractions. The hotel was kind enough to arrange a cab for me anytime I needed it.
Pros: Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food.
Cons: Facilities - a swimming pool and a spa would be great additions

Pros: The location is great.Breakfast was good and the staff were really nice and helpful.
Cons: It is very easy to miss the entrance the first time you get there and the signs are not so great either. The outside entrance area should be improved ASAP. And another thing - the level of cleaning and maintenance in the bathroom should be improved.
Just 3 minutes to walk to Jiantan MRT Station, and it's convenient to take MRT to Taipei Main Station. As soon as you enter the building, you will feel like walking into a designed building like art to appreciate. Moreover, our hotel greetings from our staff will make you feel friendly and like at home in the journey.
Pros: The availability of variety for food and drinks in the same building were great when we were too tired to come up with somewhere to go for food. Location was awesome for shopping and some of the the big sites. Very close to the metro, but cabs are so inexpensive and accessible that we were able to get those to head to destinations too far to walk.
Cons: We were bummed that the mineral pools were not open during our January stay. There was no advance warning on their website about it being seasonal or under construction.

Pros: It is beautiful, classy and full of history. But some facilities are too old and need updates. It took a long walk to get to my room. since I had knee joint problem, it was a painful experience.
Pros: There's a bus to take you to and from the airport right to the hotel for approximately $3. It's convenient to get to the National Palace Museum, a fabulous museum of Chinese art. The restaurant is OK, but we enjoyed the club restaurant which is on the campus.
Cons: This is a hotel catering to tour groups. We had a small room with nice bath, but it was on the inside so no windows. We used the concierge who went out of her way to help us but the front desk was less helpful.

A fitness center and an outdoor tennis court are other highlights, and rooms at this luxurious hotel offer up nice touches like bathrobes and pillowtop beds with Egyptian cotton sheets.
Cons: buffet breakfast is not as good as used to be, compare with my last year stay.
Pros: This is a very elegant hotel with a wonderful layout. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and very clean, with spacious bathrooms and a very comfortable bed. The staff were incredible. They all displayed high quality customer service and were extremely helpful, from getting us taxis to helping us find local places to eat as well as suggestions of where to go to see things in Taipei. The breakfast was very well organized and had a mix of western and Chinese food. One of the Manager's Johnny was very kind and respectful and always made sure that we were happy. The whole stay was amazing and would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Taipei. For the service and amenities this hotel offered I believe this was an excellent deal in terms of cost. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future.
Pros: service was excellent, location great
Cons: neighborhood didn't have stores that were of interest to walk to.
Pros: The staff lived up to its reputation as being both friendly and helpful. Also, we visited the Shangri-La while in Taipei and glad we stayed at the Landis. The other hotels had an industrial feel and totally impersonal. Will be returning.
Cons: The only complaint was that the beds were a bit hard, but not a deal breaker.
