Adal and Ben are lovely, intellectuals, lovely couplel. The stuff where amzing. Eco-frendly place in a another new level. Thay have three amzing dogs who love to go with you anywhere, especially to the beach. The food is amazing and I can't understand how it is a a perfect place for vegan 10/10, each, from breakfast to dinner, was creative and lovly. And the eco awareness is beyond describing. And finally the views 10/10. So in totally 57/10.
The food at all meals was of a very high standard and presented well. The staff at all levels were exceptional- so pleasant and willing and all very helpful indeed. The cottage was well sited, very well constructed with a lovely view offerring solitude and comfort.
It was good in every way- I cannot think of anything that needs improving
Everything from the staff, facilities, activities, and surroundings were all truly amazing, however it was definitely the food that was the stand out feature of this place. Best food we have eaten (especially the seafood for dinner) with such consideration to use local ingredients and recipes. We also especially loved hanging out at the beach with the resident dogs who were so loving and protective. We got to visit the nearby village and watch their popular local football matches, Edu taught us so much about local village life and about the surrounding nature and wildlife- the knowledge we gained we will never forget! Ben and Adel went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special for us and we really appreciated all the special touches they made for us.
Other than the remote location and access ( which is actually a positive) can't fault it!
We loved everything about Travessia - the accommodations, the staff, the views. It was a perfect honeymoon location.
It's a far drive from South Africa!
Edu, the caretaker, was very nice and came to pick us up, as we didn't had a 4x4 car. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and attentive to our needs. The isolate location making it seem your on your own private beach. The restaurant served simple, honest cooked food, which revealed to be the best food we ate in Mozambique.
The road to the Lodge is a bit rocky and bumpy, you need a 4x4 car otherwise you can leave your car at the Chef's vila House for a fee of 500 meticais. The room was beautiful but the ceiling allows the wind to pass through which, at night, wasn't so pleasant. There is only WiFi in the main house. The pool is very small and the surrounding resting area is also small.
When you stay at Travessia Beach Lodge in Morrumbene, you'll be on the beach and 15.3 mi (24.7 km) from Massinga Square. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
