You will stay on the grounds of a 500-year-old water mill that today serves as a modern hydroelectric power station and supplies our hotel with sustainable energy. The surroundings of De Hoogmolen exude an atmosphere of peace, nature and history. Located on the picturesque Abeek Valley, surrounded by green forests and the splashing sound of the water that flows past the mill. The Hoogmolen itself is a charming watermill that has its origins in the Middle Ages. All renovated rooms have been furnished with care. A refined combination of natural materials and warm colors create a harmonious atmosphere. Enjoy a delicious Nespresso, tea, water or a cool drink from the minibar (on request). From spring/summer 2024, our renovated brasserie with cozy terrace and play area will (re)open its doors for the smallest visitors. This way you can enjoy the tastiest (regional) dishes again. The presence of cycling junctions, walking junctions and a equestrian and driving route network that run close to the domain offer various options for exploring the area. Rider and horse are more than welcome; Horses can stay in a spacious meadow with horse stables on the property while the rider can stay in the hotel. Besides walking, cycling and horse riding, you can also ski/snowboard in the nearby indoor ski slope, swim in the neighboring subtropical swimming pool, visit local breweries, discover surrounding nature reserves.
