The Red Roof Inn PLUS Miami Airport is a pet friendly, family friendly hotel at the Miami International Airport (MIA). This hotel is close to South Beach and American Airlines Arena.
Location was great! Free shuttle to the airport.
Loud, could hear doors slamming most of the night. Mold in the bath room.
Price and free shuttle to cruise ship.
Staff was very rude and understaffed. I read this in quite a few reviews before booking and got what I expected. I also read the shuttle was a long wait and that ended up being true. Only book if tou are cheap like me.
Close to the airport Free shutlle from the airport Reasonable price With a grocery store where you can buy some snacks an emergency stuff
My departure was at 3:00 in the morning and there was no shuttle at that hour so I had to take a Taxi The ligth of the hall where the sink was.... didnt work
Terrible experience, will not recommend to anyone . Rooms were dirty, everything looked so dated. Continental breakfast had mold on the breads.
The whole place was dirty our shower has hair all over it the blankets appeared dirty there was trash all over between the two buildings and the receptionists was extremely rude and un helpfulp. When i called in advance we were told there was a shuttle from the airport and that didnt happen we had to take a 20 dollar cab for a5 min ride.
My son found a used condom behind of the bed
Paid 100 plus for the night and got dilapidated old rooms, they were also not cleaned. Bagels in the break fast had mold. I will never stay in the red roof again.
Perfect for the night before a cruise. No restaurants nearby was the only problem. We ordered a pizza...it took over 90 min. to arrive. Hotel was perfect. Friendly staff... nice sized room. Budget hotel breakfast... nothing fancy.. adequate. Excellence transfer to ship service. No complaints.
Im really happy with the service,
Staff was very accommodating in making arrangements to get to the Port. I left my tablet behind, but staff took care of it until my return and made sure I was the owner before releasing it. I appreciated the security.
Continental breakfast could use some improvement.
Needs a lot improvement on their service, cleanliness
Nice rooms, clean, no bugs. Has a little store, great pool, small breakfast for free. Safe. Close to airport. Every 30 minutes they will pick you up - no charge. They offer cheap Cruise Port transportation. $10. Excellent Front Desk staff!! We would stay here again.
Tired building needs a renovation. Air conditioners in the rooms desperately need updating! So close to the airport that the planes pull their wheels up over your head at the pool! Super loud. Didn't bother me after awhile. Absolutely no where to eat. Never eat at the place next door. Taxi needed for anything. Expensive! They won't take you even 5 minutes away to Kmart! The Main building with the king beds is better than the building in the back with the queen beds. I think if the hotel doesn't have a restaurant or any food - they should consider offering rides to places to eat.
The ppl that work there are very professional and attentive
The location was great and the staff was very courteous.
Huge holes in the wall next to the air-conditioners , lights over the sink didn't work, Television only got one channel, the room was dirty, air-conditioning in the first room didn't work and the second room just stayed on cold.
Great place for the price. The pool was surprisingly nice.
Breakfast was subpar.
Some of the staff have a clue.
Some of the staff have no clue. Upon checking in I was assigned a room in a section of the building that was blocked off due to construction; caution tape and ripped up floor and all. I had to go all the any there to find out, because the front desk had no idea those rooms were out of commission. How is that possible? Only after coming back to the front desk and waiting a further ten minutes for a room to be found we're we able to actually try and get some rest. The clientele left a lot to be desired. On our way from the front desk to the room we had to pass through clouds of smoke. Next to the door to our building a man was sitting on a bench, shoeless, shirtless and stinking, surrounded by a pile of ash. This was a "plus" location (whatever that means in this context). Needless to say, our stay was in no way worth the money we paid. we will not be visiting the red roof Inn again.
Close to airport
Proximity to the airport, shuttle to the airport.
The noise, the air conditioner did not graduated the temperature, it was freezing or hot.
Front desk staff.
It was dirty. They Tried to cover the smell of it with air freshners. Not enough towels. Towels had other people's hair on them. Beds are really uncomfortable. No good restaurants in walking distance. Not enough parking. Hallways are dark and creepy.
The hotel was close to the airport and the cost was the cheapest in the area for a name brand hotel.
Had to do some touch up cleaning in the room. Lots of families, guessing pre-cruise stays. Lots of noise in the hallways with kids and adult and staff. May not be your best place to get a restful nights sleep. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, just and endless supply of plain white bagels and toast....nothing else.
The price is definitely right. Convenient to everything we wanted to do--Warehouse District, art collections. Clean and comfortable. Really busy, however. Fairly noisy. Planes overhead but not a big deal. Also, not a lot of parking. Couldn't park in their lot. Again, not a real problem. Breakfast is REALLY crowded and not worth the stress of fighting the crowds. Spend 3 dollars next door. I would stay again. Nice pool.
Too busy. Not enough parking. Breakfast is really basic.
Because we had waited almost 1 hr for shuttle which never showed, manager reimbursed taxi fare. Value for money
Shuttle did not show up at airport previous AC had left water on room floor
The room looked nice
The room had no a/c and was burning hot, the wi-fi didn't work, and the free breakfast was none existant.
Hair in bathtub. Soft drink left on closet shelf.
The location to MIAMI Airport was excellent and the Free Shuttle. These were the two main points for me to book this place.
Extremely hot inside the lobby. My room was like a smelly sauna. Air conditioning did not work. WIFI did not work. Breakfast was not worth it. One of the worst hotels I've stayed at this year and I stay it a lot of cheaper hotels and motels.
The room was well distributed
Elevator smell like dog
Nothing It's not up to my standard when booking a hotel.
The check in was a nightmere. I arrived with my confirmation number and they told me I could not check in until I provided a voucher which I never did receive from KAYAK.I contacted kayak customer service which they were very nice, but had to wait almost an hour before I was able to check in. The room was directly across from the elevator which is in dire need of service due to the loud noise it makes when the call button is pushed from any floor. I listened to the elevator screeching noise every time someone pushed the call button all night. Not exactly sure I would ever use KAYAK again to book my hotel.
Good value, closeness to airport.
Parking spaces limited when hotel is at full occupancy. WiFi can be improved. Limited eating facilities nearby within walkig distance, but overall a good value and will definitely stay again.
Proximity to airport and price.
Breakfast was very meager.
Continental Breakfast is a complete JOKE. Nothing but bread with butter and cupcakes. Seriously?
Location is good if you consider the proximity to the airport. About 30-40 mins drive to South beach or North Beach!
The room didn't have a digital temperature controller. Would get too cold or too hot.
The car service red roof referred me to called "rent a car miami" is a scam! Please do not rent from them trust me!
Convenient location near the airport Decent price
The hotel is quite old and in need of care. It was very different from the pictures, which showed it to be in a much better state. The doors don't have sufficient sound insulation making allowing all sort of sounds to travel and sleep can be disturbed by other guests. Breakfast was very limited. Some staff didn't speak English.
