Montañita Cabañas

The cabanas are clean, well set up, and the garden is very nice. The pool and hot tub are a hit, and the hot tub is, if anything, a bit too warm. When there are a number of guests there, things go very well.

Internet was quite good, but one night was tremendously noisy. Also, no one was awake when I arrived at 2:30 PM. It took 75 minutes and some help to get in. Towels were not in the rooms, and one had to pay a $10 deposit per towel.

The manager and attendees were great. They were good at communicating before arrival and accommodating of date changes.

The hotel is very close to everything, and the rooms are great. The pool is even better and surrounded by nature, it feels like an oasis. However, it can be noisy on the weekend late from other locales.

The cabin we were lodging in had a stale smell most likely from the air not circulating. However, the pool, Jacuzzi, and lounge area were a nice touch. The hot water in the showers was a perfect temperature.

Some guests mentioned that the hotel is close to a nightclub, resulting in loud music and cigarette smoke entering the rooms. Consider requesting a room away from the nightclub to ensure a quieter stay.

A few guests recommended bringing insect repellent to combat any potential bug issues, especially in the outdoor areas such as the garden and pool.

Before arrival, it's advisable to confirm the room amenities and ensure that there are enough blankets provided, especially if visiting during colder months, as some guests mentioned feeling cold at night due to insufficient bedding.

To fully enjoy the hotel's facilities and ensure a vibrant atmosphere, consider visiting during peak season when there are more guests, as some visitors noted that the experience was better when the hotel was busier.

If arriving early, it's recommended to communicate with the hotel in advance to arrange for an early check-in, as a few guests encountered delays and had to wait for access to their rooms upon arrival.

Some guests experienced noise disturbances, particularly on weekends, from neighboring establishments. Being aware of this can help manage expectations, especially for those sensitive to noise.

A couple of guests mentioned a stale smell in the cabins, which was resolved by opening windows and using air freshener. Packing air freshener may be helpful for a more pleasant initial room atmosphere.
