I like that the staff was extremely helpful with giving me and my family places to go that was around in the area. Knowing what will be a good fit or looking up something for us. They help with directions to get to what sounded best. The hotel is in the middle of everything around. So there will be a drive when staying.
Looked to be built in the 70's old style but great place to stay on a budget. Girlfriend and I went for a Christmas vacation to Ski at TimberLine ski resort. For the skiing the snow was terrible, icy. For the hotel well taken care of, bed was comfortable, and hot showers. If you don't need luxury stay here. Oh and pets are welcome, exactly what I was looking for. Friendly Staff. Munchies within walking distance. Outdated appliances. TV stations were fuzzy.
NICE VIEW NO MICROWAVE OR REFRIGERATOR
The lodge is located in a beautiful area with lots of hiking. It has the only wifi around. The fact that there was a pool was nice. Rooms are old and smell musty. Staff not very friendly.
Very beautiful setting for anyone wants to get away. Cost was to high for this place. Not worth what charging. Waterfalls beautiful but trees fallen down not cleared. Hotel shows pics, but actual a lot smaller. No fridge, ice maker broke????? In Summer for real????
Beautiful surroundings and close proximity to other attractions. Universal heat set WAY too high! 84 degrees in our room. Had to run AC unit full time. The AC unit had an inoperable thermostat so had to be switched on and off manually. For this reason it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. Staff poor also.
There was an indoor pool, game room and fitness center. We liked the lodge feel of the big common area with puzzles and games near the fireplace. The rooms weren't huge, but they were clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast buffet was great! We were supposed to get a park view room but we didn't.
Beautiful location and warm 'lodge' atmosphere.
Very beautiful and relaxing. Quiet. Just what we were looking for. The restaurant was not the greatest. The staff was on the ball and very friendly, but the food was not very good.
The hotel is beautiful, clean, and well managed. The morning breakfast buffet in the Hickory room was very good and well priced. It is close to major outdoor adventures. We will be back! No.
Fun activities out and about town. Brand new and clean rooms. Great place to disconnect from city life for a few days. Wi-Fi available so you can still 'check in' to work/home/etc. Staff didn't seem to know how to print receipts for credit cards. Never got a receipt for the geocaching GPS rental because they didn't know how. Trails were very muddy and unkempt.
Location of Hotel
The location and walking/hiking trails are world class - especially the ski area trail from top downward - A walking stick is essential!!!! Kudos to the dining, café, recreation and front desk staff who were all friendly and helpful!!!!!! The daily cleaning of the room was acceptable but could have been better. The soup was too salty
Cleanliness, polite staff and overall the resort had everything
Wonderful lodge. Has a fresh, new, upscale feeling. 3 years old and still looks a brand new. Rooms are big and comfortable. Highly recommend.
I was made aware that others who stayed at the hotel got the second night free because they reserved the room late. We had to pay for both nights because I booked the room well in advance. This was unfair; the stay was for the same 2 nights.
Location was great. Staff not real helpful or friendly. Staff not real friendly. Room not especially clean. I found change in the floor, gave me the impression that the floor wasn't clean. The trash can in the bathroom still had trash in it.

It was very easy to sign in and sign out The Hickory Dining was very expensive. The staff was not very friendly.
See below The hotel messed up our reservation. Only had one room available when we reserved two. So, we were unable to stay and had to drive 4 hours back home that evening.
There was a lot to do. The view was breath taking. I loved all the huge windows that you.could see the great view.
