A very charming hotel with friendly and helpful staff. As it is a bit offside of the Townlet Muir of Ord it was quite good that they served an excellent dinner. The small bar in the annex was quite comfy and good value for money. Breakfast was excellent. Close to the Glen Ord Distillery.
The ambience of both place and staff
All fine. Only stayed one night so not long enough for a real review.
Nothing. All fine
The setting of the hotel was great. The staff were very friendly. The whole experience was what we’d expect from a quality Scottish hotel. The food and service were outstanding.
The only issue I had was that the driveway (long) to the hotel needs repair.
Absolutely gorgeous XVII century mansion in the beautiful area of Black Isle. Great and comfy drawing rooms with sofas, armchairs, fireplace, and books. Highly recommended to spend ta least one relaxing evening there. An atmosphere of being invited for a weekend at your noble friends. Our room was lovely decorated with floral patterns. We had an ensuite bathroom with a bath. Fantastic breakfast (try scramlbe eggs with salmon). Love;y dogs live there. Highly recommended and will certainly will come back
Despite the fact that they are honoured with a lot of prizes for their cuisine, we thought that our dinner was moderately tasty. Try local beers, though))
Ord House is a country house hotel located in the Scottish Highlands along the North Coast 500 Route, 25 minutes north of Inverness. The historic 17th century house is nestled within a 30-acre private estate, away from the hustle and bustle but close to local attractions such as the famous Glen Ord Distillery (just 5 minutes walk away). Our twelve en-suite guestrooms are comfortable and spacious and have views over the garden. All of our rooms feature hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries and free Wi-Fi. Our guests can relax next to log burning fires in our front reception rooms or at the bar, where they can enjoy a selection of locally produced drinks. The hotel serves AA Rosette Award winning food, with emphasis on using fresh, locally sourced produce. Dogs are welcome for a small cleaning fee of 5£/dog/night.
