The hotel has recently undergone refurbishment, its facade features seven arched windows from which guests enjoying breakfast or a mid-morning coffee can survey the hustle and bustle of downtown Munich. Interiors make extensive use of light colours and combined with subtle lighting this creates a relaxing and clean effect. The privately owned hotel prides itself in its breakfast, included in the price that far exceeds what guests would usually expect from a three-star establishment. A freshly baked basket with Bavarian 'Brezen', rustic farmer's loaves, and whole wheat rolls served with a variety of sausages, cheese, ham, olives, free range eggs and a variety of yoghurts never fails to impress. The breakfast and tea room also has a small business lounge, with an Internet connection and printer that can be used for small events, presentations and meetings. Hotelissimo Haberstock has an unbeatable location in the city-centre, 2 minutes from the Central Train Station with U-Bahn subway and S-Bahn urban railway and tram connections offering direct access to the whole of Munich and the surrounding area. Karlsplatz, the Kunstbau (international art museum) and the pedestrian shopping zone that leads down to Marienplatz square and world-famous Viktualienmarkt (Munich's main food market with an amazing array of fresh produce) are also nearby. The centre of the world-renowned Oktoberfest beer festival, Theresienwiese, is also within easy walking distance.
