When arriving at the Roam Inn, the façade of the building just screams “adventure”, and with Munising Bay just outside the doorstep along with the Hiawatha National Forest, it is clear that adventure will carry the day when you stay at this hotel. As for water sports, there is kayaking, swimming, fishing, and more available while the forest has many great hiking trails. One of the best things about the resort is how small it is, and the on-site restaurant, Tracey’s, provides that intimate atmosphere along with some exceptional dining. On the menu at Tracey’s are favorites such as crab cakes, an assortment of seafood dishes that come from the nearby waters, and even some of the best burgers in town.

As for the rooms at the Roam Inn, be prepared for extra special attention because when you stay there, you are occupying 1 of 18 different rooms. The rooms are divided as 9 single rooms and 9 suites. However, the upper level of the Lumber Baron home is the site of 4 of the best rooms on the property, and three of these rooms have balconies that will give guests one of the best views to be had of the bay. Of all the suites, the Lumber Baron suite is the most spacious and has the most room for guests and larger parties.
