8.5 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room and great breakfast buffet.
Cons: Walls and ceilings were very thin. We could hear everyone talking and moving around in adjacent rooms. It sounded like there were elephants stampeding above us all night. Difficult to sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best of the rooms with all amenities. Fabulous Breakfast. Perfectly located, just out of the main entrance of the Park gate.
Cons: Wifi - The internet provided sucks !!! Too slow :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Complimentary breakfast was awesome. Best bacon ever. Location was also great; easy to get to Bryce for sunrise if you wish.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All good.
Cons: Is there an easier way to find my Best Western rewards #? Can't it just be linked to my name and address? Can BW send an electronic card to my phone that I can flash to the desk clerk? Come on people, this is the electronic age. Please make it easier to find. Thanks!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Quiet. Good breakfast, including Cholula at every table! Room was clean and spacious. If you don't get to breakfast until 9am you might miss some of the selection.
Cons: Staff could be friendlier. Needs an indoor hot tub. Elevator was slow and heater in the room was pretty loud. Beds were pretty uncomfortable (lumpy). Extended breakfast hours for New Year's Day would be nice. Shower drain was slow to drain/partly clogged.
5.1 Okay
Pros: The room was thoroughly clean as promised
Cons: Staff and manager were confused over Kayak reservation. They were not very polite. The sanitation on the breakfast bar is questionable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fast check-in, clean rooms, and a great breakfast at a really good price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice lobby décor. Nice rooms. Located near the entrance to Bryce.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: after a long day of hiking, this hotel had the best bed and shower. Also, great breakfast in the am.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I booked a king size room from getaroom recommended on Kayak. Received verification of king bed. After checking in, I went to the room and found it was 2 queens. Went back to front desk and was told they were sold out, did not have any king beds and do not honor request made through 3rd parties. I went back to my room and searched the availability of rooms and they were not sold out and King beds were available. They lied to me. I went back down stairs and the shift manager Mike (a girl) told me that what she meant was standard King beds were sold out. They had King rooms that were an upgrade from standard kings but I couldn't have one of them. I was, at the least, a little upset because I had a reservation for a standard King that they would not honor.
Cons: See above about room type. The facility was nice but their practice of giving you whatever room is available if you don't book directly through them is unacceptable. I use kayak, Expedia and trip advisor a great deal and have never had this problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location to Bryce National Park was great and the accommodations were very comfortable and looked new
4.2 Okay
Pros: Rooms were clean.
Cons: Poor views considering the beauty of the area. Staff seemed uninterested.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The cabins were a nice change from a hotel and a cute idea.
Cons: It was ok that there was no closet, but some hooks on the wall to hang coats or clothes would have been nice. Also, the shower head was at an awkward angle. An adjustable one would have been better, or one directly overhead. All in all, we enjoyed it very much.

Cons: The hotel is old however it does have a new section that is listed on the internet but we were not able to stay in the new section. I was generally disappointed

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Everything worked and the room was clean.
Cons: Scary electrical setup for bed lamps with cords coming out of metal enclosures in a location that could easily produce fraying of the wires. Shower head was chest high. The staff was not exceptional in any way, but they were ok.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and well maintained. Understand that the location is somewhat 'remote' and your choices will be limited.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location is good.
Cons: Staff is not nice, even for a standard motel. feels like since you have paid then you just get what you have. No wifi. Not recommended if you have any other options.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: Close to Bryce Canyon.
Cons: A little on the pricey side, but nothing else to choose from that close to Bryce Canyon.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location is perfect.
Cons: Room was not completely clean. Very noisy refrigerator, noise from upstairs walking in room. Room next door you could hear when they turned on the water.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The main lodge is super fun with a great western theme. A pool area and a small exercise facility were also nice.
Cons: Actual rooms were a bit run down. The sound barrier between rooms is awful and we could hear people thumping up and down the metal stairs, diesel trucks coming in late, and people walk-in and talking outside and above us.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Coffee was not very tasty in the room
7.7 Good
Cons: Rug was all torn up. It was loud and two maids knocked on my door just after 9am and even after they knew I was still trying to sleep a bit longer, they were very loud outside and played loud music.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Check in was helpful, efficient and friendly. Email checkout a breeze
Cons: Not enough space for all guests at breakfast buffet. Also everything seemed disorganized. Hate brown bathroom tile with dirty-looking grout. Community areas and hallways had an odor
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect for sunrise access to Bryce
Cons: Musty room long walk to main hotel/store
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Ruby’s is quite a huge operation - much more so than I realized when I booked it. The rooms are cheap - a great value - but then they give you an extraordinary range of other ways to give them money (e.g. horse rides, general store, two restaurants, 6+ specialty stores, rodeo, helicopter tours).
Cons: We hadn’t stayed in a motel in a while and weren’t prepared for the bug infestation the first night. They should put bug-free lights at the room doors .
6.8 Good
Pros: Great location and great availability on off season.
Cons: Mini fridge was loud and made noise all night. Fighting Feral cats all over was disconcerting. Light in bathroom slow to come on.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, grounds, value and the facilities were move then I was expecting! Overall the best all around hotel that we stayed at on our spring break vacation.
Cons: Down side was that it didn’t snow while we were there.....but I don’t think that he hotel had any control over that!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Would stay again :)
7.4 Good
Pros: The location is super close to Bryce Canyon. The free shuttle (highly recommended) stops in front. The indoor pool and jacuzzi are nice. It's interesting to be in a unique property with a long history. It's got a cool western vibe throughout. Check in and check out was easy.
Cons: The stairwell in the main building reeks. The pool water is about 5 degrees too cold for comfort. The furniture and linens are dated. The noise above us on from the third floor was annoying. The grocery store is crazy expensive and fairly limited. I'd probably try the other Best Western property across the street, which is much newer.
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Americas Best Value Inn Bryce Canyon in Tropic, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Old Bryce Town and Ebenezer's Barn and Grill. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Cute place. It's an older style motel room with obviously aging furniture and bathroom fixtures, but it had everything we needed on our one-night stay on the way to Bryce Canyon. It's definitely the best value in the area as it's only a 15 minute drive from Bryce Canyon for much cheaper than the options in Bryce itself. I recommend the Pizza Place for dinner - they have an excellent dough recipe that apparently takes 3 days to make!
Cons: There is no mini fridge
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the money - clean, nice, free breakfast
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Was lucky to make reservation the day before. Only about seven miles from Bryce Canyon park. Motels nearer were 2-3 Times more in price. we just needed a clean place with wi-fi connection. Not sure what else was available.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great value. Clean rooms, very pleased overall.
Cons: Paving parking lot at time of my stay (not a big deal)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was so nice being close to the park and to have an inexpensive option because we were not in the room much. The room was old but very clean and comfortable and we had access to amenities in the sister hotels if we wanted. We did take advantage of the nice hot tub at Ruby's Inn one evening to soak our sore muscles, the temperature was perfect and we felt great after. We requested a refrigerator and microwave and our room had them!
Cons: The facility was old, having to go up the stairs.

Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
4.8 Okay
Pros: Location, restaurant was good.
Cons: Room was very dated, noisy as next to employee area, no wifi, few facilities, and pricey for the accommodations.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I would understand being charged for lodging if I didn't show up, but I would venture a bet that my room was rented out again after I gave 3 days' notice. If the hotel was able to rebook my room it seems only fair that I wouldn't have to pay for the stay I didn't make. That's how I do it at my place of business.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location close to Bryce National Park.
Cons: Motel (NOT a resort) is run down, shabby and out of date. The grounds are overrun with weeds and there is a junk yard and a run down mobile home group behind. We were put in one of their cabins...floor was uneven, toilet broken, phone didn't work, light bulb out in lamp, curtains shabby. The cabin was very dated, depressing, uncomfortable, and not worth the $212/night we were charged. We felt we were ripped off by this facility and were scammed by a deceiving web site and the pressure to book lodging here because of close location to Bryce. We remain upset with the time we spent here, the money we were charged, and the feeling of being taken advantage of.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location-It was located just 5 miles out of Bryce Canyon.
Cons: Toilet wasn't clean, shower was difficult to work, pool very small, staff wasn't very helpful, laundry was in disrepair and grounds were not attactive. Certainly not a resort!
4.8 Okay
Pros: Spacious
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: NOTHING IT WAS NOT SAFE ITS IN A TRAILER PARK WITH HOMELESS
Cons: CLEANING AND SAFETY
5.1 Okay
Pros: NEAR BRYCE CANYON ACCESS
Cons: no WIFI ACCESS
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely welcoming and kind. Attached to the only restaurant open till 11pm for late check ins like us. Delicious food, can be a tad expensive, but again, delicious. Room was comfy and homey.
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: Location was close to the Canyons
Cons: They should be ashamed of themselves to hold themselves out as a resort, truly deceptive advertising. Pretty mush like a joke from a Chevy Chase movie. It was a run down joke
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cute cabins, a little rustic.
Cons: Location - was a long walk into town
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great customer service, clean, cheap, convenient location
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: It was quiet, relaxing, staff was quite friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Lack of WiFi in the rooms, and low cell phone reception. The room was fair in cleanliness. I tried to find additional plug in for two C paps, and found candy wrapper, and dirt behind the bedside table, so it was not vacuumed there. This bothered me, because I am OCD and focused on what else might have been missed. The rest of the room seemed fine. Our room was under stairs, and so parking was a bit inconvenient to our room.
