The Sands Ocean Club Resort is located on the beachfront of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The resort is only three miles from the Skywheel Myrtle Beach and less than a mile from Carolina Opry Theater. Myrtle Beach Mall and Dunes Shopping Center offer shopping within three miles. This ocean view hotel is a short 10 miles from the Myrtle Beach International Airport. The 3-star hotel offers 450 non-smoking guestrooms and suites.

The hotel offers efficiency rooms, one and two-bedroom suites, and executive suites with two bedrooms. Every room is spacious and offers a private balcony along with a private bathroom with two vanities. Complimentary high-speed wireless Internet and flat-screen televisions are included in each guestroom. Efficiency rooms have a kitchenette while suites include a full kitchen and dining area. The executive suite has two bathrooms and a washer and dryer.

Pros:Beachfront, location was decent in terms of traffic
Cons:Starting at check in the front staff was unfriendly, & you could look down a hallway behind them to see molded carpeting and holes in the walls. The spotted carpet in was also found on the hallway on the 9th floor. We had no towels in the room, & when we called for them we was told that housekeeping would bring some when they got a chance. We ended up having to go to the lobby to get them ourselves...after putting our morning on hold for 3 hours waiting for them. Lastly, the room was just unclean. Carpeting looked dirty, shower curtain was yellow tinted from ???? I don’t know what! Decent pricing yes, but we’re used to stay at our timeshare at the other Sands Oceans Resort...of course it wasn’t our week to stay there, but we thought no big deal we’ll stay at the sister one. Expecting the same environment and cleanliness we received yearly, was a big disappointment. For future weekend stays, we will stay somewhere else.

Pros:I loved the fact that we were right on the beach, and that there was swimming pools also available.
Cons:The hotel is worn. It was somewhat clean, but paint was chipping, carpet needed to be replaced. There were no hand towels or wash cloths in the room. They did not make up my bed, but others that I was with had theirs done.

Cons:It's a pretty bad resort that doesn't compete with the cleanliness and basics that are found in your average Motel 6. Even for a room with a kitchenette, there was no couch, A "kitchen table" that could only fit a laptop, and loud music, and fireworks late at night. If you're coming to relax and catch up on sleep, this is not the place to be. The carpet was absolutely disgusting.

Pros:Liked that it was on the beach
Cons:We didn't get the room that we asked for so that was a big disappointment right off the start and they wouldn't change us rooms. The room we got had a funky smell and they never cleaned it very good. It was just awful. Not staying there again.

Pros:Great facilities and a lot of fun. There was a kids club for the little ones. Beach was wonderful. Our side view of the ocean was great. Staff at front desk was super and we had daily maid service. My twenty something kids had a blast but it's better if they are over 21.We asked for a grade A efficiency and Gita great room!
Cons:Sofa bed was just ok.

Pros:Real like that it was right at the Beach like the pools indoor and out also that everything we needed was close by Grocery Stores places to eat.
Cons:That we had to ask for towels and our room was not cleaned well. We still enjoyed our trip would come again.
