The hosts were very welcoming and had cake and tea waiting for us. They stayed up quite late in the night to welcome us to the property. The directions to the property were very clear. The views from our bedroom were amazing and it was decorated really stylishly. The breakfast served was good. Overall our stay was very comfortable and lovely.
George and Maria were wonderful hosts. The welcome (with excellent lemon syrup cake) and the cooking in general were great. George is fantastically knowledgeable about the mountains and surrounding area, keen to offer advice on routes and water sources etc., unstinting with his time and keen to ensure safety. The guesthouse is spectacular with lovely, comfortable rooms and views. One of the loveliest places we've stayed.
Nothing at all.
Staying in this beautiful little pension has been one of the highlights of our Peloponnes roadtrip. The view from the balcony is absolutely breathtaking, you can just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The two owners are the most welcoming and friendly people and made us feel right at home straight away. Breakfast and dinner were excellent: everything was homemade and tasted great! We wish that we could have stayed longer!
It is a lovely place away from the tourist crowd, a village over Sparta ( Mystras ) with an incredible view. Great owners always available to help and great food, even for 1 night is worth to go.
With a stay at Guesthouse Arhontiko in Sparta, you'll be 9.2 mi (14.7 km) from Olive and Greek Olive Oil Museum and 9.5 mi (15.2 km) from Sparta Archaeological Museum. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
