9.3 Excellent
Pros: Helen and Willie were wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and convenient as possible.
Cons: The only down side was that the bed was a double, not a queen, so my 6 foot 4 inch husband's feet hung off the end of it. He's used to this so it wasn't a big deal, but a bigger bed would be nice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless
Cons: Check in could be a little earlier

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent countryside retreat. Ideally located within the Wicklow mountains.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our nights stay here. Beautiful views of the lake and Wicklow mountains and a lovely walk down to the lake. We were welcomed with tea and fresh scones on arrival and the breakfast was very good - lots of choice and very good farm eggs. We would love to come back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Abhainn Ri for two nights whilst attending Punchestown Racing Festival. We believed we was fairly well prepared for what we were about to encounter with this BB farmhouse but we were completely blown away by what we found on arrival. We consider we are fairly well travelled but words or pictures can not fully do justice to the real experience we found on arrival as we pulled up in the car we were astounded by the full landscape overlooking the lakes with the mountains as a backdrop and the lush green fields to the fore. Now this is our piece of good fortune for the next three days looking out onto this beautiful landscape, we have stayed at some of the best hotels in major cities but nothing ever compared to this and the accommodation suite matched the initial impact and added to the amazing stroke of luck we had in finding Abhainn Ri. This surely can not continue but we had also decided to include the breakfast and some may question the price but don't because this is no ordinary breakfast first you really get to meet the lovely couple Niamh and Joe who are so nice and so attentive to your every need, the fair on offer should fulfil every taste and there is no limit so what is on offer with constant hot tea and coffee along with the toasted homemade bread delivered to your table in the fantastic farmhouse breakfast room. If anyone needs to eat at anytime throughout the day after this breakfast they should consider seeing their doctor, we even had to cut back our evening meal after the fantastic breakfast provided by Niamh and Joe the brilliant host of Abhainn Ri which led us to back a 13/2 winner at Punchestown with a horse of a similar name to the Farm. We believe you would have to go a long way to beat the triple combined treat of picturesque views accommodation and food and we have to thank the enterprise of Joe and Niamh for sharing this with us.
Cons: Leaving
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the Farmhouse is lovely - and there is a beautiful view over the lakes from the rooms. Niamh and Joe are lovely hosts and the breakfasts they made were delicious. We really enjoyed our relaxing weekend staying at Abhainn Ri and hope we get the opportunity to come back in the future!

Pros: Spectacular views, very comfortable, owned & run by a lovely couple
Cons: For the price, the breakfast wasn’t the greatest (sausages were very tangy), and would like a midday checkout for €165 per night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful home in a spectacular location. Although our bedroom and bathroom were a little small, they were lovely, spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with fantastic views. Breakfast was delicious and typical of the Irish, filling!! Niamh and Joe were perfect hosts and I particularly enjoyed that we were welcome to walk across the sheep fields to the river.

5.8 Okay
Pros: The grounds at Killashee were stunning. The gardens are so pretty and are lovely for a walk in the morning. The bistro area was super nice and was very clean. The rooms were a grand place to sleep not very modern but were clean and comfy. Shower was great.
Cons: Felt like the price was very high for one night there were several people we knew staying in the hotel on one night and we all were charged different prices. Granted I know you can book on different sites but usually I don’t find the price to vary too much, this time some rooms had €50 difference between them even thou numbers and types of Rooms were the same. The rooms were extremely hot in the good weather, bedrooms and dining areas were all very warm and since the windows could only be open a small amount or not at all at times it was very uncomfortable.
6.3 Good
Pros: Gardens, room, location
Cons: Bistro and service, as so dirty glasses from bar, room was not made, had to request clean towels and for dirty plates to b removed

Pros: Location and lovely breakfast , nice large rooms also.
Cons: Room was like a furnace , so uncomfortably warm ..had a fan but really not great for how warm it was ..I Mentioned this on check out. didn’t bother making a fuss the evening we arrived as were going out almost as soon as we got there. Also the very small window barely opened which would have helped to have some fresh air! I’m booked into Lalor’s again under a group of 3 for sept and would reconsider this booking based on how uncomfortably warm the room was. All other aspects were perfectly nice , lovely setting for breakfast and food was lovely.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly relaxing place to stay with great value for money. Enjoyed the golf course and the scenery.
Cons: Nothing much to complain about.
4.5 Okay
Pros: bed was nice, clean and with a good matress. View on the golf course nice as well. The real pro is the restaurant/bar with really good staff and food. Great, rich and tasty breakfast. But if the other rooms look like ours, go there alone and sleep somewhere else.
Cons: the furniture was all banged up, with some paint stains on it, no matter which furniture. one nighttable drawer did non close but stood open the whole time. the whole room looked like someone threw in stuff from the goodwill. the bath was a real joke. the door does not close without interruption, unidentifiable stains on the toilet seat, sink discoloured as well. the tiles looked as if they are cleaned once a year, the armature as well. in a corner beside a closet was a PILE of dust. Mirror (in the room) dirty as well. In the stairway are buckets to catch the water coming from the ceiling. Not temporary? Hallways as well look used and as if they had their best.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: Rooms and hotel in general state of disrepair, lots of dirt and grass in the reception area, cracks and mould in the room walls, dining area very congested and dated looking.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very modern facilities..comfortable bed and beautiful surroundings
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good - location scenic
Cons: Hotel is fine if you are playing golf! Bar is basic. If you want a good nights sleep go elsewhere. The doors have to be banged shut to close properly and the walls are paper thin. There was a wedding on and I probably got 3-4 hours sleep and had to be up early the next morning. The noise of people going to bed was horrendous. The toilet was not secured properly to the wall and I was afraid it was going to come off. Would not stay there again. Lady on reception very nice on leaving - but too little too late.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic!! Excellent choice Lovely staff

Cons: Noisy but not a lot staff could have done to stop it. Children were running up and down the corridor past our room and the parents were very vocal keeping an eye on them.
6.3 Good
Pros: Modern decor
Cons: Restaurant was very awful..wouldn't recommend the food...bar food looked and smelt much better

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Short distance to restrauntes and bars
Cons: The service was not good. Breakfast was unorganised and very crammed we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated . There was no glasses for water or juices , left waiting 15 minutes for cup of tea, no selection of pastries. The leisure centre was the biggest disappointment, as the temperature of the hydro pool water was too cold to sit in and not very clean and the metal surrounding the hydro pool was also full of rust. No toilet roles in the leisure centre toilets, broken hairdryers in changing room, myself and my partner had to leave with damp hair as the hairdryers died while using.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the room was big and spacious
6.8 Good
Pros: The bathroom in the room was fantastic.
Cons: The pool very basic. Very disappointing and the fact the I had to wait 20 mins to be seated for my breakfast when I could clearly see there tables there just not being cleared off.

No hello or thank you ..nothing We pre paid for our meal in which we were told if you prepay your meal it comes with a complimentary drink, so we pre payed, we had our meal which was gorgeous and when we were paying the €3 supp charge for steak we had a big bill and didnt know how we were charged for stuff that came with the dinner as well as drinks when i was explaining to the girls in the restaurant we were told no it doesnt come with a drink , there were a couple people around waiting to be seated it was embarrassing.we went back to the reception as we were told you need to speak to them , the girl had a disgusted look on her face when we were explaining .

Pros: Gorgeous scenery and grounds. One of the most beautiful I've seen on a hotel property. The woman who checked us in was friendly.
Cons: Our room had no temperature control, and it was way too hot. The bedside lamp didn't work. TV reception kept cutting out and resetting. Our room was right by the elevator, so we heard lots of loud conversing well into the night. The parking situation was pretty dire. Sometimes it seemed the walk to the car park was a little long. Downgraded us to a twin room because only two were traveling, even though we booked a larger room. The woman who checked us out was kind of unfriendly and short with us. Annoyed that we didn't remember our 4 digit room number at 7 am. I can barely remember my PIN.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was lovely. Clean bright had everything.
Cons: Don't like having to go out for swimming pool. It lashed rain! Confusion about what you can eat in which area. Couldn't have dessert outside eating area even though there was no space in eating area. One place has sausage and chips the other had bread and no sausage. Staff helpfully and got sausages for me in cafe area. It was for child who just wanted sausage sambo.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The big beds, fabulous breakfast, and dinner in the buffet upstairs in the evening.

Pros: The facilities for small children were v good. The girls in charge were excellent. The gluten free options for breakfast were excellent as well as the dairy alternatives.
Cons: Gluten free options for kids in the bar. The price for one night was 129 euro. Too much for 1 adult and 1 4 year old.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast
Cons: Previous room occupant had used the toilet in the en-suite prior to vacating room and not flushed, toilet had not been cleaned prior to my occupancy. Also only source of fresh air is via a velux roof light which could not be opened due to heavy rain during night as a result room extremely stuffy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was excellent couldn't fault it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff are lovely, nice and friendly. The breakfast was great.
Cons: The pot of coffee I had at breakfast wasn’t great. That is literally the only complaint I have about this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I booked a night away for my mam n dad they were so helpful on phone and put chocolates into the room.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing. Not up to standard. Terrible customer service
Cons: Hotel is in dire need of upgrading. It has a musty smell when you enter reception. There is no lift. The doors, carpets and room decor is very dated. The doors are operated by keys which I haven't seen in a hotel for last 20 years. The very elderly lady behind reception could do do with a course in customer service. She was the rudest person I have ever dealt with and the fact she was the owner make me wonder how this lady is in business. The breakfast was served in the bar where there was people drinking at 9 o'clock. There was soup spoons provided in a basket which appears to be the norm. I had to request deserts spoons. The cornflakes were an inferior brand as were the sausages. I didn't eat my breakfast as the quality was so substandard. The tea was served in mugs. Far too overpriced
9.3 Excellent
Cons: Noisy road
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was easy to find the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Later on in the evening a party was going on in the lounge bar on the ground floor and the singing was loud and keeping me awake.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic, they went beyond any of my expectations to make me comfortable. It was a great experience to have such friendly (not false) staff who wanted to help me with getting settled, to altering breakfast to suit my taste/ to ordering a take away for me after I came in from a festival. I can't put into words how I appreciate their attention to my needs. I was on my own & I felt safe & secure in the Townhouse hotel, thanks to the staff & Tom Ryan ( taxi, recommended by staff). I love baths so I did miss not having one, wasn't the end of the world because everything else made up for it. Will be back next year
9.5 Excellent

Pros: Amazing place and very welcoming staff.
Cons: The water runs badly in the shower.
4.5 Okay
Cons: There was a disco going on right outside our window until 3 am - not quite the good nights sleep that I had in mind.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Absolutely shocking.. Would never stay again and would not recommend to anyone
Cons: It's not a hotel.. More like a cattle mart. Every beat of music is just as loud in the bedroom as it was in the nightclub/bar. Fire alarm went off from 11pm until after midnight. They filled a bar with a smoke machine that set it off.. A very very below par service. Also the "Hotel" staff are not very good at their job.. It doesn't even get 1 star!!!!
